HSH Prince Albert II have participated in the opening session of the Arctic Futures Symposium 2011, jointly organised on 12 October by the International Polar Foundation and His own Prince Albert II Foundation at the Royal Library of Belgium in Brussels
The Sovereign have been greet by Alain Hubert, President of the International Polar Foundation, before meeting with Maria Damanaki, European Commissioner for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
This event have also included the participation of such personalities as Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, President of Iceland, Kim Jorgensen, Under-Secretary for European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Inuuteq Holm Olsen, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greenland, and Michel Rocard, Ambassador for the Polar Regions, former Prime Minister.
