Looks like the two lovebirds are trying to have a do-over during this South Africa visit. Getting out of the car and asking how she is, is Albert speaking the words he should have said when they left St. Devote and Charlene was crying. Kiss on steps, same thing. Don't think that it is going to erase the images from the wedding. Charlene doesn't look like a bride who was wanting to flee the wedding to me. She seems quite happy to be beside Albert during this trip.

Looks like they did try "the kiss" again. But -nope- he didn't get it. These two are insulting the International Day of the Kiss!

'Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse ... the "First Lady" of Monaco shows up inappropriately half-dressed for a call on the President of South Africa and The Cad attempts to kiss her and she turns her face.
I don't know ... obviously, I'm living wrong!

Here's a People magazine article about Albert and Charlene's South Africa Visit. Seriously, Obama doen't even close down a hotel to the public - but Fatal and Conlene do. What's funny is that Albert has been being Charlene (and thus her family) a dowry since she first hooked up with him.
Prince Albert: A Dowry for Bride Charlene?
BY PETER MIKELBANK AND KAREN NICKEL ANHALT Wednesday July 06, 2011
After the fairytale wedding comes the bill.
Amid tight security on Tuesday, honeymooners Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco arrived in Durban, South Africa, where they were greeted by the country's president, Jacob Zuma – who informed Albert he still needed to meet one local custom: a dowry for his South African-raised bride.
"It's a South African tradition that a man pays lobolo for a wife," joked Zuma, invoking the Zulu dowry custom of presenting a negotiated gift of cattle to the bride's family as proof that the bride will never go hungry. "So we expect Prince Albert to pay cows for his bride."
The couple, who married last weekend in a lavish ceremony, spoke briefly with Zuma at an International Olympic Organizing Committee cocktail party they attended after their overnight flight to the KwaZulu-Natal region's King Shaka International Airport.
While the bride, dressed in fitted black cocktail dress, looked relaxed and comfortable among friends at the reception, security for the former Charlene Wittstock on her first days as Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco has been strict.
According to local South African paper The Sowetan, "Law enforcement agencies kept curious onlookers away" at the airport. Their honeymoon hotel, the Oyster Box, has been closed to press and public alike.
"The couple asked us to make their stay as private as possible," hotel spokesperson Joan Hayes told the paper. "We are following their orders."
The royal newlyweds will be guests of honor Wednesday evening at a gala reception. Before that, they'll have another opportunity to work on that lobolosettlement – when Zuma sits them down to a private lunch.

This AFP article found someone in Durban to testify just how much of a huge following Charlene has in South African, specifically now Durban. Notice Charlene's distorted messed up face - I'm thinking 90-year-old Mavis woman and her daughter clearly have a sight problems. Trust me, is there were huge crowd (or any crowd) greeting these two losers - the palace photographers would have already plastered the images in every local media to prove what a success and hit their Princes and Princess are and the millions spent on their wedding as the country's programs suffer was worth it.. Oh, the kiss was at the request of the reporters - and Albert obliged them. Below is an excerpt from the article.
Monaco newlyweds lunch with Zuma on S.Africa visitBy Joshua Howat Berger (AFP) July 6, 2011
DURBAN, South Africa — Monaco's newlyweds Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene lunched with President Jacob Zuma on Wednesday, smiling for the cameras as they tried to move past "runaway bride" rumours.
After their weekend wedding in the Mediterranean principality, they arrived Tuesday in Durban, where Charlene used to train for South Africa's Olympic swim team.
...
The couple arrived all smiles for the assembled press, with Charlene in a white crochet dress, greeting reporters' questions with a simple "Fine, how are you?"
They shook hands with Zuma and his third wife Thobeka Madiba Zuma, smiled for the cameras and went inside for a late lunch.
"I'm very pleased that there has been this courtesy call. I had to pay for the fact that I did not go to the wedding," Zuma joked after the meal. Zuma was at the African Union summit last week and sent his tourism minister to the wedding in his place.
On their way out, Albert gave Charlene a kiss on the cheek -- at the request of waiting reporters -- before they left in separate cars.
...
"My golly, it had been only about 20 seconds after walking out that I saw this lovely tall person, from the rear. She then turned around and I saw it was Charlene," 90-year-old Mavis Warder-Griffin told The Star newspaper.
"She said hello and put her hand out to shake mine. It was really unbelievable, all a lovely, lovely surprise. What a delightful person. It was one of those unexpected events, and I am on cloud nine. I don't think I'll wash my hands, I?ve touched royalty."
Her daughter Meryl Marshall was also enthralled, saying: "Her beauty took my breath away. She was warm and friendly and will be a wonderful ambassador for South Africa."
Charlene's warm reception home has largely overshadowed reports of rumours that she had tried to flee to South Africa before the wedding, with newspapers instead running stories about "our royal couple".
Palace officials in Monaco said there had been a "hiccup" in the wedding preparations when Charlene learned that Albert may face demands for a paternity test after a claim by a former lover.

Oh goody!!! Just what they need to add to their GLAMOUR! Cow farts! One OF THE BIGGEST CONTRIBUTORS TO "GREEN HOUSE GASES" ON THE PLANET. Way to go Albert!

Charlene doesn't wear her marriage ring - at least not visible. I see only something that looks like her engagement ring on her left hand...

Actually if you look carefully you can see it, it's just that the wedding ring is so narrow/flimsy that it looks like a ring guard against the engagement ring- her wedding ring is being worn on the outside... I don't know why the rings are so narrow, but it must be some sort of tradition since i saw a picture of Rainier and Grace wearing similar rings.I would think a man would prefer a flatter wider ring on his hand. I do have to say that you really have to give PA credit for wearing a wedding ring. It is tradition in the CC I believe, but still... That was the one thing about PW & K wedding that I didn't like that PW didn't feel the need to wear a ring and the reason given that he doesn't like "jewelry" came off as shallow and stupid to me, that couples one wedding misstep IMO.

Hi Temporary - thanks for "detecting" that ;)and did already say: welcome ? Indeed - it is there. Maybe I don't know how rings are worn but ... when it comes to marriage and engagement rings: as fas as I know only widdows wear two of them on one finger. If their spouse died they put his/ her ring on their ring. Charlene wearing her engagement ring not on the other hand but on top of the marriage ring is somehow symbolic - at least to me. Her engagement time was surely much happier than her marriage - maybe that's the reason: she wishes to be rather engaged? And who remarked yesterday that she coveres her left hand in many pictures? If you look at the pic with the Japanese delegation: again. Strange.

Why the HELL is Albert wearing a Gold medal? He did NOT get any medals. In fact, his last race was so bad he threw a fit on the track? How DARE HE wear a medal like he earned it! It is a medal for being the honoray bribe facilitator of the IOC.

I have never been south of the equator, but isn't it winter in South Africa? Everyone else in the photos appears to have on sleeves, etc. with President Zuma appearing to wear a sweater vest. Charlene's outfit just seems out-of-place on so many levels. I don't know of any other Princess who would have worn a similar outfit to a luncheon with a country's president. I would think that South Africans would find it weird what she has on.
Oh well, not to besmirch Benoni, but I guess you can take the girl out of Benoni, but not Benoni out of the girl.
