According to Benoni Times reporter Clyde Meela who was interviewed by ZDF, ZDF is doing a documentary on the royal loves of Charlene and Kate to be aired on 26 June 2012. I am assuming this is to be a big highlight right in time to celebrate the fairytale couple 1st wedding anniversary. I guess Charlene's father still hasn't made it to Monaco fulltime since Michael and Sean Wittstock were interviewed in Benoni instead of Moanco/France where Gareth and Lynette Wittstock live.
Do you really have to see the resulting footage on Charlene to know what and how ZDF will present her - the happy and in love perfect princess who has not only conquered and won the hearts of he people of Monaco but the hearts of the people of the world.

Here's the February article from the Benoni City Times:
Benoni journo to feature in a royal documentaryby Clyde Meela 29 February 2012 Benoni City Times journalist Clyde Meela will soon feature in yet another royal documentary in regard to his work and friendship with Princess Charlene of Monaco. The documentary, by ZDF (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen), will be about the lives of Princess Charlene and Princess Kate Middleton, The Duchess of Cambridge, and will feature various people who know and had contact with the two princesses, royal officials and some of their family members. The focus of the documentary is to highlight the lives of the two princesses and how they have changed since becoming members of two European royal families a year ago. Meela and Princess Charlene’s family were interviewed at the D’Oreale Grande Hotel, at Emperors Palace, on Monday and Tuesday, February 27 and 28. The TV crew interviewed Princess Charlene’s father and brother, Mike and Sean Wittstock, on Monday, and Meela’s interview took place the following day. Other South Africans who will feature in the documentary includes popular TV personality Jo-Ann Straus, from Top Billing, who has done various interviews with Princess Charlene and the people at the Oyster Box Hotel, where the princess hosted her South African royal wedding reception in July 2011. “The interview was a great and fun experience and I think Princess Charlene has done very well in her royal duties since taking the reigns as the Princess of Monaco,” said Meela. The documentary, shot in HD, will be broadcast on June 26, on ZDF.

Charlene's family and friends have always participated in these documentaries to sell Charlene as the most angelic hardest working and now most happy ad in love princess. any bets on whether we will see Kate's parents, brother and sister interviewing. I'm asking because I know that ZDF does these documentary on all the royal families - but do they themselves participate?

I noticed it also said Kate so there is the big sell line right there. They are going to have to do a lot of photo editing to come up with the "so in love" photos of Charlene and Albert because there really just aren't too many of them. Mostly it's Charlene hanging all over him. We could do our own photo montage starting with the flashlight "show" and ending with the last ball. I think they will end up with the title for Charlene's section "he's just not that into you". If they contrast this with Kate it's going to be obvious. Also if it's only going to play in SA then it's a pretty small audience. JMO
I should add that I doubt the BRF has given permission for anyone to speak on record about Kate unless they are using old footage or quotes. I can't see any of their friends speaking on record for this thing unless they want to be frozen out. Just a thought.

i'm betting NONE of the british participate. first of all because they find the grimaldis "UNROYAL" << which they are since they are only "princely". they don't know or care who trashlene is, they've never cared about moronaco and her pathetic tranny ass, ain't gonna change that GAWD to even compare the two is hilarious.
i can see the scene....will and kate surrounded by thousands of waving people in canada than a shot of trashy and faTal on the oscar red carpet, totally ignored and pathetic.
$5 bucks the palace is paying big money for this exposure, hope we can compare the ratings ROFL her own country could care less. if he'd married an american with class and dignity, she'd be bigger than Kate JMO heck, married anyone with class and dignity, that's the problem, we've got all the fame whores with bad plastic surgery that will do anything including gross, fat, stupid stuttering pigs, we can stand, the non dynamic duo just bring nothing to the the table but trashy desperation.

Kate does not have to sell herself, nor her relationship to the British royal family and especially her LOVING relationship to her husband to anyone - But Charlene DOES, ALWAYS HAS and ALWAYS WILL have to sell herself and her loveless business marriage to anyone who wants to listen

OMG Just another "journalist" who is "friend" with CW sucking up to her And ZDF (one of two German TV stations which is financed by public = peoples money to be "intependent" and offer high quality TV ...) covers this I don't get it!!!

A cheap entertainment for the masses. I bet they threw Kate in just to bring viewers in. It will be mostly about WC because no one from Kate's family will talk...I wouldn't be surprised if it is paid/sponsored in part by Monaco...

So they are interviewing all her flunkies. How can Meela who probably does not know anything about MC and who has probably not set a foot into MC nor speaks sufficent French to judge how trashy has done as a princess. Shouldn't they be interviewing people in MC and mostly those who are known to criticise instead of ONLY interviewing people who are either not allowed to state their opinion or who have sth to gain from sucking up. It sounds like a very one sided and non journalistc piece. Calling it a documentary is an insult to those who actually do serious and well researched documentaries.

Also you will see on trashies behalf the Kelly cousin, Steph, Dad and brother Wittstock, some SA parasites, wheras on Kates part you will see mainly reporters or royal watchers. I doubt that any direct family member will be spilling any beans. In order to have the family, they will take the few comments from the parents after the announcement, they will point out that the parents paid part of the costs, whereas trashy and her family have lived are an are still living entirely off Albert (though they will won't say it right out). You will see a desperate attempt to sell trashy as the perfect princess and then you will have footage and comments from Brit press that Kate is the perfect princess. The good thing is that no matter how bad they research this, in comparisson Kate will always come out positive and trashy will always come out a golddigger. I don't suppose that they will get a surgeon in to discuss her surgeries.

If they would speak at all they would talk to Brit press, but I doubt it. Even Dianas family has not spoken to the press, apart from her horrible brother and that stepgrandmother. And the brother only really talked after her death. See how much a part of his nephews lives he is today. Sounded differently at the funeral, but then he never intended to follow his words with action. He lived in SA for many years. Wonder if that explains things...

Knowing the ZDF and having seen some of the documentaries they make, they will probably find a few people to talk about the two saviours of royals. The experts for Monaco usually were: a royal reporter, wannabee celebs that either live in Monaco, have seen cw during a ball, want to be her closest friend (but aren't even close), German society people that go to MC for the publicity, or any combination of these.

There are those who find Kate anorexic, boring, lazy and stupid. Yes these are things that were said about her. I have read all those comments on blogs. It seems those who love Charlene hate Kate and those who love Kate can't stand Charlene. Since this is a hometown docu-drama, my guess is that they will make Kate not look so good while promoting Charlene. JMO.

Hibou, Germans have no interest to tear down Kate. She is a good sell in Germany. I'd say that the angle will most likely be pro Kate. They might not rub it in that Kate is educated as opposed to trashy. And although Germans love successful sports people (and trashy has been sold as such as it is the only thing she has going for herself), they prefer educated people. If they do a comparisson, they might come to the conclusion that to a degree Kates education helped her adjusting to her new role, apart from Will really being in love with his wife. Not mentioning that she comes from a wealthy background and received a certain social education at home, whereas trashy lacks manners because no one ever bothered with her.

Well, I don´t like both ;D Kate and her family also leaked stuff to the press and had contacts to the paparazzis, no one will expose them at the moment, because Kate is hyped by the press (who knows all the stories..) I´m sure most aren´t really interested in Charlene when they bash Kate and just need a "good" example. I just think then: really? You can´t compare the wife of a sovereign Prince to the wife of a heir heir. Of course Charlene has to do more engagements, its not her "good" heart

Kate is already doing more then trashy. If she moved up to be the heirs wife, she will have to do more. She knew that it was a job and a man she was going to marry. Trashy married a wallet and her idea of a lifestyle. She doesn't want the job nor does she want the man. And that's why she is not doing the job. She only does just about enough to keep the wallet and the lifestyle. Lucky for her, the expectations are low
