Charlene has been away from SA Swimming for years, so she doesn't personally know these people. But, she is more friendly to these strangers than she is to anyone in Monaco.

and she has to wear heels in the pool where shoes are not allowed. Looks like the palace lost the iron.Another wrinkled outfit. No one taught her that you don't walk with your hands in the trousers either. and while she is in the middle of talking to her paid props, she makes sure that they know that they are not as important to her as checking her sms on her phone....

At least she wore a bra for once, but how totally inappropriate to be hugging hall-naked men?? In one picture, one male swimmer is grinning like she doesn't realize she looks like a dirty old hussy. Honestly, dooesnt she have any common sense? Decorum?

I agree on the mission of the foundation - but then as we discussed on another thread - people over there give to get something. Not necessarily give to a particular cause. At least she did wear a bra....probably read how we noticed that in Germany.....

At least she did wear a bra....probably read how we noticed that in Germany..... or just to prevent her nipples betraying her excitement over huging halfnaked, yound, muscled guys. The Monegasques were outraged at Grace playing in a movey a cleptomaniac and she had to retract. Some of those people are still alive and very vocal. Can you imagine what these same people would say at the sight of trashy hugging these guys? She just doesn't have a clue.... besides I have not seen her once as enthousiastic with MC athletes. Ever. Hope she will have to go back to SA soon. Wonder how friendly those people would be with her, when she doesn't have a husband to foot their bills anymore...

If only the woman gave off one iota of the sexiness Grace had, however she should not have made contact with a bare torso. That's just a no-brainer.

It's still inappropriate on so many levels.
First, it's misappropriation of charity funds when there was no actual fundraiser specifically targeting the hosting of a foreign Olympic team in Monaco. Monaco looks like a stupid milking cow for these country bumpkins. It's a breach of deontological ethics, and probably illegal.
Secondly, it's a slap in the face for a newly minted member of the principality to blatantly expose favouritism and patronage of this kind. It's like Trierweiler tweeting for Royal's rival. It was unacceptable and a clear conflict of interest.
Thirdly, it's demoralizing to Monaco's homegrown athlete to have to take a backseat to South Africans who officially have nothing to do with Monaco. Let's not forget Monaco is also competing in the Olympics - so why the hell would they be hosting South Africa?
Lastly, she should have stuck to watching the athletes from the bleachers, as befits a lady... but that one will never stick anyways.

According to the IOC charter, at best National Olympic Committees can crossover or overlap (aka joint bilateral programmes among NOCs) but the matter needs to be brought up in Session and a quorum of at east half the membership has to decide whether they can go ahead. I don't recall hearing that there was a formal request for the Monaco Olympic Committee to help out the South African NOC under the principle of Olympic solidarity, and certainly there were no extraordinary sessions where it was put to a vote. I guess Albert just availed himself of some kind of $pecial statu$ to make this little pet project happen... www.olympic.org/Documents/olympic_charter_en.pdf

that's what I thought that there might be a problem with the IOC. I think SA is not considered a needy country. I know that the IOC does support talented athletes, especially from countries with difficulties. It would have been considered honorable to offer such an athlete the opportunity to train. But what trashy id doing is highly inappropriate with regards to their own team. Of course they could allow them to use the pool at the same time as their own swommers, but to foot all their bills? ? I know that Bubka trained in Formia at the same time as the Italian national team, Jarmila Kratochvilova and others. They used the facilities in Italy in spring due to the mild climate. But the bills were footed by their respective countries. I think there will be IOC meetings before the Olympics. WOnder if someone will bring it up....

here is an interesting article with criticism about the IOC and that they are basically doing what they like. The athletes do not really figure in their thoughts. Personally I think that the IOC is no different thne the FIFA. If active athletes with less success would talk they would be suspended from participating. www.spiegel.de/sport/sonst/degen-fechterin-duplitzer-kritisiert-ioc-und-dosb-heftig-a-845801.html she also states with reagrds to doping that if you have money, a good doctor and a weak association, then you will never get caught...that explains whyy trashy could get away with it that long. And why Armstrong, Griffith joyner and many others got away with it.

Great article, Paca. We basically know that at some point, the anti-doping squad will come knocking and Albert may even be the one to call them, when he decides to flush his bridezilla.

none of them look like starving, disadvantaged athletes to me. Just a bunch of vermint from SA. Hope karma is getting back at those who were slurping in MC. It seems that not all SA swimmers attended. I think they have a lot who train in the US who did not come to MC so I guess it's only those affiliated with trashys former coach. Not really what I would expect of a team...
I am also missing her lunch with the MC team. I don't see her spending much time with those people who are making it possible for to get her flat lazy butt kissed...

I think it's horrendous to do this to the Monaco team. She deserves to be packed up with the South Africans and shipped off where she'd obviously be happy to gloat. Wonder how long that stupid grin would last...
