I think it's shameful how Monaco uses its prominent entities - Oceanographic Museum and now it U.S. Embassy) to promote this trashy wedding. The country needs to be separating this wedding from everything Monaco instead they are doing the opposite.
I knew it, I knew! I predicted that the palace/Albert and Charlene wee going to buy up their own souvenirs (and then give them out as gifts) so they can say that they sold out. Well, it seems that the Monaco's ambassador to the U.S. gave out booklets of the stamps to the 300 guests. Yesterday, I posted in this post a Monaco Hebdo article bragging how fast the stamps sold out. Read article in here in French

Reception of the Embassy of Monaco in Washington on the theme of Royal Wedding
July 20, 2011
July 7, Mr. Gilles Noghes, Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco to the United States and Mrs., welcomed nearly 300 people at a reception given in Washington to celebrate the anniversary of the accession to the throne of the SAS Sovereign Prince. This celebration took place in the Grand Salon of the Metropolitan Club, decorated for the occasion in the colors of Monaco, U.S. and South Africa.
Among the participants were representatives from the White House, the Administration, Congress, the Diplomatic Corps, the City Council of Washington, the economic and financial, cultural and scientific circles and advocacy organizations of environment and members of the Consular Corps of Monaco in the U.S. who all took the opportunity to express their wishes of happiness warmest for the Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene.
During his address, HE Mr. Gilles Noghes, who had placed at his side the Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of South Africa, did not fail to recall the following quote from the poem "The Road Not Taken" (" The road not followed "in 1915) of American poet Robert Frost that HSH the Sovereign Prince has used in his speech during the dinner on July 2, on the terraces of the Monte Carlo.
The guests were able to follow the most beautiful moments of the Royal Wedding on the big screen and hear the song "Celebration" by Paul McCartney who opened the musical program of religious ceremony, performed by Ellen Sisson, soprano. In taking leave, the guests were surprised to receive a booklet of stamps issued July 1 by I'OETP LLAASS bearing the likeness of the Prince and Princess of Monaco.
