actually dared to report on this marketing show
was it sugar or snarky? i'm guessing sugar since Germans seem to like her more than anybody.
interesting story today about how the enquirer and star had a "deal" not to rat out dawg of the day arnold. it was financial and i'm guessing FatAl has more than a few "sweet" deals with bild, PDV and whatever. they'll still turn on him if it's more profitable but it hasn't happened yet. when those covers don't sell maybe they will drop the nondynamic duo. i know there won't be a dozen "special edition-wedding of the century" magazines like there are for WillKat JMO

uuuuppss... the PR-event is a total fiasco according to this. Monaco wanted to set up this event to shine ... but the message that comes accross is "We don't manage to realize anything." Sorry - but this wedding planned Pr-event is a mess. CALL IT OFF...

Seeing that we're still here and the end of the world and/or the end of humanity hasn't happened: the German tabloids. German media is still writing negative stuff, just wish they would write something with more evidence and less sucked-out-of-thumb content. Anyway, Neue Welt (für die Frau - so all males should look away now): Wedding disaster - Monaco doesn't get exited. Rainier and Grace wedding, blah blah. No good omens for the wedding, one disaster follows the other. And even a month and a half before the wedding the Monegasques don't get excited about it. Followed by a review of wedding failures, souvenirs not ready, strike threatening and so on. Including the remark that he won't get any sympathy for continuing the party in SA. Accompanied with two pics of his parents wedding and only one pic of the lovebirds with Albert wearing white and looking his most massive yet. White is so not his colour. He'd better be careful on his wedding day, they might mistake It for the groom and then assume he's the bride. All that white.... 7 Tage has the headline "What did Charlene promise his father Rainier?". Nothing I would say. I would want to bet my stamp collection to one of Albert's that Albert never ever even thought about introducing her to his dad. No idea what the article says, but I doubt it's worth reading. Das Neue Blatt reports "Secret wedding in Africa". Apparently nobody should have known about it? It's almost a PR article for that hotel in SA and it looks at first sight like a translation of the newspaper article that was published some time ago. Interesting headline btw, the suggestion that the real wedding is in SA and not in Monaco. It seems I'm not the only one that got the impression that the MC events are a compulsory fob off. The best bit is actually several pages on: an article about Caroline getting her lips enlarged. The magazine drags blondie into the story by her fake hair extensions and asks if Charlene was her example. It was January,at -how fitting- the circus, but who cares.

Hi Grimnir thanks for the German tabloid news Just checked the internet with articles in German. Seems that the media have really changed the tone. It turned negative and I don't have the impression that this will change soon or at all. www.promis-inside.de/2011/05/albert-charlene-traumhochzeit-mit-wenig-hochadel-in-monaco/the article basicly says: - the only royals who will attend are the Swedish - the Windsors obviously won't send anyone because they are still upset for CW & Al arriving late for the Queen's dinner - the two don't look like lovebirds and Charlene often looks sad - ! more and more people started to search for rumors about CW & Al ! So there are journalists who start to look beyond the surface ;D Even BEFORE the wedding took place. I still say call it off!!! BILD repeated ZDF-interview news.

One could almost feel sorry for them: first the tabloids write them up and dumbo and bimbo believe that crap, get engaged and the nearer the wedding the tabloids suddenly discover that somewhere back in the past the were considering themselves journalists and start telling a bit more reality related. And now it's pretty much too late to cancel with all the money they have spent already.

Yes, but if they do cancel, the tabloids will have a field day with the story and sell more magazines than the wedding will! And even if Albert has spent a ton of money so far - it's not as much as he's going to spend being married to this woman --- and let's not forget how much the divorce will cost!

I know, but the divorce is his bill entirely and they can limit on what he is getting due to their underperformance. The good thing about him being a weak prince with a weak government is that he can't make the demands his father could. So there is at least some good in all that bad.

www.vox.de/video/index/videos/farbwelt/p/bl//page_id/24188/seite/59/playlist/139/headline//It's in German. The usual bla-bla. Sad eyes of Charlene because of problems with wedding organisation, e.g. strike of hotel employees, and their faux-pas of being half an hour late at the reception in England. That hardly any royals have answered yet to the invitation. True? Once more it is said, they do not look in love. I guess it seems to be a general perception "not in love". That's probably why they seem glued together lately and why they give interviews and why now they seem so eager to have children. I bet by the time the Pope comes to MC next year there is a child to be baptized. They have to show off how in love they are!

geez i got the feeling the only real interest was in Germany, all the others were paid for by the palace flunkie monkies. well well well, when they've lost German, it's really all over IMO I think so too Countess. Here's a little snipet that was in the Chicago Sun times. Now, the date of the article was May 17, 2011 - before the ZDF interview was published, Charlene's Monaco Matin interview and Albert and Charlene's amfAR publicity stunt. I think the info that Micheal Sneed got is true - because we saw last week Albert and Charlene go on a publicity road show to receive more attention. Actually, it stated on May 12, when the palace released all the new wedding info and hardly anyone covered it. Albert is really childish; he doesn't see this wedding as a ceremonial beginning of a marriage, but as a big publicity seeking party.
Chicago Sun-Times May 17, 2011 Tuesday by Michael Sneed
Wedding woes . . .
Sneed hears Prince Albert of Monaco, who is finally getting married this summer to a commoner from South Africa, has been nonplussed by the lack of publicity his hitching is getting in comparison to the marriage of England's Prince William and Kate Middleton, who are still honeymooning in Seychelles.
(Albert, the son of the late actress Grace Kelly, did attend the Brit nuptials.)

they are desperate and getting more desperate every day. People are not even talking about it, unless they are remotely involved...and even then it sounds more like they are talking about a nuisance and not sth they are excited about...people really have other thoughts on their mind at this time of the year. Albert would have known , if he had spent some time in his country and thought about someone else then himself for once in his life...

Is he really that STUPID that he cannot understand why the lack of excitement? Argh! On the other hand, if he realizes this mockery of a wedding is bad business, he may pull the plug...
