I'm sure the sugahs will start the whole "poor charlene he pulled the wool over her eyes" ... "oh poor, poor charlene!!!" ... but they won't come any far with it. Charlene knew it, like she knew about the jacht girls. But she didn't leave like a woman with SOME self-esteem who wants a real relationship and no money would have done SUBITO. The fact that she didn't and even decided to undergo the ceremonies proves what a GOLD DIGGER she is. Dear sugars: that's it And yes ... we told you. You could delete what we wrote on two non-sugar Monaco forums --- but you can't delete the truth.

She gave the vogue interview AFTER l'express came out. SHe still had her chance to say no. SHe still could have pretended that she was going through with things and then said no. Even if her family forced her, albert's people forced her.....she was given a chance by the journalists from l'express to get out. They had to show her saying yes, because the entire media was watching. If she would have said no, she would have had a chance to history. Instead she chose to deny the runaway rumors and played along. now she is the best paid hooker in the known universe. way to go Albert, you have just shown that Monaco is the worlds biggest brothel. And Caroline stood by as the brothel mom. I have lost every inch of respect for Caroline for assisting. I have not seen the Spanish royals; It seems they are the only royals with a sense of morals. All other Royals, heads of states have discredited themselves for assisting at the wedding. I will make a post to the subject once I have wrapped my head around it, but it is revolting that in our age and day, when a French president votes a law against the burka because it is undignifying to women and then assists the public sale of a woman live on TV.

Couldn't have said better Paca! Agree 101% Monaco worlds biggest brothel - and they wasted 70 Mio. on that.

But Albert who is trying to hide his sex-obsession to marry. And giving Trash a princess title that represents the full historical history of Monaco?
That I do not understand.
He can have 15 children out of wedlock... Never give the culture and historical aspect away.
I also agree with what you say about Caro...

The Greek royals were MIA as well. Many of the wealthy Greek with Monaco residency were also MIA, not to mention that Aristotle's granddaughter and her husband were not in attendance at the horse show. Last year they helped sponsor it. In fairness to Caroline, she still has the heirs to the throne, and perhaps she is still holding out hope that Charlene can not get pregnant. Despite reports that Caroline was smiling and happy and that her children were smiling and happy, the only one I saw genuinely happy was Stephanie. I'm not sure what Caroline could do. IMO she's following the old saying "keep your friends close and your enemies closer". I think she spoke volumes by what she was wearing to the civil ceremony and the wedding. For Caroline, it was pretty casual. Same for Charlotte and Alexandra. JMO

There was nothing spectacular about the wedding. It was pretty plain and boring. Her dress was Armani Prive so it was not one of a kind ( He must be hoping that like Kate's dress brides will rush out to buy it?), the original red carpet expense was just silly, the flowers were not spectacular in fact her bridal bouquet was boring. She was copying Pippa's dress in the back and somewhat in the neckline. Even the other royals were dressed for a cocktail party not a wedding. It lacked all the pomp and circumstance of William and Kate's wedding mostly because they held it outside. The music choices seemed odd - Ava Maria at a wedding ( was this Grace's favorite?). Where did they spend the 70 million? I guess that leaves their failed PR campaign. They must have given most of it to the wedding planners and PR people they hired who failed. I wonder if Albert will fail to pay them?

It's usually sung right before the ceremony ends when the brides presents flowers -- sometimes her bouquet -- to the Blessed Mother.

I just find it melancholy but then perhaps it's because I think of my late Father.

I have no respect for the catholic church to have allowed this marriage to take place either. They have done all of them so much damage to so many things. This is the most disgusting thing that has ever been done to women. I really need to gather my thoughts on this to make a longer post on this. Because this wedding and those assisting it have shown how rotten our society is and that no Western politician can lecture other countries on women being circumcised, that it wrong for women to wear a burka etc. whilst they all assisted a woman selling herself to the highest bidder.

I'm sure the sugahs will start the whole "poor charlene he pulled the wool over her eyes" ... "oh poor, poor charlene!!!" Yes, they will. Maybe that's why C "tried to escape". Now she can say that they confiscated her passport and forced her to marry PA. She can say that PA told her he would do something to her or her family if she left or said something to the public. Anyway she'll at least try to look like the victim and the sugars will believe her IMO.

She does still have the heirs, and if I were in her position, I would have gone just to so I could keep an eye on Charlene's antics in the future. I do believe in keeping ones enemies close. I also agree that there is no respect for women in Monaco. I saw it myself there years ago. Not a place I'd want my daughter to be that's for sure.

I wonder if they will have children. IF she did "run away" and was coerced into returning and going through with the mechanics of the civil and religiouis ceremonies, I have to believe that part of the negotiation of her return would be to just save face and stick with it for a reasonable amount of time (in another post I guessed six months which would be a reasonable amount of time for a "legitimate annulment -- I know, the Catholic Church gives out annulments like candy at the holidy!). Hmm ...

I also agree that there is no respect for women in Monaco. I saw it myself there years ago. Not a place I'd want my daughter to be that's for sure. I disagree here. Politically she has made a huge mistake. She has weighted family loyalties against political cunning. She and her heirs are tainted. They have participated, promoted and consented with their presence Alberts decision. To me that is a clear signal that Caroline neither wants the position nor has the ability for it. People who are supposed to be loyal to her brother, who are paid to protect him, have damaged him in public. The news spread like wildfire in Monaco and a lot of people felt gratified by it. If everything was well in MC the rumour would have been spread, but people wouldn't have paid attention. But they did. It was a wake up call and it went unheard. They could have made a statement, they could have regained integrity and stability. Instead they decided that the show must go on at all cost. Albert will fall over this. He is politically the weakest prince Monaco has ever had. And the dumbest. They have just blown out 100 million (I count the money they will pay CW and the damage control PR to the wedding costs) out of the window. They promised more people would come to Monaco etc. but none of this will happen. YOu saw how many really turned up for the entire weekend. If they are lucky they had 30000 people over the weekend, but I think it might have been less. They changed the route for the car to drive because they didn't have enough crowd to line the streets. The wedding will wear of quickly and people will be demanding what has been promised. And they won't receive it. So the fall will be politically a very difficult time for Albert. Add to that the paternity tests. Plus he has a woman by his side who is disliked and who does not want to learn the language and adapt to the country. How long do you think people will put up with Albert? If Caro would have made a clear sign that she wants nothing to do with this, she would have stayed away or at least would have made Andrea stay away to protect him as an heir and make him an alternative within the family. Now the alternative is either a democracy or a change of the constitution with a new prince. And that does not necessarily need to be Andrea. They can look for a distant relative as well. But they will have to give in any case more power to the conseil National.

Hmm ... I don't think they can in this case as it was public BEFORE the wedding. And even the church reads papers. SHe had her chance to say NO on 2 occasions and chose not to. Neither did Albert. Barsi in any case needs to be relieved of his office. Sardou would not have allowed this to happen.
