Too bad she didn't go on the state visit too. At least she would have been dressed for it.

Caroline looks sublime. It's not easy to go alone and she just did just swimmingly. I love her in the dark gown and I think the beige suit is sufficiently regal. No need to drip in jewelry like that other wedding last year (Netherlands somewhere?) where it was almost ridiculous.

This definately is something that Charlene has been fearing i supposed. It will be interesting to see ND this year. Last year was so boring anyway.

I am sure she knew it. Guess why she was so busy recently. With NH around the corner she probably fear that with a newly engaged Andrea, a radiant soon to be granny Caro and her offspring will steal the show and get cheered on rather then the loser leading couple which still has to trot the globe and answer questions about their relationship, Albert's obvious lack of leadership and trashys lack of fertility. Maybe showing up with Jazmin was meant to remind people that the problem is not with Albert's little swimmer, but rather the big one. Hence the sour look...

Paca, do you think Albert has the support to change the Constitution and adopt one of his children? I mean, exactly what Rainier didn´t want, that they inherit.

Ask the universe and you shall receive (I feel biblical these days.. ) - Tatiana saves the day! Of course, a baby will steal the show. Albert may want to ease into the role of stoic statesman and start fazing out. He's had it good a long time. He can even keep the bride, who cares now but at least, let Andrea have his day rather than try to upstage him. Life has shown the way forward.

Paca, do you think Albert has the support to change the Constitution and adopt one of his children? I mean, exactly what Rainier didn´t want, that they inherit. No, albert is a very weak prince. Monegasques won't see the need for his kids to inherit MC. Especially Jazmin is already an adult and has apart from him no connection to MC. We don't know how well she speaks the language either. There are enough heirs around. The situation is different to Rainiers mom. Her father was an only child and he was already nearing what was then considered the end of his life, so probability for an heir was slim. There was also a vested French interest in the succession question. In ALberts case it is more of a family matter then anything else. Besides I think he has a closer relationship to his nieces and nephews then to his own kids. SO I doubt that it is considered an option by anyone. I really think that the Jazmin stunt was only for publicity reasons. I believe that it was basically throwing Jazmin a bone, hoping for some US media to cover the PGA for this reason and to demonstrate that the baby issue is not due to ALberts lack of little swimmers. Rainier changed the constitution for a reason and Monegasques knew it. There is also still a lot of loyalty to Rainier these days, due to the fact that he is responsible for their prosperity. So there is no reasonable argument in favour of a change apart from ALberts vanity to see his line continued. BUt seeing how poor a leader he is, that just might confirm people in thinking that it might be better that way...and Jazmin doesn't strike me as being so extraordinary that she would be able to convince people with her personality and qualities to change the constitution for her...the political circumstances and the circumstances of the family are simply not in her favour. Different matter though: does anyone remember when Caro married Stefano? I vaguely remember that it was around xmas. I wonder if they might have a civil wedding around that date to make the child legitimate and as some kind of link between Andrea and his dad....

^^Thank you, that´s what I thought about it, they have much respect for Rainier, and in some way, it was his decision and last desire that illegitimate children would not inherit.
Caroline married Dec. 29 1983. I don´t think they will be married after the child is born.

apparently Caro is full-on first lady duty, whilst the trash has gone back to her trashcan, waiting to get pulled out again pre-xmas...
Monaco celebrates Rights of the Child 2012
Monaco's celebration of International Day of the Rights of the Child, organised by the Directorate of National Education, Youth and Sports, has just ended with a show at the Auditorium Rainier III performed by 400 students from schools in Monaco. HRH Princess Caroline of Hanover honoured by her presence this beautiful event which took place before a large audience composed of the Monegasque authorities, teachers, students and their parents. They were able to admire songs, dances, and performance art built around the theme of the year - "A Better World". Ticket receipts were donated to two organizations, who each received €8,000: AMADE, the World Association of Children's Friends, a foundation for disadvantaged children, chaired by HRH Princess Caroline of Hanover, and "Interactions & Solidarity," chaired by Anne Faraggi for projects in Kenya concerning access to education, preservation of water resources and the protection of vulnerable children.
