If I'm reading things correctly here: www.cep-petanque.com/cepweb/eurocup/eurocup_pdf/Tirage_EuroCup12.pdfthe men's division of the Club Bouliste Monegasque (MC pétanque or jeu de boules club) will need to play in the Czech Republic on July 27 to 29. First round in the Eurocup 2012. Finals are to be held in Rastatt, Germany in December. They actually won last years eurocup, beatin Nice who won the last two times before.

While awaiting the new soccer season to start, ASM has borrowed striker Sebastian Ribas from Genua. He is the subject of a loan with the option of purchase. Original article and photo of said Ribas here: live-org.football365.fr/monaco-officiel-pour-ribas-870923.shtmlThe league will start again Friday after next (July 27) and ASM will play it's first match on the 30th against Tours. As seen in one of the other forums, Monaco will participate in the olympics. So far with six atlethes (and one fake atlethe ;D with Albert's status up for discussion). The six and the sports they will compete in, can be seen on the olypics website: www.london2012.com/athletes/country=monaco/index.htmx The one mugshot that is missing can be found in our own thread: royalopinions.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=couple&action=display&thread=571And the one female, with whom Albert seems more comfortable and cozy than with his own wife, is competing in...the swimming competition! 100 meter backstroke event.

The poor girl is only 21.... Would you wish Albert on her? (no pun intended).

There are six Monegasques competing in the olympics.
Yann Siccardi (Judo) had a bye in the first round, won the second and lost to Russian Arsen Galstyan in the last 16....
Herve Banti (triathlon) has to wait until August 7.
Damien Desprat (sailing) will be up today and apparently all the way to Saturday. And next Monday if he makes the final.
Brice Etes (athletics - 800m), most likely next Monday.
Mathias Raymond (rowing - single sculls) he had to row last Saturday and made it to the quarter finals tomorrow (Tuesday).
Angelique Trinquier (swimming - 100m backstroke) she had to swim Sunday and it seems she didn't make it into the last sixteen.

Poverina Yes, anywhere friendlier to train than MC where she was wedged in by the SA team. That's no way to be made to feel before something as important as the Olympics. It's sabotage by a jealous CC. Now I see why she invited her paesan's...we hadn't seen that Monaco had a prettier, younger swimmer in its midst! At least Angelique's youth is on her side. If CC can stay out of the way next time, Angelique should do well in the next Olympics. C'est partie remise, ma belle. I'm rooting for her!

Nice is producing the French swimming gold medals, so it would be silly not to try an train with them. Especially whan you have such a good coach around the corner. Muffat and Agnel are both training in Nice. Hollande came specifically to see them compete.

With Albert and bad luck charm barbie (presumably) safely away, ASM beat poor Tours this evening with 4-0. With one match played, ASM now leads the table and Tours resides in the bottom place.
I have tried my best to find out what happened with the pétanque this weekend, but to no avail.

In my search for something else, I stumbled on the petanque results. Either they were there all along and I just overlooked them, or the website was finally updated. De MC boulistes came top of their poule and are now hosting the next round if I'm not mistaken. Slovenes, Italians and Belgians will visit Monaco in October (19 - 21). Results here for those interested: www.cep-petanque.com/cepweb/eurocup/eurocup2012.htmIn soccer, ASM is still leading the league. Four wins, one draw and three points ahead. Next Friday an away game against Le Havre. It's slow news time, if something doesn't happen soon, I'll forget my password... My vote is on the sacking of the wifely escort. Please?

I'm looking at your signature G, and think when we start to hope, we get deflated. Maybe if we say nothing, she'll just go away... Fun, about the petanque results. Monaco does well when the cat is gone.

Long ago, I tried to convince people that ignoring barbie would be the best thing, since it was attention she wanted, but it didn't help. Now the damage is done and we (I) can only hope there is indeed a contract with a limited time clause and wait until the contract has been served.
The MC boulistes do well anyway, with or without Albert. They won the championship last year and were third the year before that.

I think the current sportive achievement which would explain their absence is a IVF marathon in some Albert's advisor's remote house where children aren't supervised but concocted. I'm putting money on a baby announcement to try to grandstand an upcoming Andrea nuptial. God, it's awful when I've actually twisted my brain the CC way, until I just got a spasm

tonight they will have the supercup in MC for the last time. They have had it for the past 15 years. NOw it's gone. IMO Uefa is doing their bit in their interest, possibly receiving some extra pay from the cities that will hold it in the future. But for MC it is not only a loss of media attention, it is a significant financial loss. They rarely manage to have a full stadium these days. Also the hotels will notice the difference. Another downgrading for MC. And especially for Albert it has to be quite a blow that he loses another sporting event. First the Laureus is moved to Spain, now Uefa moves the supercup. Ecclestone has already threatened to move the F1 which for now they managed to keep. But for how much longer? www.monacomatin.mc/football/un-retour-en-2016-a-monaco-pour-la-supercoupe-de-football.977228.html

I have mixed feelings about Ecclestone. I say Monaco, who invented the Grand Prix switch to doing a race using fuel-free performance cars. Take that, Bernie!

Shows you the sport has gone out of racing. The early drivers were test pilots essentially, now they have such a machine behind the machines, it's divaesque and risk-averse.
