Eringer has had a troll on the board posting that all those who criticize CW are jealous and telling lies. I saw the post on FINA and I think the poster was actually challenging the troll to go look. May be I miss read it. Please read my above - all the information is there. I posted all the information you need to know - including FINA records, Swimming SA records, newspaper articles, and Olympics records to show beyond any doubt that Charlene Lynette Wittsotck did NOT qualify for the Beijing Olympics. I even posted on Eringer's Q&A a query for a google search that will take you to the post above (you cannot post full links to Eringer's blog). What more information do you want? "Did Charlene Wittstock really qualified for the Beijiing 2008 Olympics" royalopinions.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=opinion&thread=32&page=1#2765I know but we need to get it onto Eringer (I don't think you can do links on his Q & A) The troll is a pesky one.

I just found out my child's new swim coach is a former competitive South African swimmer... I'm so tempted to find out if they know anything about Charlene.. For now I just don't know them well enough to ask. Well, being shy about those things doesn't help (I would love to be able to dish more, just have to settle for reading until I build up more nerve)... Keep at it girls, I have so much fun reading every tidbit you put on here!

This is what wikipedia says about Charlene's swimming career:
--------------------------- Charlene was a member of the South African women's 4×100 m medley team at the 2000 Summer Olympics, which finished fifth. She finished sixth at the 2002 FINA Short Course World Championships for the 200 m breaststroke. She left her Durban-based team (the Seagulls) to join the Tuks Swimming Club at the High Performance Centre at the University of Pretoria.[10] She was never enrolled for any academic courses at the University of Pretoria and therefore never graduated from the University; the Club sponsored her by providing her with free access to their pools, free coaching, accommodations, and gymnasium access.
She decided to leave Pretoria in January 2005 and returned to Durban; she then went to the north coast of KwaZulu-Natal, where she joined a former Tuks swimming coach, Brannislav Ivkovic. On 13 April 2007 Charlene regained her title as South Africa’s 50 m women’s backstroke champion when she completed the 50 m backstroke final at the Telkom SA National Aquatic Championships in 30:16 seconds, to finish third behind Australia’s Sophie Edington and Brazil’s Fabíola Molina.
She has won several national titles over the years. She planned to compete in the 2008 Summer Olympics in China, which she said would be her swansong, but she did not qualify.[11] Previously she had been out of competitive swimming for 18 months with a shoulder injury. Charlene said she would be swimming in Europe in the near future, hoping to better her times. "I have a year left of competitive swimming, and I just want to be the best I can be in that time. After that I want to get involved in charity work, and development work with athletes' commissions."[11] She has recently commented that her swimming days are behind her, enabling her to concentrate on her future role as Princess of Monaco.
----------------------------
All of this is true? So, she never won a medal? Sugar loonies keep saying she won medals (as in various medals) when she never won not even one? And she was in the Olympic only in 2000 Olympics Summer Games, and she came 5th with her group, that is, not by herself? And she changed constantly of teams?
And that is their soo acomplished olimpian star???!!

I do not understand. In this thread it says there was a shoulder injury that prevented Charlene from swimming but in the Vogue article it says it is an "ankle fracture"?? Which is it? Another lie? I do not believe she is telling the truth at all about her career. Here is the Vogue article. Charlene looks very strange: www.vogue.com/magazine/article/fit-for-a-princess-charlene-wittstock/

I do not believe she is telling the truth at all about her career. Here is the Vogue article. Charlene looks very strange: www.vogue.com/magazine/article/fit-for-a-princess-charlene-wittstock/True, Charlene has stated multiple reasons for giving up her supposedly swimming career including a shoulder injury to some and an ankle injury to others. It's hard to keep track of lies as opposed to the truth. Lying is a trademark of Charlene. However, those who only judge her by drooling over photos of her expensive clothing, jewelry and new plastic face know nothing or do not care about what actually comes out of her mouth. Really after reading all of her dozens of interviews, Charlene is what I would classified as a pathological liar. We have discussed claims that she made in the Vogue interview that you posted here in this thread: Charlene's Vogue Interview & Photos - July 2011Also, Charlene's bio posted on the palace website which states that she qualified for the Beijing Olympics is another big fat lie. See this post in this thread.
