Paca, clearly he knows what to say to Albert to get the job. This man knows one thing - how to work the biggest sucker in Monaco. Besides giving glorifying statements, I wonder if he actually gave concrete ideas of what he would do differently than what was done in the past. I highly doubt that he did.

he claims he wants fans to flock for autographs. Clearly he knows that no star comes when there is no crowd. And in MC there just never was a crowd. I walked past heaps of times and there was nothing. He wants to have more public viewings, but they have had that before. Also they seem to involve the schools now, so I guess that they will be forced to attend. The guy was managing Imagina before. ANyways, I wouldn't be surprised if he paid people for coming. The viewings have always been free of charge and there wasn't really a rush for tickets. I once got tickets online, but eventually didn't go. And that is the risk they are running with online tickets and free tickets. People just get their tickets and then don't go when sth better comes up. Besides in MC, if sth is for free, then people don't really think it is worth going as if it was any good, then they'd charge

Silly question probably, but why do they actually hold this festival? Not long ago I came across another one and now I wonder what's the point. I forgot where it was, France maybe or in the US, but one festival kind of seems enough? It seems to be the trend though, for movies there's the oscars, Cannes, SAG awards, probably some others and a zillion national festivals. Not being overly interested in either of them, I mentally sweep them all on one pile thinking "oh. Nice. Another movie event. Yawn."
Same thing here. I could argue that it was for Europe only, but since I've seen actors featuring from Desperate Housewives, CSI, House and other US series, that doesn't seem to be the point. Same point as the twenty seven charity galas really.

Does Joan Collins actually act in anything in this century? I don't know most of these people - which doesn't mean much since I am not a big TV watcher, so I definitely don't know the non-American starsFrench actor Jean Marc Barr and his companion Lorie and Philippe BasLouise EklandSarah Shahi

Iknow US actress Diane Neal from Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. I recall in past years the MCTV used to get the entire cast from he most popular American TV shows to appear. Not anymore. IT used to be special to appear in Monaco - not anymore. US actor Christian Leblanc British actor Roger Moore and his wife Kristina TholstrupFrench actress Corinne TouzetCanadian actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood

Most likely the Titantic is showing off her "gold" to the SA swimmers. Well, they definitely do not have the renowned american actors this year and not the entire cast (except for the soap opera bold and Beautiful) as they used to.

French TV host Cecile De Menibus - Good lawd her gown is so gaudy! Most of all it is ill fitting. Especially for her body. Plus it is too long. It needs a taller and curvier woman. Also it would look better on a brunette. And then the biggest mistake: you don't wear red on a red carpet unless you are a chameleon and don't want to be seen. Red is a look at me colour only when it is not on a red background....

MC has mostly been a platform for French TV people. US series usually sent less important cast members. I have to say that I didn't realy watch French TV, but a lot of these people ring a bell. Not all of them are good IMO but Huster is well known and respected. Then again French TV people do not have a lot of occasion to promote themselves and get their faces out there. Not internationally. Dujardin is an exception. He used to be in a tiny little thing on TV every day with his now wife. That was in my early days in France. And it was noticeable then that they are both talented. Though in the show she was more prominent then him. But it was a daily thing of just a few minutes. And look where it took him. Not hearing much of his wife though. Since he has started to take his own parts, she seems to have gotten less roles. Or maybe she just decided to step back for a while. But he is in MC these days, so it is interesting that they didn't get him to come. He is the number one star in France at present.
