Maybe we could centralize all media/press reactions in this thread? Monaco's Prince Albert marries in royal pompMONACO (Reuters) - Monaco's sovereign ruler Prince Albert wed South African Charlene Wittstock on Saturday in an opulent ceremony attended by European royalty and the international elite, fanning hopes for a new era of glamour. The 53-year-old married Wittstock, 33, in the courtyard of his palace at the foot of a marble double staircase lined with white flowers. The long-awaited nuptials are the first of a ruling prince in Monaco since the prince's father, Prince Rainier III, married the Hollywood star Grace Kelly in 1956, and comes two months after Britain's wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton. Albert winked at his bride, who smiled shyly, as they sat on red velvet chairs holding hands, while the voice of a South African singer filled the courtyard. The long white train of Wittstock's Giorgio Armani duchess satin gown encrusted with thousands of tiny crystals flowed over the red carpet. The groom wore the white dress uniform of Monaco's Carabinieri royal guard. Read more: news.yahoo.com/thousands-expected-wedding-monaco-prince-104206095.html

;D ;D ;D Bild comparing Charlene's and Kate Moss' wedding www.bild.de/unterhaltung/royals/fuerst-albert-2/hochzeiten-im-vergleich-18655032.bild.html(What happened to Malte Biss - Charlenes friend???) Sorry - I have no time to translate the entire article. It basicly says that Kate's wedding was hot and rocked while Charlenes wedding was very formal and somehow rediculous. Sehr schmutzig, also gut. The Wedding night: Albert & Charlene: put their clothes on a chair, while Charlene is having a bath Albert is dimming the lights and puts on a CD from Barry White. With dimmed light Charlene looks a little more like Grace, Alberts mother. Rather nobody wishes to be a fly on that wall that night. Wedding night of Kate & Jamie: very dirty - that means good • Schmetterlinge im Bauch Charlene & Albert: Die Fotos sagen: vier Aufgespießte hinter Glas. Kate & Jamie: Die Fotos sagen: 100 000 Millionen Butterflies in stomach? Kate & Jamie: Als Jamie Hince davon hörte, aß er Kates Salatvorrat The couple and the EHEC crisis Albert & Charlene: Albert didn't care people talking about EHEC-crisis because he always heared them say "Ehe-Krise", which means marriage-crisis. Kate & Jamie: When Jamie Hince heared about EHEC he eat all of Kate's salat.• Hochzeitsmusik Albert & Charlene: Der französische Sänger Johnny Hallyday sang ein Chanson von Edith Piaf; in dem heißt es: „Mon amour, glaubst du, dass wir uns lieben?“ Kate & Jamie: Bryan Ferry, Iggy Pop standen bereitauf. Wedding songs: Albert & Charlene: The French singer Johnny Hallyday sang a song of Edith Piaf: "Mon amour, do you think we are in love?" Kate & Jamie: Bryan Ferry, Iggy Pop - loved it!

www.news.de/medien/855198046/die-traurigste-braut-der-welt/1/The sadest bride on earthtitles news.de The sadest bride on earth The whole world talked about Pippa's backside when Kate & William got married. The tears of the bride and why Charlene was so sad is subjects of speculations after Monaco's wedding. One questions and many possible answers. by news.de redacteur Claudia Arthen (sorry - no time to translate the entire article ) It raises the question whether Charlene cried of happiness or because she is so sad. Reason enough to be sad: two new paternity tests, rumors about Charlene trying to leave Monaco after she heared about Albert cheating on her. Palace confirmed struggle between Albert and Charlene. In case of divorce Charlene will get a small apagne and Albert gets the custody for childeren - in case they will be born. A pondering bride and a des-interested Prince. No good start into marriage. Summary of news.de: "That's indeed a reason to cry - not of happiness." Paca, this short little article states everything that we PREDICTED that will happen if Albert was foolish enough to wed Charlene. Notice, NOW they are saying that Charlene is not well liked, not charismatic and not very popular. Didn't we say this! More importantly, we persistently stated that the media was building Charlene up so that the Village Idiot of Monaco could marry her - then they wil start speaking the truth about her. We, meaning us Old Timenrs (who have been demonixzed on royal messages boards for not drinking the Great Charelne and the fairy tale love couple). I am chuckling at Charlene's boasting on all these message boards about how much the press just love her and the only people (in the world) who had anything negative to say was us (we Old Timers). Charlene has not changed since three days ago when the media was sill singing hr praises - not it is more profitable to tell the truth.
Albert de Monaco: autopsy of a messed up wedding by Helen Decommit 3 July 2011
Nothing to do, in France the wedding of Prince Albert of Monaco has not packed crowds. Do not even speculate on the degree of love, let us simply decrypt the communication errors.
Poor Albert of Monaco. Not content with a rather vague and charisma to be with a chronic stuttering, his wedding is far from having the desired impact. Monaco is a thriving business, a princely marriage is part of a sophisticated communication to attract rich tourists, so the capital. But in this case ... Although he chose a fiancée glamorous spitting image of mom, the prince of rock and communications advisers have made some mistakes. 1) Getting married in a few months of the marriage of Will and Kate, is not the best option. Inevitably, comparisons will be made. A huge crowd in front of Buckingham Palace, a few thousand before the palace. It is not at all in the same size. Not to mention a delegation of royalty provided not very satisfied by some peoples residents of the Rock. Wedding is a bit like that of a distant cousin from the provinces to which there is a courtesy. Which is probably the case for the elite, the Grimaldi is considered reached a little bling bling among European royalty. 2) The date chosen in the first weekend of going on holiday together when trustees will be filmed by the Special Envoys on the bridges of highways and traffic jams on the A7 motorway. 3) A lovely bride so ... But not well known. And a little static. Spitting image of mom Grace. Pretty, yes, but not very charismatic. English course, it helps for international. But the French media, the interview is in English medium. In addition to that she has been connected by speaking it's fairly bobsleigh dream housewives under 50 years (oh sorry, it seems that it must be said digital mum now). Despite some high-profile magazine covers such as "Charlene the new star of Monaco", it attracts obviously not as much as Kate flashes, Duchess of Cambridge 4) A relationship tainted by rumors that it is not clear if it is sincere as the protagonists are not very demonstrative, or provides coverage to privacy obviously a bit chaotic future husband. The chaotic until his wedding, having almost reached Albert George Clooney in the clan of old bachelors Incas. 5) A Prince moderately glamorous. It's true that young Albert was quite cute. And that he predicted a nice media career. But since ... Physically he was a bit left to go. And mediation ...Between blunders, and hesitant statements illegitimate children, Albert was not a winner of the profile info. Despite the best efforts of his communications advisors trying to sell it, the prince goes more for a nice funny a little unbalanced as a serial lover irresistible. In addition to rumors, the communication plan princely encountered the iceberg on the news facing a tsunami four hostages - Tsonga in the semifinals of Wimbledon - the marriage of Kate Moss, so much so chic - and especially ultimate twist of the case DSK has put the spotlight on a New York court, not on the shores of the Mediterranean. Poor Albert So, yesterday stifled by an authoritarian father who left him not much light (or decision-making power), now in command of a principality whose image is still troubled by accusations of tax haven and money laundering international mafias. He is currently struggling to attract the lights on a rock in a lack of glamor. Poor Albert is theoretical of course. The Grimaldi are still sitting pretty on the war chest of Monaco Inc. For breakfast, natural son of a washerwoman, is relatively comfortable.

That shows her character most of all. And that's how the new flag ship is considered by people with substance! When I told a former fellow who studied Russian, English, German and some law, kept up her French PLUS learned Spanish only because she wanted to and after graduating made her coaching licence for fitness centres she was like Charlene Wittstock has not finished school??? Why didn't she do so in Monaco ? get at least a bachelor degree?? OMG can you imagine to have all these possibilities, she could have improved in so many fields! I would have learned another one or two languages, had lectures in so many fields, communication with so many different people - paradise! And can you imagine what one could do for the country in her position? What a great job!" My friend was really shocked!!! Nobody blames CW for her simple S.A. swimming background - but all those lazy years she considered preparation for her job just show her true nature. ... and yes, we told her...

Even though she is not "smart" - there are plenty of things she could have learned! Plenty. Of course French is the obvious thing. She didn't need to learn enough to read philosophy in French. She didn't need to know enough to read medical books and poetry. But she certainly has enough intelligence to have learned basi, elementary French conversation! She didn't need to actually even get a degree - or take a test - just go to some classes or have private tutors. Learn to play the piano - just the basics even. SOMETHING!!!

If she is really trapped, then she needs to make a trip to the US where she could claim asylum. I'm sure the US would let her stay. Steve Wynn was allowed duel citizenship and Grace kept her US passport for years so hopefully she kept her SA one and didn't give it up. But I don't think she is trapped. Eringer described her as vacant, but I don't think she is since she had years to run away - we saw her do it the first time with the yacht girls. JMO

Have today heard that the Belgians did not know that the whole family was present at the Event. Wondering how long it takes for the newspapers to jump on that... (The tax money is used again to party).
France media speaks about DSK.

Now that the whole thing is stating to tumble down... can't wait, can't wait for the firings to begin at the Palace when Fat Al returns from his honeymoon with the realization that the wedding had the opposite effect he wanted. Of course, he will not take responsibility for anything. Adieu, Mme Stahl!
