I have added polls here. Everybody will choose more and one alternative? You will see result after every voting. Have a lot of fun! It was easier made up by these four than putting the offsprings there, too.

I think it will be like recent years: Dumb and Dumber, and the Casiraghis. Or, Dumb and Dumber and Charlotte. Caroline hasn't attend in years. And this Rose Ball was so odd that maybe they will continue with the "oddness" and will go Albert, Charlene and Charlotte.

ACM makes changes to Grand Prix track Friday, 20 April 2012 19:50 Jeff Daniels The Automobile Club of Monaco has made several changes to the Grand Prix track to improve safety. The main change is at the chicane just after the exit of the tunnel, where Mexico’s Sergio Perez crashed in a qualifying race last year. The surface on the approach to the chicane has been levelled, after a laser study of the road revealed changes as big as 20cm in the height of the track in the braking area, autosport reported. In addition, the wall that Perez hit has been pushed back a further 14.6 metres… The other significant changes feature around the pit exit, which has been widened and straightened by removing some trees to allow cars to rejoin the track at a higher speed than before. Other modifications include the laying of high-grip surfaces as used at Paul Ricard in some escape roads, and tyre barriers being replaced with TecPro barriers - like the one Perez hit – at St Devote and the Swimming Pool section. The ACM said: "Safety is an abiding concern for the Monaco Grand Prix organisers. "The various measures implemented above aim to put the safety of drivers and public first and demonstrate a continued will to modernise the circuit." www.monacolife.net/?action=show&id=700

Any gossip about the Grand Prix?

Gossip? Well, let's see... Caroline isn't going to be there, neither will Charlotte. Barbie's bro will be in the royal lounge and the pits, trying to find a girlfriend. ("hey, do you know my sister is a princess here?") The streets will be painted pink in support for Barbie's foundation. The town will be painted red. Albert will be in the royal lounge and the pits, trying to find a date. ("Hey, do you know I am a prince here? Want to go back to my palace?") Barbie will be in the royal lounge and at the parties, keeping an eye out for a new sugardaddy for when the current contract runs out. Some CO 2-emission will take place. Three marriage will break up, 20 new relationships will start and 300 people will promise to call but never do so. Two people will fall asleep from boredom. One person will go insane from seeing Barbie close-up and personal. Oh, and the grand prix will be held at some time too, all 78 rounds of it. Rumour has it that the race will be held this year after the training and qualifying rounds. For some reason. Wouldn't know why. Sorry!

they are laready tooting the success horn. Claiming that they have sold heaps of tickets. When you look closer, then you can see that it is just one vendor who says they sold more then last year...for the terraces. Other then that you can still have plenty of tickets, if you are willing to pay the price. From what I hear the weather hasn't been that great recently. The public holiday was this week, Italians don't have the money to come in large numbers as in recent years and all in all I doubt that they will be sold out on what they consider the cheap seats. I also don't think that people will be spending much in the restaurants. In recent years they went for sandwiches and drinks to the supermarkets, rather then paying the GP prices of the bars and restaurants. Also the place was very quickly empty after the race, so no lingering and partying as in the past. Apart from those people with money that is. But its the mass of people that counts, not the ones with big wallets. My guess is that we will see a lot of empty space and worse when the weather is bad. www.monacomatin.mc/outdoor/j-7-avant-le-70e-grand-prix-de-monaco.873337.html

oh dear, Paris Hilton is coming to town. Looks like amber fashion is getting quite a lot of competition. Not only is Briatore putting a foot in (and he is better connected in F1 then Sonia Irvine), Jean Roch is opening a VIP room with Paris Hilton as attraction. Can't say that this announces class or glamour, but it says everything about what kind of people they expect to frequent MC these days. www.monacomatin.mc/derniere-minute/paris-hilton-pour-ouvrir-le-vip-room-de-jean-roch-a-monaco.875175.html trash as trash can is the motto these days I suppose....I assume that there will be more highpaid hookers helicopertered in this year then in previous years...

A 19 year old drunk climbed a Grand Prix footbridge and fell off from 9 meters high the night between Saturday and Sunday. He badly wrecked himself with very serious head injuries. He was transported by SMUR (Monaco emergency services) to Princess Grace Hospital but they had to re-transfer him to Saint Roch Hospital in Nice - the top best for traumatology.

I read about that. Are they racing like mad at night time again? It is surprising that there aren't more fatal accidents around GP time. I think the last really nasty one was with the rolls and all passengers killed the night after GP in the tunnel...and another one was with a scooter I believe, 1 or 2 years back...

Not only night time but also during the day! There must be a "syndrome of the Monaco Tunnel". Not only Ferraris but also motorbikes and other cars come in the tunnel like mad at totally unreaslistic speed. They must all think they are F1 champions.

that's the impression I always had. Around GP time the streets are way more dangerous then usual. Especially once there is alcohol involved and that is in MC pretty much 24/7 the case....
On another note, it seems that Amber fashion is not popular this year (no surprise there for me, but apparently for Sonia). Her friends keep posting the announcement on FB.

Some beautiful boats on the harbour. Taking time off today to go boat spotting! Got lost of nice pictures of boats. They are my VIPs. The mad rush will start tomorrow. There will be a lot more accesses blocked than normal. ACM are becoming greedier with every year that comes.

Well, they had to cough up a large sum last year to keep the F1. Let's see how many people will be willing to pay this year. Monday is a public holiday, but usually it is the Thursday they need as holiday to cash in. Also I read that the weather predictions aren't that great. Thunderstorms are predicted for the weekend. That can change of course since their longterm predictions are less accurate, but still the weather needs to be good for them to do good business...

What bugs me are all the freeloaders bumming everybody all of us serious F1 watchers they only want autographs on their programs and they pester and push so they can get their signatures. Many of the signed programs will show up for sale on ebay after the GP. Blaring hot outside. I got my face all sunburned without even noticing. I'll be out on a terrace garden this afternoon watching Free Practice 2 with a view from up above. This is an invite so I must rush and not miss it. I fell in love with a beautiful Dutch clipper. Got an invite from the captain to see the boat on Monday morning before they set sail for their next destination. The captain's business card will help a lot if I ever get blocked by the PC plods during hours.

Drab and incredible boring - Albert and his failed solution to boost Moanco's image and economy Charlene. Prince Albert II of Monaco and his wife Princess Charlene shake hands with the security staff during the second practice session at the Monaco F1 Grand Prix May 24, 2012.

she looks awful. Wonder if they had a fight before the gala and now she has to make up for it for sulking. Or they are trying to raise baby rumours. After all the media was there, she wasn't but no one bothered to ask about her. Instead bill is hogging the news with porn stars in MC and that is what will stick with people and their image of MC.
