I'm not sure "star quality" came out of her mouth Had these been different times, the commonwealth might have been separated so as to have separate kingdoms under one and Charles would have had his. That's what I would have done. I was reading a book on the Ottoman empire and it's always funny how some power plays are credited to some unsuspected figure when the less glamourous reality is obscured, like this Mother of a Sultan Nakshi Dil, when all the while she takes her intell' from her bankers about Napoleon and Russia, for example. Anyways. QE is still here. Carry on. Royal Announcement: William & Kate Will Officially Be King & QueenTake a look at your newest soon-to-be King and Queen of England! Today, Queen Elizabeth officially announced that she will be passing down her crown to her grandson Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton. This, of course, means that the Queen has skipped over her own son, Prince Charles, in the British monarchy’s line of succession. Bummer. More: The royal family is hiring, & anyone can apply While the drama surrounding the royal family has taken most of the attention away from their policies and image of regal stature, the Queen believes implementing a younger generation than her son is vital for the House of Windsor to thrive in the future. “Her Majesty realized that William and Kate are the future,” said a palace insider. “She has spent 65 years making sure that the House of Windsor survives, and she sees William and Kate as having the energy and star quality to do the job in a modern world. Queen Elizabeth will always do what is best for the long-term health of the monarchy.” -50% read more here: www.yahoo.com/celebrity/royal-announcement-william-kate-officially-021200634.html

Lovely. Leave it to my bestie to go where nobody has gone before, and make her grandson happy: QE2 gives her approval. The wedding date may already be set according to Vanity Fair, somewhere between QE2 's wedding anniversary and the royal birth.

This might be useful and a propos: Rules the royals have to followGenerally: no kissy faces, no selfies, no autographs, no spread eagled knees, no pinkies and it's implied...no crotches.

They do look happy and in love. I wonder if now that Harry is settling down, if everyone else will feel free to go ahead and might have been putting off until he did...? I find Harry is looking more shy these days. Maybe he's adjusting to it all. It was time, since he was mostly tagging along while William had a life. Hopefully he's comfortable with the overall rhythm of things. I find Eugenia's ring original. May they be very happy. they look great and in love! Hopefully the parents will not ruin it ... I don't think the BRF left anyone home for Ascot's opening (except Andrew?) ! It's always exciting with new members in the family, although Meghan's hat dialed her down maybe a bit much. Otherwise, they were out in full force and the newlyweds presented second place, I gather, while HRH Princess Anne who's a new grandma to a baby girl presented first place. www.newmyroyals.com/2018/06/british-royal-family-attended-first-day.html

HM is meeting Trump today and I'm relieved in a way that he got the most dreaded moment out of the way already by pivoting the anticipated improper touching over to his nemesis, Stormy Daniels. Meanwhile other tips: fortune.com/2018/07/12/trump-queen-meeting-protocol/I hope Prince Philip is there with a priceless quip. And to keep him at bay. Trump has been known to tackle the Montenegro president just for a picture....

Update on the visit: 1) mayhem and 2) never play poker with the Queen It's today actually, my bad. Maybe tomorrow morning, there will be a tabloid with his backstabbing comments embargoed from the day before, about the Queen this time, while we're at it. Quelle ordure. {point made} HM is meeting Trump today and I'm relieved in a way that he got the most dreaded moment out of the way already by pivoting the anticipated improper touching over to his nemesis, Stormy Daniels. Harry: Prince's astonishing claim about the future of the monarchy is revealed in extraordinary interview Prince Harry, 32, claimed that nobody in his family 'wants to be king or queen' He also seemed to criticise decision to make him walk behind his mother's coffin The fifth in line to the throne insisted the UK needs the 'magic' of the monarchy snip: 'The monarchy is a force for good and we want to carry on the positive atmosphere that the Queen has achieved for over 60 years, but we won't be trying to fill her boots. We are involved in modernising the British monarchy. We are not doing this for ourselves but for the greater good of the people. 'The Queen has been fantastic in letting us choose. Is the Daily Mail recycling stories? Anyhow, definitely good maternal genes for my bestie. I just read that the Hanovers at Marienburg were robbed. Swords and militaria, apparently. In a perfect world, you don't need regicides or total anarchy, to usher new political systems especially when you're not dealing with tyranny. Didn't Louis XIV set up a separate, more democratic system while he kept his family's historical gains? Not to say said systems can not be tweaked in keeping with the times, but this violence at completely overthrowing something that contributed to the present day is wasteful IMO. The Men in Black for a good cause 😃 Actually, Wills apparently finished a 3-week program with the British Secret Service. Not a bad preparation for sure. But rather than delve too deep in that pond, he should always remember that as a prince, those who came before him will always protect him and he should have faith in that. There are always rabbit holes to follow, but only one of him and he is there by a unique set of circumstances unlike others. Pity the words sometimes fail to explain things more clearly. www.noblesseetroyautes.com/charles-william-et-harry-a-la-presentation-de-la-serie-our-planet/

Good of Scotland to ask Boris Johnson to account for his questionable move and for more transparency about the process leading up to going to QE2 for a prorogation. QE2 has never interfered with democracy, to her great credit. You can't have the UK turning into what the US lets itself become the longer Trump is there. That's just wrong imo. www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-49674516
