I think he had more important things to cover up then that....there is areason why he stays on the grounds of the vatican rather then retiring to Bavaria as he had originally planned. Btw Barsis predecessor retired to the vatican too. Seems they have some sort of place there for retired bishops. I was joking paca, of course that's not the reason he stepped down. His staff are the ones who had to address the wardrobe issue. I think there is something in his past that might come to the surface in the not too distant future that warranted his stepping aside besides his health, and since the Vatican City is considered a city state, as long as he doesn't leave it, he can't be prosecuted. I also don't think he's going to live much longer anyway.

How about this? Just read on yahoo news....
"Of all the rumors floating around about just why Pope Benedict XVI is hanging up his camauro, one has taken on a life of its own. According to several well-placed vaticanisti—or Vatican experts—in Rome, Benedict is resigning after being handed a secret red-covered dossier that included details about a network of gay priests who work inside the Vatican, but who play in secular Rome. The priests, it seems, are allegedly being blackmailed by a network of male prostitutes who worked at a sauna in Rome’s Quarto Miglio district, a health spa in the city center, and a private residence once entrusted to a prominent archbishop. The evidence reportedly includes compromising photos and videos of the prelates—sometimes caught on film in drag, and, in some cases, caught “in the act.”

I highly doubt it would be prostitutes doing the blackmailing. If any of this were true, my money would be on something far more organized by the sounds of the filming in compromising positions business. Prostitutes want money, not the overthrow of the Vatican. I guess that would represent the last frontier in the Zionist attack on all things of great symbolism. Throwing down monarchy, then democracy now the Church and precipitating artificial outcomes. What will they ever build without destroying?

Although, it's been reported that the Pope has had a series of strokes and was thinking of retirement before he became Pope. I am thinking that after the popularity of John Paul II they needed an intermediary Pope, one that would stay just long enough to put time and space between that of John Paul in order for the Vatican to politically regroup? It's just a thought and a theory. JMO

Did A|C go to Rome for the last public audience of Pope Benedict XIV?

looks like she drove herself and no body guards around. Doesn't she usually have a truckload of them around her? In any case it's only a 4h drive (max) and she is probably no going the permitted speedlimit.

Did A|C go to Rome for the last public audience of Pope Benedict XIV? Wishful thinking... Farewell Benedict. Like you said, God won't let his flock down even if all else fails.

Given how humble and worldly this Pope is, I'm pretty sure he'll size these two up pretty quickly. They won't be able to suck up to this one. He'll have non of it. JMO.

I cringe at the thought of what she will wear and what she will say ... but, I'm sure it will begin with "Ohhhhh ...." and a bit of a side head bob. Asshole!

she won't have to say anything. SHe will just have to get through mass without making too much of a fool out of herself. She will be sitting among people who have been Catholic all their lifes and probably believe in it. So they will notice that to her it is only a PR thing and not a matter of conviction. Funny was the article about Barsi hoping to see this pope in MC. Ain't going to happen. He has more important matters to handle and he is already 76, so I don't see him travelling like JPII. They are lucky to get an audience, but as I said I am sure for the near future he will be otherwise occupied....

What would a pope preaching a church for the poor and a poor church have anything in common with greedy rich Monaco?! I hope Barsi gives up waiting.

Yeah, he does have a sense of humour though so he might just go to MC to listen to Barsi going on about the Carara marble statue of himself he wants in front of the cathedral. ANd don't forget he wants it coming with him sitting on a horse. A bit like St Nick. I have to say that at first I thought he was joking, but then he kept on giving specifics for the next two hours in a hot bus with a broken airconditioning.... he was sitting next to a devout Catholic in front of me, but even she said, she was close to murdering him. Lucky for us he chose to return to MC in a Porsche...

so much about being allowed to wear white.... looks like only Paola wore cream. Anyways trashy still looks somewhat displaced amongst all these people. Even protestant Merkel looks more comfortable. As to Albert, although he is dressed alright, he is looking out of place too IMO. trashy seems to be rubbing off. they seem to be so much in their own bubble that they seem disconnected from the rest.
