The Gran Prix begins Thursday. I wonder how many parties Fat Al will attend. Will Trampy attend anything? Stay tuned!

That's not much better than Lindsay Lohan... Where are all the glamourous heiresses? The Delavignes or what's that Italian jewelry designer whose parents were at one of Monaco's balls this year? Plus Lewis Hamilton , the biggest wet diaper for a car racer there ever was. Zero charisma that guy. It's not going to be a very sexy Grand Prix. At least we can expect Pierre and Beatrice.

From today's Riviera Radio (weather could be a REAL factor):
Monaco Grand Prix - Lewis Hamilton has signed a new 3 year deal with Mercedes that’s thought to be worth up to 27 million pounds a year. The double world champion has been with Mercedes since 2013 and won his second title last year. He had been linked with a move to Ferrari but speaking in Monaco on Wednesday, Hamilton said that staying with Mercedes is definitely the right move. Meanwhile, another double world champion says that Formula 1 has been getting it all wrong and that rule changes set for 2017 prove it.
Fernando Alonso says that if the changes happen then the sport will be getting back the same rules that it had 7 or 8 years ago which suggests that the last four or five years have been a mistake. The McLaren star says that it’s vital for modern Formula 1 machinery to be made faster but Martin Brundle from Sky Sports F1 HD doesn’t think that a return to V8 engines is the answer.
The Monaco circuit was closed at 7am this morning with Formula 1 first practice between 10am and 11.30. We had some very heavy storm activity here in the early hours but the weather system appears to be moving away and although more showers are possible there should be some sunshine too.
Later today there’s GP2 practice between noon and 12.45 and then second practice for Formula 1 is between 2 pm and 3.30. Qualifying for GP2 is at 4.15 and then practice for the Porsche Supercup is at 5.30 before the circuit opens again to the public at 7.30.

Here they explain that Paris Hilton drove in from Cannes before a party with that lizard looking jeweller who's brought in before Tara Reid among washed-up celebrities and Hilton decided to crash the soccer game flanked by four body guards no one knows why. Sounds like anything for a photo op with Albert even if it means ambushing him. She's got more balls than a fangirl that one! Pity she looks older than her aunt Phyllis Diller. Ugh, that mouth! Still more natural and engaging than CC

I guess Bernie would rather chip in to buy his daughter another house than to pay the government! From today's Riviera Radio: The Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has been to court in an attempt to have a 1 billion pound UK tax bill quashed. Mr Ecclestone, who’s 84, has been in charge of Formula 1 for 40 years. The amount in question is reported to be for the period between the tax years ending April 1995 and the 5th of April 2005. Mr Ecclestone’s lawyers have applied for permission to seek judicial review. They say that following a 2008 settlement, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, HMRC, should not have attempted to make a fresh assessment. On Thursday, High Court judge Mr Justice Kenneth Palmer ruled that one Mr Ecclestone’s grounds for review was ‘arguable’ and ruled that his application should be stayed while his legal team pursues alternative proceedings in the Commercial Court. Bernie's little girl is flipping the LA home of 3 years and packing back to London! www.tmz.com/2014/07/28/petra-ecclestone-selling-holmby-hills-l-a-estate-aaron-candy-spelling/

Albert with Nico Rosberg for an interview. I didn't know Rosberg was Monegasque? Huh! Anyways, in the video you can tell Albert likes this part of the job Comme deux mecs au bar

Rosberg is German. His father is Finnish. He grew up in MC though and went to international school at the port. He was a classmate of my former bosses son, who was in his karting team when they both started out.

Anyways, in the video you can tell Albert likes this part of the job Comme deux mecs au bar Clever, according to google translate, FatAL just had to throw in the "bobsledding BS." I guess we'll be hearing about bobsledding BS forever now.... yawn. (Nico's a cutie.) You can bet that due to insurances clauses, Nico will not be allowed to engage in bobsledding and risk any unnecessary injury! The article doesn't seem to mention his team (unless i missed it) but they are holding a Petronas helmut. Oh, just read online that it's Mercedes. I'll be cheering for Nico!

tops Albert tries to get Nico to volunteer for charity bobsledding with his team of slower "oldies" so it would be safe. paca Nico doesn't allude much to being German but plays up the Monegasque connection. I can't believe he addressed Albert with the familiar "tu" but then, maybe that gives away that he's not native PS: Nico is "hot"-ish. He's bit too pretty for me but he's certainly more handsome than Lewis Hamilton.

Hmm .. it seems that Trampy is over her minimalist phase in both make-up and jewelry. I think I even spy her engagement ring. Is it just my eyes or is she like 2 feet taller than everyone else?!

Bernie Ecclestone is trying to give her just a proper handshake and his body language seems to say: we're okay from here, as she leans in a bit aggressively. Who's the guy in the first photo? They're going in for a bodycheck it seems, she all hardfisted while Albert is not finished with the introduction. It's a bit contrived. Pity we're not seeing her greet the women (in a normal way). Jean Todt is riveted in place. Where's his gorgeous Chinese actress wife? The courtyard is certainly beautiful, what a nice idea though no one is waiting on people with trays of food and drinks. Odd.
