Please do not start a new thread for every single article, link or photo that you find, especially about the wedding!
We have nearly a hundred different threads for wedding related events and topics that arose because of it. There is NO need to start a new thread for every single article - unless the article reveals a topic that we haven't discussed yet. Please be considerate of the organization and management of the board. yes, your topic gets seen immediately instead of placed among several other posts, but this is only a temporary gain, because the boards will be crowed with hundreds of threads with just a few replies.
*** Although this announcement is old, I am recycling it because it is still pertinent. ***
Royal Opinions has gotten off to a wonderful beginning with a high rate of active members and an outstanding 144 topics (threads) in the first two weeks alone! The starting of threads and posting of opinions by members are essential tasks for Royal Opinions's success, thus every member has the ability to start new threads. As we grow in both members and topics to discuss, some "thread starting" etiquette is essential also.
In the next week or so, please don't be alarmed if some of the threads that you started are no longer recognizable. Some of the titles of the threads will be changed and some threads will be merged with others. Unfortunately, there is no mechanism to note when all posts from a thread are moved to an existing thread.

- As the name implies, Royal Opinions is an opinion forum, so please assure foremost that the topic of your thread warrants ample opinions to be shared. There is a general news thread for each family (or there will be), so your topic may be suitable for this thread instead of starting a new thread.
- Before starting a new thread, please check that there are no existing threads discussing the same topic that you want to discuss.
- Once you do start the thread, choose an appropriate subject (title) of your thread that describes the topic of discussion. If you have an interesting article that you believe warrants a separate thread but alone may not warrant an ample discussion, choose a title for the thread that may include future articles or news items.
- For the first post in a thread that may include future articles, please only include a description of the intent/subject/purpose of the thread. Then in the second post, include your specific item for discussion. Therefore in the future, the admin will have the ability to include a summary of all the different topics discussed in this thread for easier reading for current and future members. see this post as an example.
- Please do not start a thread if you have nothing to include in it. If you have a general question or topic of which you are trying to find out more information, please ask it in the general news thread or a thread about a similar topic.
- As an author of a thread, try to provide as much information as you can to spark discussion and/or pose questions for opinions. Please remember to at least provide a summary or an excerpt to an article as opposed to just the link. Sometimes, links are no longer available.
