The Monaco Consulate in New York has released a press release about the PGA. It seems that they are trying to garner press for the l;aughing stock couple by billing this as: The 29th Annual Princess Grace Awards Gala will take place in the presence of TSH The Prince and The Princess of Monaco, marking their first U.S. visit since their July wedding. Do these people really believe that the american media actually cares about Albert and Charlene. OH I forget, the consulate stated in an interview to the Monaco Hebdo that the american media talks about Monaco all the time. What legitimate American journalist will interview Charlene with the condition that the questions be pre-submitted? At least the consulate is not totally stupid, she realized that she will attract more positive attention with a photo of Julie Andrews on the press release than the non-dynamic laughing stock couple Albert and Charlene.
Princess Grace Foundation-USA Hosts 29th Annual PRINCESS GRACE AWARDS GALA

The 29th Annual Princess Grace Awards Gala will take place in the presence of TSH The Prince and The Princess of Monaco, marking their first U.S. visit since their July wedding. The evening will be chaired by Dr. Jon Turk (PGF-USA Trustee) and Carolyn Gusoff Turk. This year’s Awards Gala will be highlighted by the unveiling of a unique tribute to Princess Grace by Montblanc. There are articles about Mont Blanc showcasing the Princess Grace Collection. Here's one from Fashion blog WWD and not how they also are stating that this is Albert and Charlene' first official trip to the U.S. since their wedding. Clearly, Albert and the Con artist Narcissist are trying to attract attention to themselves - are they really deluded to think that Americans care? really? Seriously? They haven't figured it out yet that they are the antithesis to William and Kate?
Montblanc to Show Princess Grace Line By DAVID LIPKE September 26, 2011
Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco will make their first official visit to the U.S. as a royal couple for the Princess Grace Foundation-USA’s 29th annual awards gala on Nov. 1 in New York, WWD has learned. The event will honor actress Julie Andrews and take place at Cipriani 42nd Street.
Montblanc has created a limited edition Princesse Grace de Monaco collection that will be showcased at the black-tie gala. The range, which includes writing instruments, fine jewelry and watches, will be sold in Montblanc boutiques beginning in November. The pens will also be wholesaled to select retail accounts.
Montblanc is donating $1 million to the Princess Grace Foundation-USA as part of the affiliation with the organization and the royal family of Monaco.
“We tried to really capture all of the elements of her personality, her style, her elegance and her timelessness in each piece we created,” said Lutz Bethge, chief executive officer of Montblanc, of the Princesse Grace de Monaco designs.
The Grace de Monaco pink rose, created in 1956 in honor of Grace Kelly’s marriage to Prince Rainier III, is a recurring motif in the line. Gemstones used for the collection include petal-cut diamonds, pink sapphires and topazes.
Prices start at $690 for a ballpoint pen and go up to $226,100 for a diamond and sapphire necklace, with earrings and bracelets priced at $73,200 and $79,800, respectively.
Montblanc unveiled the collection at a royal gala in Monaco on Sept. 8, attended by Prince Albert, Princess Charlene, Princess Caroline of Hanover, and numerous celebrities. The event included a performance of an original work by Robert Wilson that paid tribute to the life of Princess Grace. The piece was performed by Rufus Wainwright, Martha Wainwright, prima ballerina Gillian Murphy and opera stars Bryn Terfel, Diana Damrau and Shenyang.
Montblanc, a unit of Compagnie Financière Richemont SA, has formed ties to the principality of Monaco since 2007 when it created the Prince Rainier III fountain pen, which also benefited the Fondation Princesse Grace in Monaco. When Prince Albert married Princess Charlene in July, Montblanc created a one-of-a-kind gift for the royal couple: a solid white gold writing instrument adorned with 161 rubies and 128 diamonds that the duo used to sign their wedding contract.
The Princess Grace Foundation-USA supports emerging artists in theater, dance and film and has awarded more than 700 scholarships, apprenticeships and fellowships worth more than $8.5 million since its founding 29 years ago by the late Prince Rainier III in honor of his wife. Sponsors for the Nov. 1 gala include Hermès, Noelle and Dick Wolf, Lily Safra and Mattel.

Ugh, it will be so boring... Him, with his smile pretending that everything is ok. And her, with that frozen face and that empty stare... I wish Caro and her kids attend this event as well.

I think they are trying to get a bit of Kate and Will PR in their whose first trip after their wedding was to Canada and US. If they travel to a country say 5 years from now which they haven't visited together since their wedding, will they be saying that it is their first trip since their July wedding? Why do they feel the need to put the wedding in there? There is nothing about trashy being at the PGA. She was there before as the mistress in her hooker outfits. so why would anyone be more interested in her now then they were then? They only attracted Z-listers everytime she attended, so how is her wearing more bling going to make any difference?

Poor Julie Andrews! But then she's a real trooper and hopefully will be surrounded by more meaningful people during the evening. JMO

Julie Andrews deserved to have Caroline and her kids be there not Tweedledee and and dweedledumb. JMO.
