Well we know from previous articles that the Albert and Charlene wedding souvenirs are on the way - in time for the mad rush of tourists during the Grand pix. But, according to Monaco shopkeeper Dorothy Zanatta, the tourists are getting anxious to buy these souvenirs - they keep asking where are they! Soon a thing of the future royal wedding May 4, 2011
Visitors also enjoy bringing trinkets and clothing. They will shortly buy mugs, plates and necklaces bearing the initials of Albert II and Charlene Wittstock Caps, t-shirts, magnets or key chains. The radius of memories, no doubt, the choice is wide. On the Rock which focuses many shops, the displays are full of gift ideas for tourists wishing to bring a present to their family of their getaway Monaco.
For the moment, nothing is offered in direct link with the royal wedding. Albert II and Charlene Wittstock exchange their vows on 1 and 2 July. During May, the shops will be the range of products designed specifically for the event.
Mugs, plates and collars. Hay portrait of the future spouses, but a discreet gold engraving their initials on a banner.
" Tourists regularly ask if we have mugs bearing the image of the prince and his bride. We will receive but no picture, so, I fear that buyers are a little disappointed not to find products with their faces , "predicts Dorothy Zanatta Shop Santa Cecilia.
In shops on the Rock, sellers often have the same answer to the visitors. They are likely to want a souvenir that displays an image of the bride and groom. However, it is already possible to purchase the official photo of the engagement of Albert II and Charlene Wittstock.
Dice for the Spaniards, Italians plates for
During the holidays, tourists still had plenty of choice to the range of products available in specialized shops.
Traders willingly confess little habits inherent in every nationality. The French are not big consumers, not the most friendly. In this regard, the prize goes to the Anglo-Saxon and the Japanese, " but speed too nice . " Italians and Spaniards for their kind of talkative.
However, all spend time loitering at the option of shelving. The choice of gift is not by chance.
Right now, the Grand Prix made recipe. Color red dominant manufacturers of cars that will ignite the asphalt in the end attract envy. Failing to pay the car, it will be the key ring bearing the image of the prancing horse.
Each country has its preferences. Trinkets and dishes, especially dishes with views of Monaco, inexorably end in neighboring Alpine.
Spaniards are particularly fond of dice-stitched while the French leave willingly with a t-shirt or cap, like the Americans. The English, meanwhile, enjoy the lavender bags and other soaps and mugs. The "cup of tea from Monaco" has good days ahead.
And the radius of the essential, key chains, lighters and more importantly, the snow globes.

I suppose they expect bus and cruise ship loads of tourists coming to MC to buy that stuff. Only 60 days to go to sell it with less media coverage than the wedding in Britain. Although a barf-bag with their picture on it would be kind of nice to have. But I do not think that the South African humour of WC ( oh my god - toilet-paper could be an option, too) will cover that.

It's funny the remarks about the French tourists...The French really look down on them. Most people I know will not be here if they can help it. No one thinks that Monacos economy will benefit in any sort of way from this wedding. Besides that they are making the same mistake they have made with the tour de France which was a total flop. those people who will come will come for the freebies. Nothing else. I think the Pr know it and that's why they are offering as otherwise they wouldn't have anyone for the camera: summer holidays are starting as of Friday and in Monaco Friday and Saturday will be public holidays, thus a lot of commuters and residents will take the chance to a long we and leave. Besides they keep repeating the word large crowds, which is the local signal for: get out if you can.

OMG Paca, I did not even think of that. You made me rofl because of the picture you created in my mind. And it does not go away just like the infamous pink elefant. Paca, what have you done! ;D But now I have a good picture to keep calm when I have an argument with my boss. Thanks!

The French really look down on them.So true! Remember on TV (FR2) Charlene said ‘she wants to get to know France’. LOL, I shaking my head from left to right. We do not like the current president, but we're not going back to the royals. Sometime I am sentimentally about royals but my intelligence knows better.

Thanks Paca for the articles. I'm sure Monaco wants to brag that they wanted their souvenirs to be classy and elegant - with no photos on them. But, in reality, they knew these souvenirs wouldn't sell in Monaco with Charlene's face plastered all over them. I wonder how many ordinary tourists will buy them at these prices. They are coming out with a commemorative 2euro coin - I wonder if it is the design that I posted on RoyalDish soon after the engagement. Royal wedding in Monaco: a swarm of official souvenirs May 12, 2011
For weeks, the tourists are in search of souvenir to bring their escapades Monaco. In the shops of the Rock, they are likely to demand products directly related to the royal wedding. Nothing is left to chance in preparing for the wedding, not even merchandising. However, that visitors can rest assured they will by the end of the month bring in baggage few articles dedicated to the event.
The objects are meant to "refined and elegant." Hay portraits, only included the initials "A" and "C" of Prince Albert and his girlfriend Charlene Wittstock. The production is vested in the company Revol. This family owned company based in St. Uze the heart of the Rhone Valley for over two centuries, is famous for its porcelain upscale. It is present in the kitchens of large hotels and restaurants. His credo: technique and aesthetics. What stick to the glamorous image of the Principality.
The product range will soon be offered for sale is the result of discussions between the Palace and Revol. The latter retained the forms from a catalog before drawing the illustration. The letters "A" and "C" intertwined are crowned with a wreath. Below is engraved wedding date, July 2, 2011. Sobriety is in order: gold on white.
Several items are offered including plates, mugs or champagne flutes. Rate side, the range will cost 15 euros, the keychain jewelry bag 25 euros and 37 euros phone holder. Store in a wallet, a commemorative 2-euro coin. Find the end of May, the period of the Grand Prix, in souvenir shops and soon on the Internet.

I love the wedding souvenirs. The plate is basically a white blank slate, and I especially love the jewelry roll. It's so perfect for the occasion. I'm sure Charlene picked it out personally. It's a symbol of what she views as important.

Here's the Monaco website where you can purchase the Prince Albert and Miss Charlene Wittstock wedding souvenirs. You need to hurry, because all the items are limited edition pieces. Below are the items that are available now for purchase. I guess the key chain is not ready yet, but it's nice, not that I would ever buy this mockery of the institution of marriage crap though.

These two have one of the longest engagement periods in modern history, but they still cannot get it together. This juke should have already been produced and on the street to be sold. Dates are changed; venues change; dress designers change. Albert has shown in full view his management technique and it is not positive. He cannot even plan a wedding; why would anyone think he can run a country? Everyone note that 'dumb-as-a-rock' Charlene has expertly executed her plan. She is firmly ensconced at Roc Agel. She has gotten her family moved from South Africa (it wasn't as hard as it might have been, they didn't move much of their personal possessions, content to allow Albert to buy new). She has remade her physical appearance (except for those damn pesky coat hanger shoulders), bought every item of clothing that she could find that costs over $1,000. Attended two royal weddings in the past year. She wasn't kidding when she said that she sets a goal and thinks of nothing else till she gets it. Maybe Albert could learn something from Charlene about accomplishing goals.

Will they melt these coins down and destroy them if the wedding is called off? This just seems like they are jumping the gun on putting the two of them on a coin, but may become a collector's item.

They look good for collection. She is looking more and more like a cross between Eva Peron and Grace after having a flu.
