Interesting that they say that Tatiana doesn't want trashy around her baby being born and trashy doesn't want Tatiana to give birth in MC... So then the question is, if the child is not born in Monaco but Andrea and Tatiana marry, is the child still in line to the throne?

At the time of his birth Andrea would not have been automatically Monegasques as the nationality used to be only passed on through the male line. But since then the law has been changed, so I believe that people his age may be eligible to citizenship. In his specific case obviously he would have been made by his grandfather anyways, but I believe that Stefano probably received nationality upon marriage as their was a possibility of an heir there. For Ducruet it wouldn't have been necessary and I believe that he has been kept French. Place of birth is unimportant. Rainiers mother wasn't born in MC and Louis II was born and raised in Germany. And yes the baby will be in line as soon as they marry. SOmeone could claim that he is not as his parents will not be married at the time, but who knows if they won't have a civil ceremony in private before the birth to be on the safe side. In any case all following offspring will definitely be eligible and I am pretty certain that there will be more then one child for them.

Ah, okay, thank you I could imagine they are already married in a civil wedding, although I heard something of March and a religious in Winter.

I thought the religious was supposed to be in spring or summer. I also think that they might be already married. After all, even today women still die giving birth, so I would have thought that they would have made sure asap that the kid would be legit in case anything ever happens to the mother before they could get married. Nowadays babies are viable pretty early, actually some survive while they are still in the legal abortion timeframe. So even if you do refuse to think of the worst, you better be prepared. Life doesn't wait for you to be ready when it strikes...and although I can imagine the couple not to worry about anything, I believe that Caro might have thought of it. I also believe that they would have kept it pretty quiet with only the closest people in the know.

I am bit disappointed in how Andrea and Tatiana are handling this situation. Very nonchalant...they come across immature and not so serious. They should have gotten married as soon as the pregnancy was announced...or at least start planning one, so they are married before the child is born. The civil marriage doesn't take much preparation, it could have been done long time ago. Why waiting until the last minute of the last hour. Very stupid and immature. I understand that P. Caroline can't decide for them since they are both adults, but I would have expected from her to push them a bit into making a good decision. Why complicating thing even more? Like Monaco needs more drama!

well, we don't know for sure if they are not already civilly married. But you are right. I also would have expected Caro to point out the fineries to her offspring.

Exactly, like Monaco needs another story of "an illegitimate child". I wouldn't give an opportunity to Wittstocks to go around and talk about another Grimaldi bustard child, the way they are referring to all of Steph's and Albert's children.

That's rich, the Hillbillies who probably by their parents' thrift are welded together now in greed are casting aspersions on their meal tickets. Where's the eject button, Q?

The baby should be born in Monaco. I suppose Tatiana and Andreas consider it a private family matter and nobody's business but their own. If they don't take Monaco seriously, why should anybody else. If Albert goes to Brazil for the birth, he is a kind uncle but a lousy prince. Imagine Ranier going to a foreign country for the birth of his heir. Maybe Maxima should have had her children in Argentina. Then Beatrix could have travelled to Buenos Aires for the birth.

I get a hunch the baby has already arrived. Caroline is beaming at the art exhibit and Albert is said to be travelling to South America...it doesn't take a genius.

The same way "Tati" revealed she was pregnant when she made a public appearance, in her own time.

Does anybody know if they have sold rights to any paper to reveal the soon-to-born-baby to the public?

I don't think they're hard up for money or as cheap as the British about these things.

I doubt they will be doing that. That would mean that they are up for grabs and can not prevent the kid being dragged into public before its time. I think there will be some photo op with an official pic on the palace website and that's going to be it.
