Right on the mark. It was a set up.

How do you figure it was a set up? At 2:30 in the morning he walks by a table of partiers and acts obnoxious and is clocked in the face? Puleeze! Drugs and Booze - distorts reality and causes erratic behavior. Everyone lawyered up and this will play out in the media for months.

First time Poster! NY Post front page headline that Pierre Casiraghi got into a bar fight in NYC Sat night and had to be hospitalized with a bloody face. Awful publicity for the royal family on the eve of PA's trip to the Oscars. Wonder if he cancels. Albert should if anything move up his visit and stop to check on Pierre, if he has any compassion and decency.

It's not in Adam Hock's best interest to draw attention to his activities which could prove that he's the spoiled, aggressive playboy. And Pierre isn't the one known for drugs...

Sorry - having difficulty with my computer - I wanted to comment that Caroline should really be flying in to look after her son. Why have Albert stop on his way to California? Caroline is the mother, and she should check in on him.

Caroline has Alexandra to take care of. It's convenient for Albert who travels at the drop of a hat. Also, he's there if anything needs handling though I don't think either way, he'd be truthfully that hands-on. I'd be surprised. Pleasantly, but surprised. He'd likely excuse his non-interference as him not being able to show favour to her kids over his, even if he can disinvite his own at his wedding. That's the screwy paradox, I guess. I said it in outrage anyway. Just ignore that earlier post.

My last word on this. It turns out this happened Friday night. It's been reported only today, after someone phoned up the NY Post.
You do the math.

My sources, which are pretty reliable, say this guy Hock is to blame for sure. Not necessarily a "set up" - but he has a bad attitude. IMO - Pierre may be spoiled, but he's not a brute -it's not his style.

Hock's attorney is not well respected from what I've read. Hock himself isn't either. Something is fishy about this. How in the heck would he (who his attorney says is no Hulk Hogan) take on 4 guys? The police would have charged Pierre if her were guilty. He doesn't have immunity in this case because he wasn't acting as a diplomat for Monaco. The police have charged Hock with assault for ALL of the guys. No one else was charged or under investigation.
No doubt that he gets out of jail and tries to make it appear that Casiraghi and friends were at fault "trust fund babies" because the US public right now is very divided about the rich and middle class. He's betting on the fact that Caroline and the boys families won't want the bad publicity and will want it to go away if he makes enough stink. It's really easy, I'm not buying that Pierre was at fault. He's trying to manipulate the jury pool and I hope Pierre presses charges.
He's never even been hinted at anything like this. Suddenly, the Charlene fans are calling him a drug addict, etc.
The Church of Charlene members are taking advantage of a situation and latching themselves onto a really horrible person as an opportunity to take a pot shot at Caroline and get any publicity for Charlene they can - what else is new?!

A bunch of drunk kids get punched out by a 47 yr old man who gets lots of press out of this by making sure his side of the story is heard first by his attorney. All the 47 year old had to do was have bouncers remove the offensive kids. Instead we have drunk kids and most likely drunk insecure 47 yr old man hanging out with young chicks making useless headlines. As for the kids, yes they need to grow up. They weren't in Monaco where they could get away with their behavior. Hopefully lesson learned? As for the 47 year old, hanging out with young girls --- creepy if you ask me. JMO.

Drugs and Booze - distorts reality and causes erratic behavior. Everyone lawyered up and this will play out in the media for months. Acting obnoxious - if Pierre really hapdid - is not a crime in the good old United States of America. I read the original NY Post article and even by NY Post's account, the obnoxious one is the man who actually started the fight, Adam Hock the club owner. It seems the police agreed which is why Adam Hock was arrested and charged with assault. Neither Pierre nor his friends were arrested! The police talked to witnesses - PEOPLE WHO WERE ACTUALLY IN THE NIGHT CLUB DURING THE INCIDENT - before making their arrest. So, before anyone starts vilifying Pierre - who is the victim according to the New York Police Department - I suggest you read the police report. It will play out in the media by those who have an agenda to promote. Americans really do not care.
Monaco royal hurt, fmr. club owner charged in celebs' NYC bar brawl
Grace’s grandson left in a pulp after celebs’ Meatpacking melee

EXCLUSIVE A vicious fight involving vodka and supermodels at a Meatpacking District nightclub sparked a royal beatdown that landed Monaco’s Prince Pierre Casiraghi in the hospital, The Post has learned.
The attack on the 24-year-old son of Princess Caroline and grandson of Grace Kelly came during a late-night confrontation between the prince and his playboy pals and former Manhattan club owner Adam Hock at trendy Double Seven on Saturday, witnesses and law-enforcement sources said.
After the fight, “Pierre’s face looked broken, with deep cuts and blood everywhere,” said one stunned witness.
DANIEL SHAPIRO PUNCH DRUNK: Former club owner Adam Hock leaves court yesterday after being charged with assaulting four jet-setters in a brawl at nightclub Double Seven.
“He looked like he needed plastic surgery.”
Hock, 47, had been partying with friends — including Double Seven owner Jeffrey Jah, hairdresser-to-the-stars Joel Warren and catwalk stunners Natasha Poly, Valentina Zalyaeva and Anja Rubik — when Casiraghi strolled over to their table with shipping-scion pal and Paris Hilton ex Stavros Niarchos III and two other men at around 2:30 a.m., witnesses said.
Members of Hock’s group said the prince and his entourage “were being completely obnoxious,’’ insulting the models and swigging from a $500 bottle of vodka on Hock’s table.
“The next thing I saw, all hell broke loose,’’ one witness said.
Hock allegedly cold-cocked Casiraghi, sending him sprawling.
Casiraghi “fell very badly. He . . . flew across the room and landed on a table on the other side,” the onlooker said.
Hock then allegedly punched out Niarchos, 26, and quickly landed blows on downtown hipsters Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld, 27, and Diego Marroquin, 33 — as the flustered models frantically tried to break it up.
Casiraghi was taken to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and released later Saturday, sources said.
Hock — the former owner of the Hawaiian Tropic Zone in Times Square — was charged with four counts of third-degree assault for the alleged attacks on Casiraghi, Restoin Roitfeld, Marroquin and Niarchos, whose supermodel girlfriend, Jessica Hart, was with him.
At his arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court yesterday, Hock said he was the victim. “I was defending myself and others,” he said. “Why aren’t [Casiraghi and his pals] handcuffed?”
He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court next month.
Friends of Casiraghi claimed Hock was the instigator.
“The prince walked up to the table, and Adam just slammed him for no reason,’’ one witness said. “Stavros jumped in to help Pierre, and then he got slammed in the face.”
At one point, witnesses on both sides agree, a friend of Casiraghi grabbed a bottle of Grey Goose vodka from a nearby table and tried to crack it over Hock’s head.
Hock’s power lawyer, Sal Strazzullo, said, “My client was having a nice time with a married couple and a lady friend and a group of very beautiful women, and these individuals were jealous, and they resorted to elementary-school tactics.
“My client is not Bruce Lee . . . These four guys are trust-fund babies who think the world is owed to them. They are like spoiled brats.”
Richard Golub, who is representing the prince and his pals, said, “It was a horrifying incident . . . It was entirely unprovoked.”

Thanks for the information. VAmilkshake, you can discuss Charlene's elation to your heart's content - but in the appropriate thread. This thread is dedicate to opinions about Pierre's news, current events and upcoming events. Since Albert and Charlene attended this event I will move this post to Albert and Charlene's combined board and in the thread with their combined general events. You can always start a new thread for any event (in the appropriate board) that you believe will have more than a couple of items to post about.

The only people trying to make it seem that Pierre is at fault is the trashy Con artist's flunkies. REPEAT: The New York Police department did an investigation and interviewed people at the scene - called WITNESSES - and Adam Hock was arrested and charged with assault. Pierre is the VICTIM. The Church of Charlene can only make this trashy con artist look good by sullying Caroline and Grace - their two favorite people to trash. Guess what you silly loonies - it doesn't and hasn't worked. At the end of the day Charlene is still the same trashy high school drop-out con artist who is seen by sensible sane people as the trashy gold digger she really is - which repulses people - which is why Monaco is steadily declining in these people's eyes.

sorry, but I don't think that Pierre was punched for no reason. IMO they probably bit off more then they could chew. They all had been drinking and the Casiraghis and their lot are no boyscouts. They simply underestimated the reactions of those they insulted. They didn't realize that the guy might actually be stronger then them or dare to touch them. No sympathies for either side. The guy was probably arrested because he was not injured whereas the others were. That does not mean that he started it or that he did not tell the truth. It simply means that he was stronger then them and frankly the Casiraghis do not strike me as having the physical strength to back up what comes out of their mouths. Neither of the boys has a particular good rep as being intelligent and keeping out of mischief. police usually arrest the one with the least injuries. Court probably has to determine whether the amount of force used was adequate to the incident. It is not about who started it. That only might help to reduce charges . That Casiraghi side says that they didn't do anything and were attacked out of the blue is normal behaviour of people who need to maintain an image in public and to me not credible. It is very rare that you get attacked by someone for no reason whatsoever.
