I think what really is appalling is how she said it hadn't been done in a long time and needed a FEMININE TOUCH. I'm willing to bet Rainier did absolutely nothing to the place. I bet it was left exactly as Grace had left it "it hadn't been done in a long time". She has now insulted Grace by saying it needed something feminine. What an ass. JMO

The probably most expensive red carpet is being cut and flown off. Can someone please explain to me how does one auctions off something that is one of 300 parts? They are expecting millions from the sales of the three auctions plus the internet sales - oh, they have decided to also sale the pieces on the Internet. There is a change to whom the proceeds will go to. They are still stating that the proceeds will go to the Prince Albert II Foundation and instead of what they have always stated that the proceeds will go the future Princess Charlene Foundation, they are now saying to a charity of Charlene's choice. Perhaps they finally realized how tacky it was to be talking about a Princess Chalrene Foundation ever since the engagement - pure narcissistic trash. From Monaco Hebdo
The carpet princely takes offBy The Editors Friday, August 5, 2011
Who does not remember the sumptuous carpets of royal wedding? One that was crushed by the soles of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, followed by those of the VIP guests of the event. Designed by the team of Monaco Fashion for floors, the carpet of 300 m2 with the colors of Monaco pure New Zealand wool and red silk, hand embroidered with 500 Thais will not dust. It will soon be reduced to pieces. For a good cause. Approximately 300 pieces will be cut, autographed by the royal couple and sold at auction. The centerpieces will be sold in three cities in three stages: Frankfurt, echoing the opening of their new store. In New York for the evening of the Foundation Prince Albert II at Rockefeller Center. And to top it all in Monaco. The rest will be available through direct sales on the Internet. "But it remains to be defined, warns Sophie Girona Coron, director of development of Fashion for floors. We expect the signs of the newlyweds to finalize the details. " The dates are not yet known, but it will "fall," says Sophie Girona Coron. The money - "millions, we hope" - will be donated equally between the Foundation Prince Albert II of Monaco and one to be chosen by the Princess Charlene.

they have to keep up the pretence, it was always planned IMO to be a way to launder money, his mafia friends buy a piece of carpet and it pays off in the long run.
FatAl is a corrupt dictator, the more moronaco spirals down the more desperate and dirtier he'll get. i think everything connected with moronaco now is dirty and shady, everything he touches, he corrupts JMO there are no "clean" charities or organizations there anymore.
i can't imagine any sugah loonies having any money to buy a piece, lawd knows they probably spend it all on crack.
so who are the bidders? museums ROFL that's funny, what kind of freaks buy a piece of carpet....for what???>>> frame it and say FatAll and trashlene walked on it, NO REALLY these people live in loonie land, i can't imagine who would want this or what they would do with it? it's an ugly red carpet YUCK gotta be a way to launder dirty money, just like all his other foundations.

Nothing good will come from destroying perfectly good things.
They might hear a big YES if they said that the proceeds would go to reimburse the Monegasques for giving them such an expensive wedding.

Didn't know where to put this post so I put it here. Just read book reviews of the new bio on the Duchess of Windsor. I could not help drawing parallels to Albert and Charlene. It really looks like history repeating itself except that Albert won't leave "for the woman he loves". Hey, maybe this is the perfect exit strategy. He needs to leave for a more private life because of the woman he loves. They could retire to the estate outside Paris and stay there, but of course this will never happen.

Hibou, I linked the two of the articles over on Charlene's news thread. The information in this book is eery when thinking of Charlene, but it did give me hope that she cannot procreate and that there will be an end to her someday.

Oh, there will be an end to her, kids or not. I mean, we all knew that Monaco was becoming the laughingstock of the world the day Charlene becomes Princess, but it went beyond our expectatives, and it became the laughingstock of the world days before the wedding. Charlene will have her end, trust me, with kids in the way, or not.

just putting this out there. i think one of their next "p.r." moves will be to give money/send aid to the famine crisis in somalia/east africa. it makes sense, right? because charlene is so in touch and knowledgeable about what goes on there with the little brown-skinned babies. maybe she'll even fly in for a couple hours to have her picture taken looking concerned, holding one of the starving children. sending the sugahs in a fevered pitch how she's not afraid to get her hands dirty. what a wonderful ROYAL she is!!!!! aaaah a true princess!!! every bit helps, especially in a crisis, but from two NARCISSISTS like this, to me WHATEVER they do always has an ulterior attached to it. these two have A LOT of explaining to do with the BIG MAN/WOMAN when their time comes!!! creative! [say a prayer to the starving in east africa]

;D ".....and instead of what they have always stated that the proceeds will go the future Princess Charlene Foundation...." Myadia, how else could they ever expect to fund a Princess Charlene Foundation....only by selling the carpet she walked on? ;D Hillarious and so so fitting of a Foundation named after Charlene--truely representative of Charlene's arrogance and vanity, and Albert's stupidity! I wish they had done this, it is so telling! I think Albert is really a better example of a doormat that's been trampled on....., but I guess he too has auctioned off himself and his country in the same cheap and tacky way. Really, why waste a new silk carpet they could use in the future or donate in whole for a better cause than to ask for money to further celebrate themselves? This is truely an idioctic idea, and a very arrogant one! What else would one expect from a couple that can't stop trying to promote and celabrate themselves and their fraud of a marriage and relationship, and a fraud of a woman that no one could care about if you paid them....oh wait a minute, that is exactly what they've done! ;D

The Swedish palace has announced the wonderful news this morning that Victoria and Daniel are expecting their first child in March 2012. Here's a really funny article by a blogger of a parent site that is representative of what normal sane people (those who don't judge people by how nice their clothes and jewelry are) really think of Albert and Charlene's marriage - they are pure trashy laughing stocks!
Princess Victoria of Sweden Announces Her Pregnancy
BY JOANNA AUGUST 17TH, 2011 Princess Victoria of Sweden is expecting her first child
While we are all focused on Kate Middleton’s midsection for a possible baby bump and measuring the icy distance between Monaco’s Princess Charlene and her hubby Prince Albert, another European royal went ahead and got the job done.
Princess Victoria of Sweden has announced that she is pregnant with her first child with her husband and former personal trainer, Daniel Westling.
Princess Victoria – who is giving us Ginnifer Goodwin vibes – married Daniel just last year and also attended Prince William and Duchess Kate’s wedding in London in April.
According to an official palace press release, it will be business as usual for the princess up to her due date, which is expected to be in March 2012.
Congratulations to the royal couple! Check out our gallery of the princess and her royal Swedish style.

I'm really really happy for Victoria. She and Daniel look so in love since day 1. In their case, it doesn't matter that they have "done their job" because i'm utterly sure that they want this baby to have a family, not to do their job, which is way Charlene will get preggers, if she gets preggers. I just hope Kate is the next one!

I just hope Kate is the next one! Albert is crazy enough to have connected himself and his country to her forever with the marriage, that is bad enough, but if she gets pregnant now, she well be around forever and connected to him and Monaco in their history books and that is what she is counting on, and with all the talk about their fake marriage and not being a sincere couple, it well only fuel more negative talk--it will only be worse for them, especially since Albert has enough kids that were not born out of love, so one more born this way is not going to excite anyone. Congratulations to the authentic Swedish Royal couple. No doubt Charlene will try to get busy out of jealousy and in an effort to draw some attention back on to her, just like Nicole-- Charlene's only reason to have Albert's child well be completely self serving and there isn't anyone who does not already see that. No one admires a woman in 2011 that would would enter in such an arrangement to have a child as her job!

Albert and Chalrene are rumored to be in New Zealand for the Rugby World Cup. Of course these two cannot miss a sporting event and the opportunity to get the hell out of Monaco. From the New Zealand Herald:
Rich and famous (and royalty) set for Rugby World Cup
By Michael Dickison Tuesday Aug 23, 2011
Prince William and Prince Harry won't be here, but we might get the newly married Albert II, Prince of Monaco, at the Rugby World Cup.
He is among many heads of state and celebrities rumoured to be heading our way.
Prince Albert is said to be a huge rugby fan and has been in the headlines with his marriage last month to Charlene Wittstock.
The consul for the Principality of Monaco in New Zealand, Richard Worth, yesterday declined to say what the prince's plans were.
Several political leaders will also be in New Zealand for the Pacific Islands Forum, which coincides with the tournament's opening night.
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, President Jacob Zuma of South Africa, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, US Assistant Secretary of State for Asia Pacific Kurt Campbell, Commonwealth Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma and Tongan Prime Minister Lord Siale'Ataonogo Tu'ivakano are all expected to be in Auckland for the forum - and are likely to be at Eden Park's VIP area when the All Blacks play Tonga on September 9.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, British Prime Minister David Cameron, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs Takeaki Matsumoto and Japanese former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori have all been tipped to visit for the cup.
Virgin boss Richard Branson has confirmed he will attend, and there is talk of Facebook executives having a base on the Auckland waterfront during the tournament.
About 50 superyachts are heading here for the tournament, booking out marinas.
A superyacht captains' forum has been scheduled for September 15 and 16, reflecting the number of high-flyers likely to be in town.
New Zealand-built luxury sailing yacht Vertigo is expected to arrive in Auckland for the tournament and the Russians are also said to be coming, with one superyacht owner spending $30,000 on tickets.
One 90m vessel is booked for the council-owned Jellicoe St berth. Others range in length from 59m to 67m.
Zara Phillips, the British royal recently married to English rugby player Mike Tindall, is expected to be here.
Many other celebrities will also accompany their rugby-playing boyfriends.
They include singers Duffy and Una Healy, former Miss France Alexandra Rosenfeld, models Lucie Jones, Ruth Griffin and Kelly Ingram-Walpole, actresses Susie Amy and Amy Huberman, and TV presenters Kirsty Gallacher and Alex Jones.

I remember in the last Rugby World Cup, Andrea also went. But it was in France. And it was 2006. The Bitchstock wasn't "world wide" known yet.
Now, 2011, The Cad has another opportunity to show his bimbo plastic wife. And to show the world they are madly in love.
