So, Chris Levine is going to be Albert's best man according to this: "At a glittering party (Monday, May 9) celebrating the romance of Monaco, 200+ guests toasted the upcoming July 1 & 2 wedding of HSH Prince Albert and Miss Charlene Wittstock amid the dazzling jewels of Van Cleef & Arpels at NYC’s Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum. Event organizer and Monaco’s Consul General in New York, Hon. Maguy Maccario led the toast and introduced family members and VIPs including co-host, Princess Grace's cousin and Chairman, Princess Grace Foundation–USA (the event beneficiary) Hon. John Lehman; Prince Albert's best-man-to-be, Chris LeVine, Monaco's Ambassador to the United Nations H.E. Isabelle Picco and famed astronaut Buzz Aldrin" All that Glitters

LOL OMG they have to ask people to contact them about this wedding, unlike WillKate where they just walked around the crowds and got opinions! This is beyond pathetic.

Are they afraid of having no crowds at all? Maybe they will be offering a free of cost stay in MC or South of France in a couple of weeks when one is willing to spent some days in MC around the wedding of course and be willing to applaud and scream hurray. Funny!

My favorite part, "...if you plan to visit Monaco on your own, and attend the wedding" It really is a street circus --anyone can show up and attend the wedding. Hilarious.

Isn´t it more exciting if the couple would have been more reserved with details and have a church wedding? Something serious but at the same time with glamour. Hey, that´s really a weird wedding. I wouldn´t want this.

Plus, if there was really 200 people there, even 100, there would have been a photo of "the crowd". AND - more importantly, apparently Albert was in the States at this time - he made it to The Kentucky Derby - but not this "party" in his honor! Oh, yes - why would he go to a party honoring his pending marriage if the blushing bride to be wasn't with him? What a joke!

But then, he possibly doesn't want to be reminded of the upcoming nuptials. He has shown yet again that he does not give a damn about the wedding or the support of that people may even show.

Yeah, for Albert, the wedding is just more one event in his agenda. Nothing great. For Charlene, is her golden ticket to Money Heaven.

Isn´t it more exciting if the couple would have been more reserved with details and have a church wedding? Something serious but at the same time with glamour. Hey, that´s really a weird wedding. I wouldn´t want this. Now ... after they saw Will & Kate's wedding I'm not sure if Al & CW want that either. I mean ... Charlene want's more glamour, more publicity, more guest, more money to put in this "even" how she calls it. And Albert doesn't seem to be sure if he wants it at all. ... no wedding of the century - they are lightyears behind Will & Kate. ... economy didn't recover during the extra long engagement period - instead Monaco sufferes strikes and budget cuts, it's getting worse since the engagement (can you imagine the downfall if she really becomes Princess and will stay ) ... Monaco's image did not get better - Grace and Caroline do some damage control but ... at least no improvement thank's to CW - nobody buys Stahl's fake couple CW-campain called Monaco-image-campain ... he obviously prefers to travel without her and looks happy and relaxed when she's far away. Not even in Gstaad he wanted to be alone with her. The reason why the wedding was obvoiusly set up for (economic and image boom) might very well be the reason why he cancels it. Nothing got better ... but even worse. If Albert has a bit of common sense and not only idiots among his advisors and "inner circle" he will call off to save Monaco. And to save himself: for he might stay a lonely man but as well find a loving soul to share his life one day, or have some love affairs, or whatever - while he already is a lonely man with CW and will stay lonely forever. This job without someone backing you and sharing burdens is suicide! Last exit of this highway to hell in 40 days, 35 days, 30 days.... take it!!!

seems like I will find sth in my letterbox as well they are extending invites to residents of adjoining towns...not for the religious ceremony or the dinner though I think they must have gotten the date wrong as they give April 30th for the eagles concert...ah those dates with this wedding... had to laugh at the expression of eclosion d'une nouvelle princesse, as I read explosion instead wishful thinking apparently there has been a casting for the children to walk in with the bride. Well she won't be getting mine...they'd be way too cute and drawing all attention away from the bride www.monacomatin.mc/article/cote-dazur/mariage-albert-et-charlene-le-compte-a-rebours-est-lance it will open a new chapter in the life of the princely family....and it might just be the last

Margarita todays online Monaco matin has in their news section 3 articles on the wedding, 2 of them I have linked. there are no other news articles publicly available to those who don't pay for the edition. They are clearly aware that the local public is disinterested. they hardly even get feedback on their articles. I think they are now really trying to motivate people to go there because they are well aware that monegasques and residents on their own won't do. Besides to them holidays start now on Thursday, so those who will go away for Grand Prix will probably take off to vacation early. Also remember that Wednesdays there is no school in the afternoon and in France not at all. Those who work in Monaco have Friday off, so with an extra vacation day or 2, they can leave as of Tuesday evening. There are many people from Portugal and Maghreb who always, rich or poor, visit family in summer. this won't change their habits. Also mentality wise people will prefer, if they watch, to sit with a few friends in a bar, have drinks and watch from there, rather then standing at a street corner during summer heat. Most like they will be at the beach though....which is where I'll be if I'm not busy packing.
with intermediation I meant that someone else does the speaking for her. she doesn't talk directly to say what she wants. In French because she can't and I guess in English because she doesn't want to...

LOL !!! "eclosion d'une nouvelle princesse, as I read explosion instead" Paca don't you think the plastic face and virtual fassade of CW is rather likely to implode And here are the morning news: - Earthquake in the Pacific Ocean - floods in South Europe "implosion of the Princess-to-be" in Monaco ... sounds realistic to me.
