This thread is dedicated to posting and discussing news, events and actions of H.R.H. Princess Madeleine.
Considering how 'often' we've seen her recently, there won’t be much to post and discuss.

Madeleine is not returning to Sweden for the National Day (June 6), which means the last time she had any official duties in her own country was last year (December). However, she should attend the opening of the American Swedish Historical Museum's exhibition in the USA (June 5).

Emmeline, it just hit me that your statement was actually sarcasm, oh well, I'll still keep my original post as it is.
I do not think the answer is that she has found love and can’t bear to be separated from him. Of course, she is the only one who knows the truth and I can only speculate relying on secondary sources, so the following might be wrong. I read somewhere that, allegedly, Madeleine wanted to marry Jonas Bergström despite his cheating on her, but she was forced to break off the engagement. Then there was the book about her father which, if true, shows his reaction as double standard. Consequently, it would explain why Madeleine seems to be angry at her father, maybe even blames him. It could be she just doesn’t want to deal with everything in Sweden, better start again (as much as she can start again) in someplace else. As living in the States is her free choice, there has to be more behind it than working for the World Childhood Foundation.

After breakup with Jonas Bergström and escape to New York Princess Madeleine has been very frugal with public commitments. Today she will inaugurate an exhibition of American Philadelphia. That she would participate in the Swedish National Day celebration on location at Skansen in Stockholm tomorrow was never up to date. But at the last minute, plans changed. Yesterday the palace spokeswoman confirmed Bertil Ternert suddenly Princess will return to Sweden to celebrate with the rest of the royal family. - It has always been an ambition for the whole family should be together during the National Day. She has her work in the U.S., but now we have managed to piece the the schedule and it has become practical for her to come to Sweden, "Ternert. Stayed long It is thus the first time in many years that the whole family appear together in public. "Has been criticized" According court expert Roger Lundgren, there are two main reasons for the princess's comeback on home soil. - It is extremely important for the family to show a united front in the these difficult times. It sends a clear signal to people that they stick together. Moreover, both Madeleine and Carl Philip criticized for not having committed a sufficient number of public commissions, the This shows that they listen to criticism, "he says. He also points out that Princess Madeleine is her parents very close. - It is clear that she wants to be with them when they go through a difficult time, "says Roger Lundgren. Josefin Sköld

I know, but I thought they won't bother to try to bring the whole family together. No doubt she'll be flying back to New York in no time.

Most likely the difficult times refers to media still running stories about the Queen father’s Nazi ties and the book about the King ( The reluctant monarch).

And the king's brothel visit(s) during the Atlanta olympics. Or is that mentioned in the book? Seems to have been big news in Sweden last week or so. Wonder if he bumped into Albert there?

I haven’t read the book, but I understand that, yes, it was mentioned. There were so many articles about his sex-scandal last week and I only read few and, therefore, don’t know how much his visit/s in Atlanta was/were mentioned. It seems the media is not battering him because of one particular case, but for everything he’s (allegedly) done.

Yesterday the tabloids wrote that they sent her dog from NY to Sweden by a private jet, that I noticed but I was not reading more about it. So I understand that she was already in Sweden, suddenly felt like she needs her four-legged friend with her and a private jet is hired to fly the dog to Maddy. Why didn't she just bring the dog with herself in the first place and save the taxpayers money?
