I find this rather sickening. One decadent wedding isn't enough, one wedding day isn't enough, it's all more, more, more. They are having a two-day wedding in Monaco first (just one day like the rest of the world isn't enough) and then they're going to repeat the whole thing in SA. Why? Is the Monaco wedding too public? Can't they party hard enough there? Is it work and is the second party all play? I don't see the point? Why not a wedding tour of parties in every continent just for the sake of it - to spread the love? Albert has relatives in the US, they don't get a party? How many stupid weddings can they hold? To me it gives the impression that they have the wedding in Monaco only because they have to, but that the real party is in SA, away from prying eyes. If I were a Monegasque I would feel insulted. It's Albert's country, the wedding should be there and it should be the only one. I haven't seen this behaviour in any royal wedding in the past 15 years. The most nauseating is the display of "we have too much money and don't know what to do with it", it is a slap in the face of anyone with common sense. Monaco isn't doing well, not many countries are doing well, SA is a poor country with enough problems of its own and a certain restraint wouldn't go astray. The Monaco wedding depends on sponsoring, yet truckloads of money gets spend on the SA thingy? These two are so out of touch with reality that they are approaching it from the other side. I'll be glad when it's the end of June when I'll quit following all things monegasques and I'll will never ever have to get worked up about these braindead idiots and their delusions ever again. Words are failing me to express what I feel about it.

if we're lucky some big world event will happen. i absolutely do not wish anything catastrophic where anyone dies. but something big so no one pays attention to this over the top circus. oh i hope his other children come out of the wood work -- come on silent baby mamas -- you can do it!!! Well, to cancel German coverage, it only has to do with Fukoshima, some more government problems or sth in the Middle East like Gaddafi dead? Assad resigned etc. I think it will be most likely sth in the Middle East to provide the news.. Most likely it will be sth that will exemplify the decadence and tastelessness of this circus.

How about the announcement that Kate is pregnant while they are on tour in the US. This would make Charlene wail, WHY WHY WHY!!! Also there is the problem of the wedding dress since she dissed Armani. He might choose that day to screw Charlene. Nicole is working for a German TV doing commentary -- I'm sure she will pull something juicy on Albert. I'm hoping for her facial procedures to fail, so she'll look like the elephant man. ;D

Of course that will happen when she gets sown into her last ever Armani dress by the maitre himself who will claim temporary insanity for ever having allowed coatie be associated with his name. KL will come to his aid straight away saying that he had been forced at gunpoint by MMe Stahl to say sth about coaties butt and that no person their right mind and not under the influence could possibly want to dress a woman that resembles sth the cat dragged home....

Well, we can say whatever we want but Charlene Wittstock is living "la vida loca" right now. Actually she had sailed true one of the economically most difficult times in modern history without worrying for a day or lifting her finger. While educated and highly competent people all over the world had to worry about keeping their jobs, roofs over their family's heads and putting the food on their tables, uneducated, un-skilled and unemployable creature like WC had everything handed to her. Even now she is living an extravagant life in SA planning her own version of wedding on Monegasques expanse. She basically got the card blanche from Albert to do whatever she pleases in exchange for his "freedom". She is happy with the arrangements because (as she said in one of her posts) the reason why their relationship works so well is because Charlene understands Albert and gives him all the freedom he needs and in return he gives her everything she wants and lets her have her own private thing/life on the side. It is a win win situation...except for the Monegasques. After all Albert has a plenty of money (that he didn't work for, but had inherited it) so he can spend it any way he wants. So no matter what we or anyone else thinks, Charlene is having the time of her life right now. She is back to SA (without media and PR team this time) to reconnect with the friends and family she didn't see (she ignored) for the last five years while trying "to catch the Prince". Also, she needs to make sure she shuts up anyone willing to speak by inviting them to her SA wedding party. She is preparing a lavish party in the most expansive hotel in SA (she will stay in $50,000 a night suite for a week) as well as her guests (they will stay in a "cheaper" rooms, $7,000 to $10,000 a night). Considering that just a few years ago Charlene came to Monaco without two pennis in her pocket and with two duffel bags full of trashy clothing I find this kind of behavior tasteless and repulsive not only from her and her family, but from Albert as well. I wonder what Caroline and rest of the family has to say about this...if anything (I must admit I am very much disappointed in them as well. It seems to me that the whole Grimaldi family had give up and surrender to Wittstocks everything their ancestors were working for). The Wistocks are over the moon and can't believe their good luck. I am sure they have been pinching themselves on a daily bases the same way their daughter said that she has been doing since she landed in MOnaco. In just a few years they jumped a few social ladders, something that takes other families to accomplish with a hard work in a few generations...maybe! Never underestimate the power of spread legs (especially when you deal with a spoiled, male moron)! The Wittstocks who used to leave on one average salary and in a $40,000 home, had overnight become one of the most affluent families in SA. The newly rich (and the nouveau riche) Wittstocks are not even shy to take a full advantage of their new situation. They all feel entitled, especially daughter and father. They have been thinking about moving to (retiring in) Monaco, like that was one of their plans from a long time ago. They have no problems moving the whole family to another (very expensive country) on someone else dime. Even if they ould sell everything they have (including their life savings, if they had any) they could not survive more then a month in Monaco. But now...they are debating to permanently move to Monaco or maybe live six months in SA and six months in Monaco. Of course, while in SA they won't be staying in their ragged home in an un-safe neighborhood, but they will have a new home in an upscale neighborhood (maybe even in Durban). I still stand by the rumor that Wittstocks (Charlene) are buying a new home in SA, because it wouldn't be OK that the family of Monaco's Princess live in a shabby and un-safe neighborhood with contaminated water. Right? Someone had said that Charlene Wittstock is the luckies person in SA (I would say in the world) for acquiring fame, fortune and title in only few years by having no virtues. In the real world, if one looked at her credentials, she wouldn't be able to get even a receptionist job. At it best she could be swimming instructor or she could go back to bag groceries as she briefly did (for a week or two until she figured out that being an escort pays much better). Charlene is also an extremely generous person, because not only that she takes care of her whole family, but she also offers to pay for her friends and acquaintances to come to her wedding. She even offers to get them in touch with SA fashion designers who can land them a complete wardrobe so they could attend her wedding and not look like the white trash she used to look like (and be). Yeah, I would say so too; Charlene Wittstock IS the luckiest woman in the world!

Thanks for all that Royal Pauper! Charlene is definitely lucky - lucky that she hooked up with such an incredibly stupid sucker. Charelne really thinks that she is so smart - but she isn't - Albert is just so dumb. Albert really bought Charlene's Olympics swan song and her shoulder injury scam. He really bought it. Charlene coming to Monaco with her two raggedy suitcases (remember the airport photos) of trashy clothes reminds me of the Swedish folktale of the con artist traveler who scammed this old miserly woman by telling her he needed nothing from her because he could provide for himself. The traveler carried a stone around with him to make what he called stone soup - and all he needed from her was a pot of water. Eventually, the old woman gave the traveler potatoes, vegetable, flour and meat to add to his stone soup - and she felt good about not being taken advantage of.
Charlene suckered Albert telling him she needed nor wanted anything from him - as she came to Monaco penniless jobless and skill-less. Now, look what she got with just her stone two raggedy suitcases of trashy clothes.

I guessed since South Africa's President declined their wedding invite, Sucker Al and Vulgarlene are snubbing him for their South African party - although they are inviting other South African dignitaries. I still cannot believe that they are even having such a lavish party knowing her terrible Monaco's economy is. These two are the most self-fish self-absorbed self-centered and narcissistic royal couple ever! What really bothers me is that South Africa's government has to spend money to provide some of the security (Albert is a head of state) for these two fame-whores need to get another attention fix. From South Africa's Sunday Times:
Monaco royal couple snub Zuma
SNE MASUKU 28 June, 2011 President Jacob Zuma has not been invited to the lavish party being thrown by Prince Albert II of Monaco and South African swimming champion Charlene Wittstock in Umhlanga, north of Durban, to celebrate their marriage.
The couple is expected to treat about 200 "close friends and South African dignitaries" at the luxurious Oyster Box hotel next week, following their wedding in Monaco at the weekend.
The Presidency yesterday confirmed that Zuma had not received an invitation to the local cocktail party.
Presidency spokesman Zizi Kodwa said the party was "definitely" not on Zuma's diary.
"The president will be in Limpopo on Thursday next week, monitoring hospitals in the area. This is an intense programme that is expected to take up the whole day; he is expected to be in Limpopo until very late," said Kodwa.
Zuma would be too busy to attend. "Even if the president's office does get an invite at a later stage, it does not look like he would attend," he said.
While Swaziland's King Mswati has been invited to the cocktail party, Zulu monarch King Goodwill Zwelithini has not received an invitation. The Zulu king's spokesman, Mbonisi Zulu said the royal household was unaware of the function and that it was not on the king's diary.
The two-day royal wedding is expected to bring Monaco to a standstill. Declared a public holiday in Monaco, citizens around the country are expected to watch the wedding live on television.
Oyster Box general manager Wayne Coetser said the hotel would beef up security for the much-anticipated party to ensure that "only invited guests gain access to the venue".
"We want to make sure that there are no gate-crashers. We will have the assistance of the SA Police Service, plus we have hired two security companies to be on guard," said Coetser.
"This is a private function and we will do all we can to ensure that the couple and their guests are able to enjoy the renowned Oyster Box hospitality to the fullest."

Let's discussed the South African leg of their insatiable appetite to show off their wealth and their photos opps with famous people. I will also change the title of the thread to include discussions about the IOC meeting because I am sure Albert will take Charlene there as a publicity ploy to think people in believing that Charlene is also part of the IOC and that they are of course happy, in love and together.

Oh, don't forget all the little brown babies she can hug and hold to have her picture taken with. An addition to her not so impressive CV.

Oh, don't forget all the little brown babies she can hug and hold to have her picture taken with. An addition to her not so impressive CV. Oh, don't remind me. She has humanitarian projects scheduled with Bishop Desmond Tutu (I started a thread for it in Charlene's board) - so Princess Conlene of Monaco will show the entire world what an humanitarian she is and just how much she loves all those African brown children - well except the ones that her husband has fathered. Charlene photo-opping and exploitating these children for her narcissistic fix will come back to haunt her one day.

Every recent article that I've read about this reception, there are expecting between 400 to 450 people. Here is a photo of the fairy tale couple arriving in Durban

The couple moved their wedding up by six days to be able to attend the IOC meeting, where the host of the 2018 Winter Olympics will be decided on Wednesday.

I think they might get more coverage than normal because the press is still under the delusion that Charlene really seriously planned to walk away from the title, fame and money (in that order). From an AFP article:
S.Africa's Zuma to lunch with Monaco's royal newlyweds
by AFP JULY 5, 2011
South African President Jacob Zuma will have lunch on Wednesday with newlyweds Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco, the president’s office said Tuesday.
The couple arrived in Charlene’s home country on Tuesday for the annual session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), of which Albert is a member.
Zuma’s office said he would host the royal newlyweds for lunch in Durban, the eastern port city where the IOC is holding its annual general meeting to decide the host of the 2018 Winter Olympics.
"President Jacob Zuma will (Wednesday) have lunch with His Serene Highness Prince Albert and Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco at the presidential residence in Durban," the presidency said in a statement.
Albert and Charlene, who married at the weekend, moved their wedding back by six days to be able to attend the IOC meeting.
Both are former Olympians — he a bobsleigh racer for Monaco, she a backstroke swimmer for South Africa.
The couple are planning a lavish dinner reception for 400 guests on Thursday night at the five-star Oyster Box Hotel in the resort town of Umhlanga, north of Durban.
