wow! she uses public transport ! good on her! Carla Bruni-Sarkozy wears wig to travel incognito in ParisPARIS -- Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, wife of the French president, wears a wig and takes the subway to travel incognito in Paris, she said in an interview published Friday. " With a wig nobody recognizes me in the metro," the former model, heiress and singer told Le Nouvel Observateur. "Recently, my handbag was even searched in the museum of the navy." "Fame isn't difficult to bear because I like to disguise myself literally and figuratively," she said, according to the website The Local France. Bruni-Sarkozy also noted the difference between herself and staid former first ladies, such as Claude Pompidou in the 1970s. www.nypost.com/p/news/international/carla_bruni_sarkozy_wears_wig_to_64WHqfg56Hp4afEmQtLzpL?utm_campaign=OutbrainA&utm_source=OutbrainArticlepages&obref=obinsource I will miss her if husband Sarkozy loses the election. I don't like Sarkozy but he has a fantastic wife!

LOL that was a PR stunt to show how grounded and close to the public they are. Do you really believe that she takes the tube? This one ranges in the same drawer as her remarks about that SDF she keeps chatting with. As to the elections; unfortunately Hollande is so bland that Sarkozy might just win the elections. And those killings are working for him. I don't like Hollande either for the way he sabbotaged Royals campaign because he can't bear to have a woman more successful then him. Not that I liked Royal that much better, but it was so obvious that the only reason she did not get the full support of her party was due to the hurt ego of Hollande. So on the human level Sarko and Hollande are birds of the same feather. Women are supposed to be decoration and stand back when the men demand them to. I think if I had a right to vote in France, I'd rather vote for Joly even if she has no chance.

I actually thought (and think) that Carla herself was one big PR stunt. That Sarko had taken a leaf out of Albert's book and hired himself a wife. With the difference that Sarko got value for his money and Albert bought a lemon instead of an orange. But we'll see the how and what when Sarko isn't president anymore.
French elections this Sunday too.

I will take Carla Bruni any time over the Trierweiler woman the Big Cheese hangs around with. I am no Sarkozy buff but Gawd save us from Hollande winning the election or we will have a concubine in the Presidential palace first time ever in the history of the French Republic! Also the Trierweiler is quite fugly though she seems to think very highly of herself. She is a journalist for Paris-Match! 30 reasons not to vote for HollandeNobody wants him ;D
