I assume you mean me. By the way, I've never been referred to the Anglo way of spelling Loulou. Wrong tribe. I'm not making a counter statement to anyone's posts, but rather simply saying its just as generally probable that the official version is a fabrication. And I say that I'll stick to my intuition. Nothing directed at you, Marie.

14 hours of labour, natural birth... is that to drum up sympathy? Somehow I'm skeptical that someone that skinny underwent a full, natural birth. 8 lbs is a healthy size. Plus, why would she need to stay in hospital an extra day, if they didn't have to stitch up the Cesarian section. I'm going to stick to my subliminal dream that said this baby arrived before the official version. It's just as probable. Even if they gave in to social media curiosity, it doesn't mean that they didn't give themselves an advance. with a C section she would have had to stay a week at least. They might have had to open her a bit or the head as it seems pretty big and a big baby usual needs extra space. In French hospitals they keep you usually with a natural birth for 3 days, especially if they had to cut you and a week for a c section. Though it can be longer with C section.

I wish they would name him Ludwig. Ludwig von Windsor.
He would still be Lulu.

Not going to happen.

ultimately the queen wil name him. So we know he won't be called theodor as she doesn't like that name. wasn't her father called David before he turned into George? A philip might be in there too. but we can say one thing for sure: he will have a name...

I heard some bookies were taking bets for the name "Louis", actually, which I think would be a lame attempt to usurp the Bourbon legacy for posterity, though not a surprising ploy altogether considering no king has yet to really outdo Louis XIV and the leitmotiv has been to revise history lately, with faux "kingdoms" sprouting out of the sands.

tradition. her majesty's father, past kings. i'm sure there are british royal watchers and historians that are much much better than me with the exact historical information. i'm sure it's been posted but sacha is a "nickname" for alexander in russian, i believe. i guess those two just liked it. ?

yes SAcha is Russian nickname for ALexander. I'm pretty sure he has more then just one name though. Sacha is also resembling Pacha, Caros boat.

Well if my bestie chose Louis for a certain dear friend of hers, what can you do? Be graceful about it? I certainly hope Sacha is the nickname and not the official name. However, George is not the most modern. It's classic, yes, and there are ways to alter it so a poor baby doesn't sound like he's 60 already. I find Scottish names in English more interesting, Seamus, Magnus though I've never heard of kings with those names...

LOL yes I thought it's a bit old for a baby, but he has 3 names to chose from. Harry is never called by his proper name and Will is the same. It's short, which is always handy for parents and honestly I don't think that James would have been any younger, but added the butler connotation. Or the other male names. I guess Andrew is the most modern they have and Philip is ageless. Don't forget they had to please the queen, an entire Kingdom, connect to history and chose names that are international as well. Plus they have to go with the title he will inherit in a few decades. King Kevin is just not going to happen. Let the Philips name their kids like landscapes, especially when the mom is named after a season, but I think these names are fine. Not great, but not awful either. Chances are he will prefer his second name, but eventually he'll grow into it. And don't forget the Clooney once was als a baby boy called George Also I think that it is good that the names are fairly neutral. Sure the queens dad was called George as King, but in private he wasn't. So with these names the kid is granted a start on his own terms. No leaning to living family members, no nod to his dead grandmother and the likes. Just normal classic names. And being a big baby, he surely deserves already the name Alexander. Let's see how the other ones will fit him as he goes through life.

Why will he be given three names and not as I used to think they will four names ? Compare with PA his second name is also from Alexander but written as Alexandre and his third name Louis written as the same.
