Some misinformed French journalist thinks Little Mo broke protocol. This was not a state visit, it was Epsom and he is a (mini-) sheikh therefore the equivalent of an aristocrat. Entre aristos...

Is that the same woman who said at the opening of the parliament that the Brits should live more frugal? Meanwhile the Tories cut housing benefit for the poor.

www.thecrownchronicles.co.uk/queen-not-moving-to-new-york-despite-rumours/Phew, she is not buying a flat in NY. Imagine if she did, I think many would be angry in the UK. ‘The Independent’ reports that a further search suggested the building was actually signed for by the New Zealand government’s new UN ambassador, Gerard van Bohemen, the new permanent representative to the UN for New Zealand. It is thought that because The Queen is still Head of State in the Commonwealth nation, her name has appeared in the documentation.

I read a headline that my bestie might have Alzheimer's. Here's what to do: take cod liver oil capsules. The oil breaks apart the plaques that form on the brain. As well, bestie, ban wifi use within a huge radius of You. Those airwaves exacerbate the normal functioning of any brain. You can slow down that disease. Carry on!

My bestie proves she's a woman's woman. She'll stick it to the Chinese to prop up and commend a female officer for her hard work. She called Chinese diplomatic staff "rude", in a private conversation at a garden party. The little I know and few Chinese I personally know, seem to me to take zealous pleasure in being iconoclasts. It's not a flaw, but their disregard for others' personal space and singlemindedness sometimes gets taxing. Otherwise, many more are good Christians and lovely. www.bbc.com/news/uk-36263685

God bless my bestie. Here she is straightening out William who was having a Diana moment on the official balcony, turning it into the nursery. Priceless. www.celebitchy.com/490913/the_queen_scolded_prince_william_for_kneeling_on_the_palace_balcony_/No place for pablum! Lol Sigh She rules! It does bring questions about the succession. Like some other of my ideas, I better come out here and say: leave Britain to William and Canada to Charles. Not that I have anything against the English. Charles is very environmentally-conscious. He'd get along with David Suzuki. Just a thought. As per Ascot, one of her horses had to be put down which is a shame and Dubai's Godolphin Stables are having a great crop of wins. Love the pageantry.

Oh bestie, what do we make of Brexit? I'd like to joke as a French-Canadian and make you laugh that England is the one turning out separatist now, but it would be no comfort. What do we do now that the room got smaller and in it are still those pesky usurpers who not for one minute do I believe are not profiting from the uncertainty somehow. In theory, you have us to trade with and supply you. But it won't be until the dust settles that we shall see what happened. Brace yourself and carry on, QE. God save you. . . . I like this op/ed: www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jun/25/london-separate-city-state-leave-voters-classAlso excellent: www.telegraph.co.uk/men/thinking-man/a-disunited-kingdom-why-brexit-britain-is-as-divided-as-europe-i/Not to be self-interested and opportunistic but this might be a good time to deputize me, bestie. You don't want your insurance, Canada, to use your vulnerability as leverage. The country is currently in the wrong hands. But you'd have to hurry, I'm taking exile south to recoup, unless of course you need me to keep the crown warm.

Congratulations to HRH QE2 on a record-breaking 65th anniversary on the throne! For being an enduring symbol of soft power, for being a source of comfort to many, for bearing with criticisms and providing constancy throughout an era of hectic change - all with great style. There won't be another woman quite like you.

Prince Philip is to retire from royal duties after August: BBCMuch ado about nothing and confusion with an emergency staff meeting that turned out to be a normal yearly staff meeting. (or so they say) No deaths, no divorces, no marriages, just a 95-year-old retiring. Good luck to him.
