I don't see how they can be canceling a wedding when the palace is busy promoting their flagship Vulgarlene as the greatest humanitarian ever. Here's an excerpt from a Riviera Times article:
27.06.2011
Monaco: Wedding countdown, 5 days to go: Prince Albert II's bride launches herself into her charity work
The good work of a princess
Despite the fact that these are likley to be among the most stressful days of her life, princess-to-be Charlene Wittstock has not been running around frantically worrying about all the minor details for her Big Day on Saturday and has instead chosen to busy herself with her charity commitments. ... The highlight of the event came at the end of the night, when Wittstock was elected an official member of the Special Olympics International board in recognition of her commitment to the cause. ... This is only the latest act of goodwill in what is already a lengthy charitable career for Miss Wittstock, whose charity work goes back to teaching swimming and giving motivational talks in her homeland, South Africa.
In her new role as the royal representative of Monaco, this will have an ever more central role in the 33-year-old's life and she has ambitions to transform the principality's reputation as an enclave for the uber-rich by showing the world that it can be influential in the work of good causes.
Here are some photos from a place photographer who followed the great humanitarian on her trip ... notice how Vulgarene is the only one sporting a one-shoulder outfit - clearly this woman has no clue.

You are right - that lady in the yellow polka dot dress is Donna De Varona, a real gold medal American swimmer, who is on the Special Olympics board. That is how she probably got nominated on the board.
Conlene is sitting in the stands with the IOC president and his wife who might be at their wedding.

This is revolting! What LONG LIST OF charity work? And while it's nice that people volunteer to help others - they make it sound like the BE ALL AND END ALL of one's life's work. Maybe for Mother Teresa it was - but most people who work on, or for charities, either do it professionally and get paid, or are folks who do this work IN ADDITION to whatever they do for A LIVING. (Something Ms. Wittstock has no idea about!) They make it sound like as long as she has done "Charity work" and keeps doing it EVERYTHING ELSE IS OKAY! And for CW "doing charity work" simply means getting Fatso to write a check and getting some designer to DONATE a dress to her for the EVENT - then posing for photos. Period. Please - I'm seriously getting ill. AdminNote: Fixed quotes and reduced length of quoted text

hmm, she walks in with the Monegasques, not dressed to match them and then goes straight to the SA team, is right in the middle of THEM and dressed as if to match THEM. Who is she supporting? Not Monaco it seems. And she doesn't seem to realize that her own country never asked her to do that for them. But still that's where she is and seems to want to be....

Of course she prefer to be with the South African team. Presumably she understands the language slightly better. Not that they notice here.... ;D

Every step Vulgarlene took is photographed - you know that's what going to the Special Olympics is all about - the photo opp. Notice, Vulgarene is the only one with her private photographer in tow.
She's also the only one without a bra. Vulgarine, spot on.

Just to add:
Maria Shriver has filed for divorce from former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, citing "irreconcilable differences."
The couple separated in May, days before it was revealed that Schwarzenegger had fathered a child with his family's housekeeper of 20 years.

Looking through the pictures in this thread, you see 'celebrities' who have gained fame through hard work and success in some field who then use that fame to help shine a light on the Special Olympics athletes.
Then you see Charlene who will climb on the back of a disabled athlete and ride him/her to gain fame for herself. That is what irritates me the most about Albert and Charlene. They refuse to work hard, be disciplined, and sacrifice to gain success in some field. Albert cannot even stay in Monaco long enough to put in a full day's work. They have no shame in riding the success of someone else to gain fame for themselves. Albert has done it with his parents' success and Charlene is doing it with anyone she can glom on to. To walk in twice with Monaco and SA?!? She was so intent in stealing the spotlight from these athletes who have trained hard to make it to Athens. It's disgusting!

The Monaco Special Olympian won 25 medals in Athens. Of course, the local paper selected a photo of Charlene as center of attention (who only attended one day for her photo opp) instead of the winning athletes. From the Monaco MatinMonaco: full of medals in Athensby JMR Monday, July 18, 2011
The Olympic Games held in Athens for the mentally challenged have gathered 7000 athletes from 180 countries. These athletes competed in 22 disciplines. The President of the Monegasque Mireille Calmes brought back 25 medals including eight gold, five silver and 12 bronze.
During the opening ceremony at the stadium Panathinaikos, a listed building, the Monegasque delegation marched with at its head Charlene Wittstock, who soon after became Princess Charlene.

In a way, it's kind of fitting that she is the head of Monaco's Special Olympics (I mean no disrespect to these hard-working special Olympicans). It's the only way she's ever going to see an Olympic medal. She will of course take credit for theirs, sadly.
