Charlene Wittstock + Prince Albert II.: "The feelings have grown"In the GALA interview Albert and Charlene are talking openly like never before about a lot of emotions and the countdown to the wedding. Just two more weeks... 4000 guests in Monaco and millions of TV viewers around the world will be watching when Prince Albert, 53 and Charlene Wittstock, 33 will marry in an open air ceremony. Jean Michel Jarre has composed a musical show, Alain Ducasse creates the wedding menu, the exclusive Mont Blanc pen for signing the marriage certificate is ready, the red carpet is being woven by hand in Thailand and the presidential suite at the exclusive "The Oyster Box Hotel" in Durban, South Africa is prepared for the honeymoon. A great program expects the two main characters until the beginning of July! But they seem remarkably relaxed during the interview with GALA at the Princely Palace. Prince Albert, when did you realize that Charlene is the woman of your life? Prince Albert: We've felt attracted to each other since our first meeting. Back then we spent a wonderful evening together, very cheerful and full of laughter. We talked a lot. Also about sports, of course, but mainly about life in general. Then over a period of five years we lost sight of each other a little bit - each one of us had their obligations. But then, when we had contact again back in 2005, I said to her: "Let's try it, let's go a little bit of our way together and we'll see where the road leads us." From this point on things really began to develop. The feelings have grown. Ms. Wittstock, the life of a princess has many privileges but it's also associated with many duties. Do the Princesses Caroline and Stéphanie support you with help and advice? Charlene Wittstock: Both have given me wonderful support, especially in the days when I still knew very few people here. They were both always there for me right from the beginning. Even the younger part of the family has received you very warmly ... Charlene Wittstock: These are all wonderful children. Most are already young adults. They are adventurous, creative, involved particularly in environmental protection - just like the prince. Charlotte is an equestrian, Pauline already a young elite athlete. This is a talented family. How has your family who lives in South Africa reacted to the wedding message? Charlene Wittstock: That was very amusing. At first I had my father on the phone. He congratulated me and then handed the phone to my mother. She was thrilled, but also concerned and asked immediately: "But what will you wear?" I calmed her and told her that we still had a little bit of time until the wedding. But I had to promise her that I tell her the exact date in time. After all she has to find someone who'll look after the animals. My mother is truly my best friend - very down to earth and warm hearted. You just have to love her!

Am I mistaken or does this version of the engagement "story" not jive with what was previously reported:

Oh, Daddy Wittstock congratulated her? I thought he was very busy watching the game and didn't give a damn about the engagement. Oh and that about the mother...please...

I love how she refers to the trio as lovely CHILDREN! Last time I looked they were about her age. It was shrewd of CW to say how much Caroline and Stephanie helped her so that if they don't from here on in she can claim they are jealous. Just my take on the situation.
She promised she would tell her Mother the exact date and time? Gee what a considerate daughter to clue your Mother in on the day and time you are getting married. I know this question is redundant but does this woman get how she sounds when she says stuff like this?

At least he is saying the truth here except he didn't say that to WC but to his "advisers" who reminded him of WC and told him that he should try to reconnect and invite her so to distract media from all the illegitimate children mess and to show himself as a serious sovereign. In his latest interview poor guy couldn't even lie that he had pinched himself (at least once), for finding such a jewel of a woman and the "love of his life". Poor Charlene, she was so desperate for some kind of "love declaration", that she started pinching him herself! Luckily for them Stahl still has a two weeks to come up with another interview where Albert is going to finally say that he can't be happier for getting married to love of his life. Lets see, who else could interview them...maybe Al Jazeera. ;D

RP, please read the interview from the author of the new book about Charlene and Albert's love story that I just posted in that thread. The author basically states this si what the media and most people (well sane people) thought because it was SO DIFFERENT than how Albert normally conducted his relationships with women.. Exactly! and although Trashlene will get the fame and riches she schemed for, she will never get the love. Although I find this woman to be nothing but a gold digging pathological lying con artist, I really feel that she would much prefer that Albert love her.

I am sure she would, but not because she loves him or for any other reason that normal woman who is in love with her man would have. She would prefer that Albert loves her just so she could rub it in everyone's face, be more arrogant and feel superior to others. What really eats her inside out is the fact that she knows that people pity her and laugh behind her back. She won the title, but she didn't win love and respect...not form Albert not from Monegasques. That's why there are all those "stories" in newspapers about how loved she is in Monaco...and beyond.

I think you're right, except I don't think she is the one that really cares, as much as Albert understands how fraudulent they look, and has finally realized that in this day and age a marriage of convenience to an ignorant gold digger is not too popular. RP, I love the post above. ;D I can't wait to see Charlene speak Arabic. ;D
