This thread is dedicated to any information about Charlene's family, including photos, news, interviews and comments to the press. This thread is not directly about Charlene and her news, photos, and interviews). Please feel free to comment on them. Eventually, we can populate the thread with previous interviews. Contrary to what some say, the Wittstocks (especially Charlene's father) have given several interviews to the press. I'll keep a running tally on this front page. Here's the latest comments given to the press by Charlene's father Michael Wittstock. Any opinions about Mr. Wittstock's fighting in the Rhodesian Bush War (the white-minority with the support of South Africa fought against Robert Mugabe's Zimbabwe African National Union and Joshua Nkomo's Zimbabwe African People's Union)? Mixed blessing since the gaining of the black-majority suffrage and power ushered in Mugabe's corrupted regime? Does it make him a racist because he fought for the continuation of the status quo or just a patriot? Any opinions about Mr. Wittstock joining his wife and son who are already living in Monaco (now Charlene says they are living in France )? Does it really matter who Mr. wittstock is since it seems that Charlene has cut clode ties with him? What's your opinion about the reporter's comment in the caption "In THE BAG?" Please feel free to voice any opinions that you may have. *** From the Sunday times *** Precious wartime jersey given to royal son-in-lawApr 10, 2011 2:25 AM | By LIN SAMPSON ________________________________________ Prince Albert of Monaco has an unusual gift hanging in his wardrobe - an army jersey worn over three decades ago by the father of his bride-to-be, Charlene Wittstock. ________________________________________ Wittstock, 32, a former South African Olympic swimmer, will wear a dress designed by Giorgio Armani when she weds the 52-year-old head of the Grimaldi dynasty. Born in Bulawayo, she is the daughter of Michael Wittstock , a computer-business operator, and Lynette Humberstone, a former competitive diver. She was brought up in Benoni, Gauteng, where her parents still live. Her father this week confirmed that he had given his future son-in-law his most precious possession, a British pattern army jersey he wore in the Rhodesian bush war. He said his gift to Prince Albert was "a ribbed jersey with a patch on the shoulder where you put the rifle, and patches on the sleeve. I knew he would like it because he loves hunting." Prince Albert met Wittstock at an international swimming event in Monaco in 2000 and, according to friends, instantly fell in love. Her father said "people are all very excited over there" about the wedding, but, as for plans to move to their daughter' s new home, "we have talked of living in Monaco, but I am a real South African boy". He said beautiful girls seemed to hail from Benoni. "Charlize Theron lived just down the road. It can't be anything in the water, because the water is contaminated!" *** IN THE BAG: Prince Albert II of Monaco with Charlene Wittstock. Albert, son of the late Prince Rainier and the late Hollywood actress Grace Kelly, is to marry former South African Olympic swimmer and swimsuit model Wittstock Picture: REUTERS The royal couple are to be married in an extravagant cere-mony at the prince's palace in Monaco on July 1 and 2.

What a fantastic spokesperson he is. The water is polluted. What is he doing to help that? Complaining? Buying bottled water while the poor people drink the polluted water.

Hmm if her mother is living in Monaco/France and he says he is a South African boy have they quietly separated? It seems that way huh. The mom stays with the dad all these years, but once Charlene hit the jackpot, mom AND her son head for gold in Monaco. All these people know a sucker when they see one.

Myadia, it's good that you're tracking those interviews so we can keep evidence how tacky and vulgar this family is.

It is a bad interview (it runs in the family ;D) Who gives a jersey that he wore in the Rhodesian bush war? That’s so negative… ‘fell in love in 2000’ (his daughter is 20 years old and Albert…) No problem for dad.. ‘the water is contaminated’ Great promotion for South Africa… In the bag to win…. Maybe the article/dad can not say: The Wittstock's game: in the lead -the game is in the bag- and cannot be lost. ‘Olympic swimmer and swimsuit model’ She is a swimsuit model??

Seems that daddy Wittstock believes that because she has been in Sports Illustrated in 2001, and has been the center of that crappy photoshoot for Tatler in the Palace, Charlene is a model...

Thank You Emmeline! That’s probably what they’re thinking.
I have not seen the picture from Sport Illustrator. Does anyone have the photo? Maybe somebody remembers the month of publication?

So, the Wittstock may be moving to Monaco to stay after the wedding... ******************* Charlene Wittstock's family in limbo about moving to MonacoMike Wittstock, father to the soon-to-be princess of Monaco, Charlene Wittstock, is not sure if his family will move from Benoni to Monaco, to stay there permanently after her royal weddingMike Wittstock, the father of the princess-to-be said: "Final arrangements for the family have not been confirmed, but we are frequently communicating with the people at the palace about further arrangements. "I am not nervous about walking my daughter down the aisle as many news reports have stated before. "My wife Lynette has been in Monaco for a few months now and she will be there until the wedding. "At the moment we are not sure if we will end up moving to Monaco on a permanent basis, but the state of crime in this country (South Africa) and what happened to me recently is making me think otherwise." Mike was attacked by a group of men with firearms and hijacked in his own yard in February. The incident occurred just a few hours after lunch with his daughter, Charlene, who was in the country to take part in the Midmar mile. Investigations on his case are underway and so far the police have not arrested any suspects www.looklocal.co.za/looklocal/content/en/benoni/benoni-news-general?oid=4349727&sn=Detail&pid=40&Charlene-Wittstock-s-family-in-limbo-about-moving-to-MonacoBtw, they have chosen the worst pic of her on her trip to Ireland..

Thanks for the article Emmeline. Charlene has been playing with words (actually out right lying) in her latest interview to conceal the fact that her mother and her brother are living off of Albert. Charlene stated that they moved to France. Albert is too stupid to realize that he got himself hooked up with an entire family of grifters with the lazy scheming Charlene leading the pack. He doesn't want his own children living in Monaco, but he can take care of this entire con artist family. Notice how daddy Wittstock is putting down everything in South Africa - the water is contaminate and now the crime. Well, it was the same contaminated high crime area you lived in for thirty years until your con artist daughter hit the mother lode with the village Idiot of Monaco.
Good lawd Albert is so damn stupid! Forget the reasons Eringer states, Albert is a fool for allowing a dumb-as-a-rock high school dropout like Charlene scam him.

Btw, they have chosen the worst pic of her on her trip to Ireland.. They chose the right picture to accompany this article. In the below photo, Charlene looks the the scheming con artist bitch that she is. she came to Monaco without two pennies to rub together and a suitcase full of trashy clothes. Now she has this smug look on her face to let everyone know that she won - as she now sports attire that cost several thousands of dollars to each event. That particular jacket is by Akris and it retails for$3500. I think they chose the right photo to show now the entire family has made it to easy street. " I won you bitches"

I thought that the 'hand in the pocket' pose was just a little too cute. I guess I'm old-school, but walking/standing like this at a public event is frowned upon. Too unladylike, but it is Charlene. MyaDia, was it you or someone else on the RD who predicted that the Wittstocks would use his mugging as a reason for the whole family to move to Monaco?
