One thing for sure is that she won't win any medal. I honestly don't see how she can find the facilities in MC to properly train there. At least not for the Olympics. But then again that might not be her plan.

Ok, here's the entire Sunday Times (SA) article. "I thought I would give input on the music," she said in the TV interview. "My wedding is just a little bit bigger than most but, ja, my nerves are alright for now." Notice that she is trying to explain something about her mental health. my nerves are alright for now

But then again that might not be her plan. I forgot to provide this update, Kirsty must have thought so also, because got the hell out of Monaco. What surprised me more than Kirsty deciding to train in Monaco but her deciding to use Charlene's " let's scam Sucker Albert into thinking that you actually have a shot of going to the Olympics" coach Branny! Kirsty won 7 - SEVEN - Olympic medals using the same coach, so why in the hell would she use Charlene's coach that she used to be her mouthpiece to fool everyone that she actually had a swimming career - hence a job instead of being a gold digger? For those of you who didn't know Branny and his family are now living fat off the hog as all the others who "helped" Charlene in her quest of becoming Princess of Monaco. Kirsty tweeted this on January 31, 2012: Here's the article:
Kirsty Coventry Returning to US to Train with Kim Brackin By BRADEN KEITH JANUARY 31, 2012
According to her Twitter account, Zimbabwe swimmer Kirsty Coventry is moving back to the US to train with her former coach Kim Brackin, who is now the head coach for the women at the University of Texas.
Coventry first worked with Brackin when the swimmer was at Auburn and Brackin was an assistant coach. Coventry left Brackin to return home to Africa to continue her training some time after the 2009 World Championships (though Coventry took a bit of a break from the sport in 2010). This past summer, Coventry went to train in Monaco at the request of the former Charlene Wittstock, who is a former Olympian from South Africa with whom Coventry had become friends (before Wittstock became the Princess of Monaco). At the time, she stated that she intended to remain in Monaco until the Olympics.
While training with Brackin, Coventry earned all of her 7 Olympic medals (including the last two golds in the 200 back), and 8 World Championship medals.
The move is a low-risk one for Coventry, as she hasn’t had much in the way of success since leaving Brackin. This past summer, at the Shanghai World Championships, Coventry failed to even make a single final.

The move from Monaco and working with a medal-winning coach actually paid off for Kirsty - she won two titles. Here's the article from the Zimbabwe Herald: Kirsty wins two titles
by Collin Matiza Sports Editor 06 March 2012
KIRSTY COVENTRY — the jewel in the crown of Zimbabwean swimming — continued to fine-tune herself for the 2012 London Olympic Games when she won two events at the USA Swimming Sectionals held at College Station in Texas, United States, at the weekend.
According to reports from Texas, Coventry made her return to competitive swimming as a Longhorn with a victory in the women’s 400m freestyle event when she clocked a 4:18.20. The 28-year-old two-time Olympic champion returned the following night with a 4:42.84 to win the women’s 400m individual medley.
Coventry recently returned to Texas, her former base in the United States, for her final preparations for this year’s London Olympic Games, which are set to run from July 27 to August 12.
Before moving to Texas at the beginning of the year, Coventry had temporarily pitched her tent in the French Principality of Monaco where she was a guest of Zimbabwe-born Charlene Wittstock, now the Princess of Monaco, since September last year.
After staying in Monaco for close to four months, Coventry decided to return to Texas in the United States at the beginning of this year to reunite with the coach who helped her to win seven Olympic Games medals – American Kim Brackin.
In fact, Coventry started her final preparations for the London Games in Durban, South Africa, towards the end of January this year where she competed at Swimming South Africa’s international invitational meet.
And the sprightly Zimbabwean capped a memorable outing at this event when she was named the Best Female Performer of the Meet. This came after Coventry won four events — the women’s 200m individual medley and the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke — during the two-day meet in which she also came second in the 100m freestyle.

Some people prefer earning their living and achieving things on their own instead off bludging off some fat rich guy. MC does not have any facilities for any active high profile athlete to train. Apart from avoiding to pay tax that is. In the bit about Hamilton moving to MC they stated that they would need to spend 3 months there. Normal people need to spend 6 months in the country to get the necessary paperwork, so obviously they have special rules for particular people and that for the sole purpose of drawing on their notority. I suspect the more famous you are the better the conditions.
Anyways I doubt that they will get anyone to train in MC without providing the facilities. A relatively poor country like Bulgaria is actually catering to swimmers for training camps. I have looked at some sights there and they lookk way better then anything that MC provides. For a lot less expense.

I think Charlene talked up the facilities and training in Monaco so she could take credit if the girl won medals in London which considering how she is now doing is a possibility. This girl is not stupid, saw that her swimming career was going nowhere and took off to train with her former coach. Charlene and Monaco will get no credit for Coventry's success this summer. Another failure for Monaco. IMO.

Charlene and Monaco will get no credit for Coventry's success this summer. Another failure for Monaco. IMO. I don't think Charlene actually cared about Kirsty's success. Charlene and Kirsty were competitors from different countries - Kirsty is from Zimbabwe and competed and won 7 medals as a Zimbabwean. Charlene wanted to show off and show Kirsty that although she never won any Olympic medals that she has won in the end. Charlene wanted to show off her new wealth, privilege and title to Kirsty. Charlene even invited Kirsty to at least one event for the Special Olympics where Charlene was the guest of honor. Haven't you guys noticed that all the swimmers Charlene are inviting to events that she attend are top non-South African swimmers (Franziska van Almsick, Sophie Edington, Kirsty Coventry) who have won Olympic medals. Charlene gets off having the Olympian medalists Franziska van Almsick suck up to her - almost groveling at her feet. None of these women were friends with Charlene until she hooked up with Albert. To make herself feel important and superior, Charlene loves an audience of ass-kissers - especially swimmers who really were at the top of their game - which Charlene wasn't.

An example just how little Charlene cares about anything but her own promotion - anyone heard her mentioned anything about this year's Midmar mile? NOTHING. Charlene's swim (which was work) on behalf of Special Olympics at the Midmar Mile was part of her promotion to gain a seat on the Special Olympics Board of Directors and also to become one of their Ambassadors. Charlene did her little part for the swim then spent the rest of the time promoting herself. Charlene has NEVER swam Midmar Mile before and probably never will UNLESS she wants to promote herself for something again.
Notice how she dropped Born Free Wildlife Foundation, which she was a patron - they served her need of stating that she was actually involved in some charity and also her scam of convincing Albert how much she cared for animals.
She didn't attend the last two Ladies Lunch events, but now she's hosting an event in the palace to show off and raise funds - to benefit HER FOUNDATION.
Charlene only cares about one person and one thing - herself - and promoting herself.

All this is very interesting and makes sense in regard to Kirsty!
Seems like CW just uses things for what she considers her personal gain then moves on. Fast.....

KIRSTY COVENTRY — the jewel in the crown of Zimbabwean swimming — [/quote]
I don't know if the writer meant this statement as a bit of a slap to CW, but I find it most amusing - "the crown jewel of Zimbabwean swimming". CW can't even be considered a "jewel" in anybody's crown! ;D ;D ;D ;D
This woman is so horrible I can barely stand to read anything about her any longer.

Considering that trashy was born in Zimbabwe and swam for SA, I think it was meant to rub it in that trashy was never big in swimming in anyones caountry. they do't even bother to mention her swimming. SHe has not been married a year, an already people don't bother with her swimming, which she stopped many years ago. With Grace it was always mentioned that she ended her career for MC. Trashy did nothing of the kind and since she never made it to the very top, like Grace, they don't bother talking about it. If Grace would have been just an actress and no Oscar, they would not have refered to her as the Hollywood star princess either.

Isn't she hosting the SA team there before London? That will be interesting! Weren't they thinking of doing a sports training center there time back?

Well, shouldn't they be there by now? Or did they realize that with everything going on at the time in MC they would be too distracted? Or did they realize that there is only one pool for training and that one is also used by ASM and the public, so they wouldn't get enough training hours to properly perform?

The news article stated they will be there in the beginning of June. I don't see how the SA Swim team can share the same facility with the Monaco Swim team. I wondered if Charlene had spoken with anyone about the swim facilities before she made the offer.

If Grace would have been just an actress and no Oscar, they would not have refered to her as the Hollywood star princess either. Let's not forget Charlene's Oscar winning performance about how much swimming meant to her and how difficult it was for her to give up a non-existent swimming career and move to Monaco for a life of complete luxury, wealth and fame. Below is an excerpt from Charlene's Award winning Tatler interview for Best Performance by a Gold Digger ( and Albert should have gotten an award for the Biggest Jackass for still marrying this woman since any fool could see how much of a sucker he really was for falling for this act). Charlene's direct quotes are in green since it is so SICKENING to me that this woman got away with these blatantly lies.
Charlene and her prince did their best to keep their fledging relationship quiet. "In the early stages of my relationship, I had no intention of moving from South Africa. Swimming was my only goal," she says. On 13 April 2007 Wittstock became South Africa's 50-metre women's backstroke champion, completing the race in 30.16 seconds. As the gossip about her relationship with Prince Albert started to go into overdrive, she fled to a secret location in South Africa to enable her to train in peace for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. But she was plagued by injuries, including a fractured ankle and shoulder trauma, and was forced to withdraw from the sport she loved. “Giving up competitive swimming was one of the most difficult decisions I've ever had to make,” she sighs. "I was not emotionally prepared to retire or for the change of life that it entailed." Charlene will not be drawn on how the prince seduced her into moving to his homeland in 2007, but one gets the sense that Albert made it clear to her that he had found his future princess.

they are lucky that she doesn't give detailed reason why she left MC... maybe it'll be in her book! trashlene is trashlene, she always has been a "wannabe but just ain't got it" and always will be, the more people she "works" the more the truth will come out about this horrible example of a human being (much less princess)
