isn't it amazing margarita with all the pomp and circumstance of the brits it still didn't come off as them being snobs. yes, they have $$$$$ but i believe they all came off appropriately. Including the Middletons contributing about a Million of their own hard earned dollars. The palace has professionals running the show, and the Queen is not stupid. Thus we all witnessed a lovely, tasteful event. Albert now has all his incompetent flunkies and two new hires --- wedding planners and the 7 million dollar PR flunkie he hired a while back. All the kings horses and all the kings men can not put this wedding together again. Now all they need to go wrong is the weather. It could be either extreme heat or a monsoon. I wonder if that has ever happened in Monaco in recent years. LOL I remember one year the end of year performance had to be cancelled due to downpours. briefly afterwards we had sunshine again, but the distance from school to home I got so drenched that I went straight into the shower to finish it off. btw I was wearing all white and you can imagine what rain does to white clothes...I was so happy that everyone else was only running to get somewhere dry, so I was spared total embarassement..... besides it has been very dry these past weeks so there is a possibility...also it is more likely to rain in the afternoon then in the morning. we often have bright mornings and then around 3 or 4 clouds start coming in, sometimes resulting in thunderstorms all night and then another brilliant morning...we've had that happening a few days in a row too these past years...

A major part of Monaco's PR machine is the "Albert and Charlene road show" that the tourism office has been doing across the world. Well now they have resorted to paying travel reporters to come to Monaco an they I guess write glorifying reports. The tourist office were in Australia recently and here's a link to a Sydney Morning Herald article from a travel reporter who noted: " Anthony Dennis travelled courtesy of the Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Authority and Singapore Airlines." Clearly, Anthony hasn't been following all the details about the wedding nor Charlene closely because he didn't get the memo about he change in dinner venue and Charlene's nasty comments about the people in Monaco was done in an interview with Tatler magazine and only reported in the Telegraph. But, whose going to turn down a free trip to Monaco and stay at the "posh" Hotel Metropole. I've been joking that Monaco will have a rent-a--crowd for the wedding, now I don't think it's a joke anymore. They will do anything to have a crowd for the photos and television images. Anything.

Looks like they are getting more and more desperate with every day. Would be fun if someone created a "rent-a-crowd" fake website and then have someone who gives a hint to the master minds of the PR-team. And then make it public that they bought it ;D ;D ;D

They (the Palace, Albert and WC) will do anything to get the perfect video of the wedding. There will be thousands of cameras all over Monaco to ensure they have enough footage for editing and creating a perfect PR video for Monaco that will be used over and over again for the next 50 years (or at least for the length of the marriage). WC needs that video because that is what she will be watching every night before going to sleep (something like Osama watching his old/glory days videos while hidden in his dusty hole). So, they will rent the crowd (or if they have to they will round it at the gun point), WC will be dressed in the most beautiful dress wearing tiara, Albert will be wearing spandex under his suit and will be fake smiling...and everything will be perfectly done for the cameras. After which the French famed TV producer will cut and edit the footage to the perfection and narrate it with a sugary pathetic love story of the two souls from deferent continents who were searching for one another for decades and finally despite the huge differences and unbelievable obstacles...their love had finally prevailed and they were united into one. AHHHHH, what a glorious fairytale story...what a glorious mockery!

I just learned today that the centre de presse is in the possession of a department called Magazines. Does anyone know what they do? Do they liaise with bribe and write stories for magazines or do they minutely read every magazine and report on what is written about Monaco & Co? To sue a magazine means you have (to have someone) to read it first.
And do they have a department called Forums? And a department of Misinformation?

LOL lets see how they are selling...I think they do publish the number of sold issues from the previous edition in the follow up. It would be interesting to check if in comparison the number has gone up or was stable. That would be a good indication of whether they are a good draw for the 50+ generation which I believe is the average age group they are selling to.

The PR-efforts for this wedding remind me more and more of the efforts of a company to launch a new product like a car or a boat. All that is missing now is more technical details like:
Technical data of product/flagship AC: To be provided yet
Weight and height Shoe size Attention span IQ Vocabulary Languages CV with proof (documents) Carbon footprints Lies Good deeds Amount of money given to charity Number of photo sessions Number of interviews Worthwhile information given in interviews Number of people pissed of by them Number of people manipulating them Number of pictures where they hold hands
To be continued
All that is missing is a deck of cards with a lot of this kind of information of the lovebirds and “cute” pictures.
I forgot one: Fertility rate per minute

Elektra! Very funny idea. Facts and figures about CW. Good start for jornalists who do homework: Technical data of product/flagship AC: To be provided yet Weight and height - Shoe size - huge! Attention span - as long as a photo flash: Mrs. W. look here!BUFF. IQ - 70 maximum (still enough to con Albert) Vocabulary- uuhm, ooohhh, gosh, you know, I I I I I I, me me me me!! Languages - English (level of 10 year old), Africaans (a language not used to communicate in sciences) - at least to my knowledge) CV with proof (documents) - Carbon footprints - uncountable Lies - see: carbon footprints - The biggest lie: "I respect Albert." Good deeds - Amount of money given to charity: minus costs for outfit & surgery, visagist, charity received as object of charity: -5.000.000 Number of photo sessions - see: carbon footprints Number of interviews - (Number of interviews without being late or talking nonsens: zero) Worthwhile information given in interviews - I am workshy. Number of people pissed of by them - see: carbon footprint (the problem is less the quantity but ... the quality of people = Number of people manipulating them - Number of pictures where they hold hands - you mean where her (?) huge male hands grap the hand of Albert when seeing a camera? some. Really holding hands: can't think of one.

You forgot the number of previous boyfriends; number of previous engagements; number of undergone abortions; number of days on which one's done an honest day's work; amount of affection for adoptive country (0); number of full days spend in adoptive country; amount of affection for future hubby (-150);
well, I'll think of more....

Rainier tried to teach Albert to make himself scarce. Obviously Albert never understood the reason. When Rainier attended somewhere, he did not need to tell people it was special, because it was. People ran after aging Garbo and DIetrich, because they were not seen. There is nothing special about sth that is available every day and even less when it is thrown at you when you don't even want it. No one would want to eat chocolate if it was force fed to them. If you talk all the time, no one listens when you really have sth to say. These people are so desperate to drum up attention for their wedding that they forgot all basic rules of effective PR. The best way to get people not interested in you is to be constantly in the media. Kate did not give interviews to anyone before her engagement. So when she actually did talk, people were eager to listen, just to know what her voice sounds like. It did not matter what she said or how she said it. Trashy blabs all the time and if she doesn't her moronic family does. they are like a bunch of ugly teens that got ask for a date by the quarterback, who is an idiot himself, but he is the quarterback, so you have to scream omg omg omg and call everyone you know and don't know. At best people think you are ridiculous, but most people won't stop at that.

I'm just wondering what they would do PR wise if it turned out that Kate was pregnant just before the Canada visit and all media would be babybelly watching. No one would pay any attention to Monaco anymore

You could keep all interviews separate and if people like you could have a thread where we can compare the interviews or point out her contradictions and lies.
