rofl rofl rofl that is so horrible. It actually makes Kates portrait look good. He is trying so hard to make this look like Grace and ends up making her look deformed. The arms are way too long in proportion with the rest of whatever is supposed to be her body. Her hair looks grey and all in all he managed to make her look old, deformed and totally hideous and ridiculous. He tried really hard to make her shoulders look small and her posture to look gracefull and succeeded in making her look like the caricature of a princess she is. What is that one armed bandit pose for? Whoever holds their arm that way? Not even to scratch yourself.... Might as well have asked Sarkos dad to make a tasteless painting of her....then again he probaly will for that art fair and she will receive it as a gift and be stuck with it.... wonder where they will hang this atrocity....

What I can't believe is that any painter worth his talent (insert grin) would actually just take the Grace portrait and insert Trampolina's head on it! Does this guy have any pride? Has he ever done anything original?

Has he ever done anything original? Well, lets see, first Charlene has spent the last 6 years trying to become Grace, 2. His portrait of Grace was loved by everyone who saw it (I'll reserve comment in this one) 3. Most of Charlene's clothes are not fashionable, classic or fit well most of the time so why not just substitute the original with a little change to keep things "simple" 4. Albert is known to be cheap so if the money wasn't all that good, it takes less time to just "paint the face" into a stylized portrait. Lastly, the Grace portrait was done in a kind of "Winterhalter", "Gainsborough" imitation and since Charlene is imitating Grace, Voila the new "Grace" portrait right down to the hair style. Personally I thought both portraits looked like a rip off of Thomas Kinkade's style - mass produced for the masses- kitch art. I think I'll stop there. JMO.

yes, kitsch...of the worst kind. At least with Grace he still seemed to be willing to make an effort and in a way it does reflect a 50s woman. But this is the 21st century and his style has not moved on. On the contrary it has gone for the worse. The world has changed so much since Graces picture and since it is the same artist at least you should see some of that in an aging artist. But here is nothing. He paints all his stuff the same way. CLouds, a certain light, same poses, more or less and the same clothes more or less. nothing specila. I bet he has the outline for women preffabricated and just fills in the details when an order is placed.

Oh my. In Charlene's portrait, that grinning orange head on top of the body reminds me of a jack o lantern. It will be easy to take this portrait down to the cellars if she doesn't stick around.

P.S. She also reminds me of Boopsy in Doonesbury.

Ah,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,haaaa..... Utterly ridiculous, like everything else in connection to this "Princess"...manufactured, phony, unoriginal, laughable...in one word LAUGHINGSTOCK! That body cold have belong to anyone, it is so generic. As for the head/face, if you compare it to my avatar picture, it is easy to see that not one feature matches original face...from teeth, lips, nose, cheekbones, lifted eyebrows to the fake hair. He even fixed her ugly ear. He could have just painted Barbie doll and put tiara on her head. ;D ;D ;D

Talk about a one-note portraitist. Are his backgrounds pre-fab?! Just add a head? No Sir William Charles Ross here, I'm afraid!

But I got thinking, and may be Charlene demanded this portrait to look like this and so he fed her ego and Albert's. May be she wanted the Disney version - Princess make believe, and people criticized Kate's portrait which I understand is fabulous when viewed in person. Someone pointed out that she stole Jackie Kennedy's wedding dress, and you know, it does look like it. Nothing original about Charlene, but then you all know that already.

Jackies dress had a 50s skirt, like Grace's dress. But other then that, yes trashy is a copy paste princess and she turned MC into a mock turtle soup of royalty....

The portrait may have one redeeming feature - it could have been recycled from an originally Jackie painting!?

Oh I don't like that portrait! Eeeeeeewwwwww Neither do I. It's more pulp fantasy like the cover of a Harlequin romance novel of yore than serious portraiture.
