Royal Opinions get a lot of questions from new members who are not as familiar with the family as some of the long-time followers. These members tend to start a new thread to ask their questions. Instead of having posters start new threads just to ask questions, I have created this thread where any member can ask a question. Of course, it is better if the member ask the question in the appropriate board and thread, but this thread is also available. A great start for asking question about a particular member is in their respected Current events.news/Info thread - which is posted at the top of each board (see the list below)
The goal is that members will answer the question if it is a quick answer or preferable direct the questioner to a particular thread where they read up on the question that they ask. Questioner should realize that some posters have been following the Grimaldis for years and some answers require a lot of background information, so it may be more appropriate to direct you to specific threads to read up on. Also, understand, some questions may be too detailed for a simple answer and again it may be more appropriate for you to browse through the various threads which are very topic specific and read up on the individuals you are interested in.
Please realize that thee is no guarantee that your question might be answered, so as you wait for a possible response please feel free to browse the different boards and threads.

I am posted this here (instead of moving, so my above post can be the first post i nthe thread)

I am going to close this thread and just start a new thread for questions that posters may have. The hope is that members will either answer the questions if it is just a quick question or preferable just direct the poster to the appropriate thread(s) or entire board that they may go and read for answers to their question. This is not to sound anti-welcoming, but I really do not wan to start the trend where someone starts a new thread each time they join and have a question to ask - or current posters just start a new thread just because it is more visible to do so.
I keep saying this and I know people are tired of hearing it, but the board will really be unmanageable and not quite user friendly if this become the trend not only for questions , but also for current members.

Sorry I could not find a thread to post this in as I am new around here. Please move it if there is a thread I was curious what special perks were given to Charlene, her family and friends were given before Charlene's wedding to Pr. Albert? I am interested in her apartment. Do we know who bought it and/or owned it previously? I have heard some say it belonged to Psse. Stephanie, others that it belonged to Pr. Albert. Also, is it true that her family stayed at Roc Agel or that her brother and his girlfriend are now living in the lap of luxury at the apartment? I do not believe they are entitled to any of this. I would like to know what other things they are being given that they are not entitled to?? Thanks and sorry for my bad English Welcome ReadySalted. There has been a lot of information posted about Charlene and her family that answers all of your question, unfortunately, many of us have been banged around on several boars so there is no one place where you can read up on all this information. Royal Opinions started in April 2011, so we have posted information since then and a little of the background info. Eventually, I will post more of the background info, but for the time being read up in this thread about Charlene's family status in Monaco: Charlene's Family: Info, Photos, Interviews

YES her family has moved in and being supported in a style they've quickly become accostomed. yes FATAL is paying for the whole blood sucking clan of woodstocks to live in luxury. welcome to the forum

Thank you very much for your answer countess! Are her parents living in Monaco currently? Her brother is living in an apartment in Monaco, correct? Is this the apartment Charlene was living in?

i believe her mother is living at roc agel (or she was before the wedding) and her brothers are both in moronaco i believe>>> living with out a job, just like their concubine for a sister. The latest information given by certain mouthpiece that Charlene uses in the press is that Lynette Wittatock lives in a 5-bedroom home in La Turbie - which is near Monaco. Prior to that, it was reported that she was living at Roc Agel. Gareth lives in an apartment near the palace with his girlfriend. In her Tatler interview, Charlene herself stated that she first lived in a small apartment in Monaco, but she did not state how she eventually upgraded to a MUCH larger apartment. Charlene only tells what she believes make her look more sympathetic, less gold-digger and more serene. Her former South African swim mates bragged about Charlene putting them up during the Mare Nostrum in her large luxurious apartment. Again, this woman is a pathological lying gold digging who clearly believes that everyone is as stupid as her Sucker Prince hubby.

Thank you very much for answering all my questions. Just one more if you do not mind Is the apartment that Charlene lived in the same one that she bragged of Albert taking her to for their date very early in the beginning? Or maybe a different one? I know that Albert likes to spend other women so I think he may have other apartments for this?? Thank you for answering my questions. I am just very interested in what these people are getting. They are freeloaders, I think. I am also very interested in the lies it appears Albert has been telling and Charlene has definitely been telling. I wonder if they could have lied to each other? I think maybe this is not the first time Albert has taken women back to his apartment and that he may have several for this purpose. Thank you for listening to my theories

I have another question, that it suddenly came to mind. Everybody claims that Monaco is tax heaven and that monegasques don't pay taxes. Is that totally true? I remember Albert said in a Larry King interview that it wasn't 100% accurate, but i don't remember too much. So, monegasque do or do not pay taxes?

no i don't think they do, but there are only a few thousand real citizens, unless you are born there or bribe someone for citizenship (that's how Fatals crookied cronies do it) everyone else has to pay taxes.
that's why when FaTal "gives" citizenship to crooks and mafia to launder $ or hide it, it's hard to prove. eringer suggests the banks are not insured, if you have your money in a moronaco bank, FatAl or a flying monkey flunkie can TAKE it with no recourse. i've read many stories suggesting a LOT of FatAls fortune is built on confiscated assets Jews had to surrender to the nazi during WWII and a LOT of nazi's kept their money there for safekeeping. DISGUSTING
i'm interested if the way i understand how it works is correct, how many Monégasques in the "kingdom" LOL

Business pay taxes and others in Monaco pay sale taxes, VAT - Values added Taxes. French citizens have to pay tax to France and US citizens to the US. And then there is tax habitation. It is a bit bizarre as not everyone seems to have to pay it. We received a bill for it just as we were moving, so we didn't bother paying it and no one ever complained...Also there seem to be some who never receive a bill. Then there is also the TV thing. YOu are not allowed to have a satellite dish on your balcony. So in some buildings they provide TV via a satellite on their roof for free or you have to pay the government. You can chose then, depending on how much you are willing to pay, which channel you will be able to see. Basic French channels are free of charge. At least while I was living there. Not sure how things have changed since internet has become so important, but since the MC Telecom is lagging behind, I suspect that not much has changed.

Most of them are branches of international banks anyways. BUt banks do offer to hide your money in an MC account. At least they used to. They did that in Luxembourg etc too. There are on occasion employees with their hands in the till for various reasons. But insurance has always covered everything. Same with the robberies in broad daylight which have never been solved...

I remember Albert said in a Larry King interview that it wasn't 100% accurate, but i don't remember too much. So, monegasque do or do not pay taxes? Apart from VAT they don't. Some people claim that they don't pay rent either, but I don't think it is true. They do have protected living though where they pay below market price and they can buy below market value as well, but have to sell to the government if they want to sell. They also receive help with rent on top of that. And then of course you have the likes of the Biancheris who self serve on the millions of the Grimaldi forum to renovate, built etc their private villas. Others are doing the same. Also, every job a Monegasques wants he can claim. Qualified or not. If a monegasques applies for a job, you have to come up with a really good excuse to not hire him.
