Here's a press release from the palce statting that tomorrow Albert will be in Arle, France.
Palace, May 11, 2011
HSH Prince to Arles Thursday, May 12
HSH Prince will visit the mayor of Arles to meet with organizers of the 27th Congress of European traditions and fires of St. John to be held on 14 and 15 May 2011.
The Sovereign will be hosted by Mr. Hugh Bousigs, Prefect of the Gard, Mr Peter Castoldi, Sub-prefect of Arles, Michel Vauzelle, deputy of the Bouches du Rhone, Schiavetti Hervé, Mayor of Arles, and M. Jack Gerard, Vice-Chairman General of the var and Mayor of Saint-Cannat.
He will attend the arrival of Saint-Cannat runners who will carry the Flame to light the lantern Canigou Maintenance Provençal traditions and fires of St. John.
The Sovereign then visit the exhibition on St. John.
In the afternoon, the Prince will also visit the Musée de l'Arles Antique.
In continuation of a very ancient custom to celebrate the summer solstice, the Church has set June 24 birth of John the Baptist, biblical character central herald of the Messiah, whose testimony was largely in the light and the Holy Spirit. Thus, the longest day of the year is marked by lighting bonfires, which aims to extend the glare of the sun shining into the heart of the night. In Christianity, it emphasizes Christ's victory over darkness-light.
In Monaco, the festival spread, each year, over two days and two quarters: 23 June in Monaco-Ville and June 24 at Mills Area.

Maybe Albert sees some daylight in the middle of the night there?

May be there is a "glimmer" of hope that Albert will see the light about this marriage and call it off. Then may be to save face, Andrea or Charlotte will get married. I think Pierre is not quite ready.

"the hypocrisy is blinding....the man didn't go to church on easter HELLO!!!!! makes me sick JMO" countess I understand you 200% But maybe he was too much afraid to attend the Easter mess and didn't want to be told what he and Monaco miss: light! hope! faith! a new start ... because he already knows it deep down inside but is too much afraid to act and turn the tables. When I attended the Easter mess I thought if Albert is told about the meaning of Easter he must feel what is wrong and what is right. So ... he was able to avoid Easter mess in Monaco but was invited to the traditions and fires of St. John... ;D That's Karma Let's hope that there is hope... He seems to be very stressed. The only way to get rid of stress is to be in line with himself IMO. Albert seems to be far away from himself and that creates the inner tensions. Eringer wrote yesterday he might bold between now and July to avoid stress because he can't stand stress. I say ... he might bold and call off this wedding because he suddently feels this stress has a reason: the reason is the danger & nonsense of this faux tale for lifetime and Monaco. Pleeeaaase St. John .... send him a lightning! With big bang!

they never go to mass on Easter in the cathedral. the major event is the Friday procession anyways, but they do not attend those either. They don't have to go to the cathedral to pray, they have their chapel in the palace which is used regularly. Besides Albert has most of the time Pater Penzo with him.

Thanks Paca ! Interesting... Who is Pater Penzo? What kind of person is he and what means "with him"? Is he his personal priest?

Yes, Pater Penzo is the little priest you can often see with ALbert. He used to sit next to Rainier during mass to wake him up I think he will only be leaving his job, when health prevents him from continuing. He is somewhat an institution. I like him. Father Philip is the most popular of the priests though. He is the good looking one that you could see on recent pics with Caro. He speaks several languages, attends most concerts of the orchestra. Barsi tried to get rid of him and sent him away for some time, but I think the Monegasques made it clear that they wanted him back. so now he is back.

LOL maybe they care more about their priests then the Grimaldis Barsi is not popular in Monaco, so I guess it was a matter of self defense getting the most popular priest back. Besides Pere Philipe has been here much longer. He was already in the same position he is now under Sardou. He is very active with the young people too and truly interested, not just pretending like Barsi. Barsi needs Pere Philipe Blanc, but pere Philipe does not need Barsi. Personally I think with someone like Sardou this wouldn't have happened.

Why can't they tell Albert that he should call off the wedding. They all know it's a divorce waiting to happen. Has Albert ever gone to Arles for St. John's Day before? Or is he doing some sort of penance in order to have a priest marry him?

I have no sympathy for the people in Monaco because they just accepted the trash that Albert threw at the them in the name of the "new Grace."

He is not going for St Jean to Arles,he will be celebrating it here as usual with fire in front of the palace, a massdown the road and then walk to place des moulins for the dance and music thing. It will be just a week before the wedding. there is some sort of conference in Arles about how to keep the tradition going etc which he will be briefly attending

Prince Albert II was welcomed today in City Hall by the Mayor of Arles, Schiavetti Hervé, President of the Region, Member of the Bouches-du-Rhone, Michel Vauzelle, the Queen of Arles and many personalities. The Sovereign came to meet the organizers of the 27th European Congress of tradition and lights on St. John, which takes place in Arles on 13 and 14 May 2011. Before a crowded assembly he spoke of his deep commitment to our region and the close ties between Monaco and Provence. Monaco and Provence share the celebration of the feast of St. John *, the communion around these customs, symbols of brotherhood, strengthen our ties "he added.

what the heck is his hand doing in the second pic? feeling her up????OMG OH he's just so gross She gives his right hand to a woman standing next to him and looks away ... while he is in touch with the woman on the left who is looking at him and he looks at her ... obviously thats the directions he's going to move next. Maybe that's the way he acts with CW. She thinks she has his hand = ring and doesn't care for Albert the person =looks away ... while he already noticed that and ... is already preparing the next step: away from CW.

what the heck is his hand doing in the second pic? feeling her up????OMG OH he's just so gross He is probably overwhelmed to see an assembly of pretty non-plastic women in white dresses in front of him...he is probably just holding on to her for support while getting his weak knees sorted
