Charlene must be filled with joy ;D LOL Welcome back Emmeline! Isn't it a little odd that there's no pic of the baby, nor name either?

Yes, I think they will be publishing a photo of the baby and the parents soon. Together with the name of the baby.

Bern is reporting that the boys name is Sacha. I kind of like it

I wonder if Sacha is a diminutive of something?

Sacha is a short of Alexandre. Russian is Sasha. This could be an hommage to Sacha Guitry en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacha_Guitry I don't think that it is meant as a reminder to Albert that he has a son named Alexandre....

closer referencing Bern. Somehow I think the remark about him announcing it, is a bit snite. Like , yeah royals have the palace announce the name, they have a TV guy. Although the palace issued a statement about the birth, it seems rather terse. A bit like the statement about the engagement. It all seems to point at Caro having to fight to get things done properly. www.closermag.fr/content/78158/decouvrez-le-prenom-du-petit-fils-de-caroline-de-monaco

Paris Match also writes about the hippie marriages again? what is the problem with it? We live in 2013. Let them do what they want (it will be real... not fake JMO).
I also think that there are problems around the name / Palace? But it is solved by Caro. Twitter ... it is quite modern :-)

still, Bern announcing things for her...hmmmm...has an odd taste to it. I know Caro is very smart and probably knows better then anyone how to fight these things with some dignity, but it makes the palace look petty. Rainier never would have done it tis way. Ever. Not after everything Caro is doing for the family and especially not since sheis direct heir.

Maybe they did not want to give too much attention to the baby.
With twitter it is faster -than the palace- and more people hear it. ;D

Yes, I think that is their idea. Caro is much more conservative and into protocol. She had her lover sit at a different table when Rainier was alive. With her kids she is more relaxed. But still she made an official announcement through the palace. IMO trashy didn't want the palace to announce it. Maybe she thinks as long as the baby officially doesn't have a name or isn't officially announced, it doesn't exist. it just is very unprofessional. Albert and PR need to have unwavering rules about how they handle communication in these matters. Especially since both sisters have been in the public all their lives. So there is an interest and they need to make proper statements. Charlotte and Pierre are bound to head the same road one of these days, so they need to clear that quickly. Otherwise they will only further the talk about family problems.

Man's defender could also be Monaco's defender? Interesting choice for a name. Adds a little intrigue to the occasion.

Not after everything Caro is doing for the family and especially not since sheis direct heir. It might have to do with Albert and his ego or Charlene not having produced an heir yet. If it had come directly from Caroline, I think there may have been some noses out of joint. I agree Rainier would never have allowed it, but Caroline is shrewd and it could well have been that by doing a tweet there was nothing Albert and his cronies could do about it. JMO.

I don't know, it sounds all too odd, letting Bern say via twitter that baby's name is Sacha. Also, i can't imagine a Prince Sacha de Monaco. But...i couldn't imagine a Charlene de Monaco back in the day, so...

;D Still don´t like the sound of Princess Charlene. Sacha is cute imo. But I wait for a more official statement and there is also the christening.

Well, should he become prince, then he would call himself Alexandre. Besides I suspect it is only one of several names. As they are not married yet and the child was born in London, I think that the child would be named for now Sacha SantoDomingo, which sounds actually quite nice. Sacha Casiraghi, not so much. But anyways I think there will be more then one name, so what name he will chose as prince, if he ever becomes prince, is up to him. QEII father was named David and became George, so.....who knpws, maybe trashy will pop out an heir. ANd Albert could still try to get his children to succeed too, if he wanted to. But I think he will die a sudden and early death, before he can get these matters settled and then it is up to Caro.

People interpret this now as a sign that Andrea doesn´t wants to be a Prince and Albert will have his own child (or can have children), so no regal name needed. Was Grace a typical name for a Princess? No. Charlene, hell no!
