I am real intrigued about this braai business she keeps bringing up as she proclaimed to be vegetarian in that interview in February.
Grilled vegetables are delicious - but she is alluding to a bar-b-que me thinks!

I thought the exact same thing, Axelle. Where did I see that picture with a huge chicken/turkey in her mouth? Should have saved it....

Here's a short clip of Charlene's Top billing interview with Jo-ann Strauss. Lots of ass-kissing on Jon-ann's paort, which is really pathetic to watch. Something is truly wrong with this woman's mouth which is affecting her ability to speak like a human.

Love the presenter. If Albert was good enough for her I'd love to see Jo-ann as the Princess of Monaco. She is beautiful. I don't blame her for being a bit OTT with Charlene. That's the way all entertainment reporters are.

That's the way all entertainment reporters are.Sophia, you are quite right about entertainment reporter - they have to be over the top to pander to the celebrity's egos - and Charlene has an enormous one. And I also agree with you that Jo-ann is very beautiful - and she is well-educated and well spoken. I guess my problem with Jo-ann's demeanor with Charlene is rather tainted by some comments made by fans of Charlene on a South African news website reporting on the story. The comments are reminiscent of South African apartheid attitudes. To me, the posters' comments are implying that Jo-ann needs to learn to stay in her place when interviewing this prestigious white woman. Clearly, these people haven't seen the earlier photos of their trashy Princess Charlene. Actually, I think she looks quite trashy in this interview also. Here are the comments South Africa's Channel 24 article , which feel have strong racial undertones.
Betsie Ackerman - June 14, 2011 at 05:29 She is just beautiful! Senere Highness suits her well. I wish them both the very best of luck and happiness for the future. ChrissieM - June 14, 2011 at 08:14 Look how Jo-Ann pushes infront of Charlene in the second pic - get over yourself Jo-Ann! Armchair critic - June 14, 2011 at 14:05 Someone should teach South African presenters/reporters about protocol when having an interview with royalty or royalty in waiting as in this case. Look how improper Jo-Ann is dressed for the occassion

she is wearing her favourite SA trashdesigner. And that guy must have spent the past few years hanging with Granny to come up with sth like THAT. Very PR though to wear SA design for an SA interview.

What stupid comments.. BTW Idiots Charlene will never be Royal!! Royal is a HRH not HSH! The only Royals in Monaco are Alexandra and Caroline.

Actually neither are as there has not been any German Royalty for about 100 years now... Only Caro is princess, Alexandra is just Alexandra von Hannover or if she insists on a title it would have to be Alexandra Prinz von Hannover. And unlike what the Monegasques keep doing, since it is a name and not a title, it is not translated so it is always the German version. Everything else is an offense to German law and constitution.

“The rest of the royal family and the people of Monaco adore her. This was very obvious at the various events at the Grand Prix. Everyone wanted to chat to her.”
Jo-Ann says she can understand why people are so mad about Charlene and why they compare her to the late Princess Grace. “But I think Charlene will be a princess in her own right.” These comments were made by Jo-ann Strauss to YOU magazine (South Africa’s equivalent to People magazine) describing her interview with Charlene. For background, Jo-ann has hired in the past be the Mistress of Ceremony for several events in Monaco, including doing an event in Monaco just this past February. Ass-kissers who are looking for something in return like Jo-ann are the only type of people that you will find surrounding Princess Trashlene. The problem is that Charlene and all her flunkies do not understand that there is something called REALITY – which the other of us live in and in our REAL world Charlene is a big fat nothing with zero influence! YOU magazine cover for the week with Jo-ann’s comments in it is proof of it. South African Charlene - who Jo-ann professes that the world is just “mad” about – is only mentioned by name at the complete bottom of the cover. Whereas Kate is highlighted at the top with a photo with the subtitle – “World Loves Princess Perfect!”Here’s another photo of Charlene and Jo-ann (who Jo-ann is considering her old friend now) and the June 23, 2011 cover.

Here’s the online article of Jo-ann describing her interview with Charlene, you have tto buy the magazine to read the full article. I’ll pass on buying it to read the rest of Jo-ann’s ass kissing comments. But, can someone please explain to me why do people keep saying that Charlene hasn't changed not one bit, just because she hugs them Good lawd, these people kissing Charlene's flat ass are all complete morons. I am only hoping that Jo-ann is doing this yo further her show and ultimately her career and she doesn't actually believes this dribble she is saying. Seriously, anyone who has to use the lieks of Charlene to either further their career or endorse their product will always have a lackluster career and prduct.
My old friend, the princess
By Lara Atson Thursday, 16 June 2011
Jo-Ann Strauss was over the moon when she heard she was heading for the Prince’s Palace of Monaco.
Not only had she scooped an interview with the country’s future princess but she would have a chance to catch up with Charlene Wittstock, whom she has known for six years.
They chatted in the Salon des Glaces – a beautiful room in the Pink Palace containing a large portrait of Albert’s mother, the latePrincess Grace.
“It was really a wow moment!” Jo-Ann says. After their wedding ceremony on 1 July Albert and Charlene will step out onto the balcony of this room to greet their subjects.
Jo-Ann says Charlene hasn’t changed since they met years ago. “When she saw me she immediately came over and gave me a warm South African hug.”
The former Olympic swimmer also told Jo-Ann how smitten she is with Albert (53) and she can’t wait to become a mom. But she won’t forget South Africa and its people, she told Jo-Ann. “She said she’ll miss South Africa’s open spaces and scenery most.”
The visit to the Prince’s Palace of Monaco came about when Jo-Ann was on assignment in the principality in February and sent a request to the palace to interview Charlene.
Two months later she received an e-mail confirming the arrangement.
Everyone at the palace was most welcoming.
Charlene (33) has turned out to be a true princess, Jo-Ann says. “She’s very graceful and elegant.
“The rest of the royal family and the people of Monaco adore her. This was very obvious at the various events at the Grand Prix. Everyone wanted to chat to her.”
The people of Monaco are clearly delighted with the royal romance. Albert and Charlene’s wedding will be held nearly 55 years after Albert’s father, Prince Rainier III, and Hollywood actress Grace Kelly’s glitzy wedding in 1956.
“Charlene knows the eyes of the world are on her but she hasn’t changed,” Jo-Ann says. “People sometimes say she’s reserved but that’s because of her duties as a princess.”
Jo-Ann says she can understand why people are so mad about Charlene and why they compare her to the late Princess Grace. “But I think Charlene will be a princess in her own right.”

LOL she hangs with Charlene. Well I wonder which other princess would be referred to as hanging with..... I think that says it all. Even Di's letter have larger coverage then trashy in SA and that is her hometurf. And she get's kicked to the very bottom of the cover by a woman that has been dead for how many years now?

“Charlene knows the eyes of the world are on her "butt" she hasn’t changed,” Jo-Ann says. “People sometimes say she’s reserved but that’s because of her duties as a princess.” I just couldn't help myself! ;D

“Charlene knows the eyes of the world are on her "butt" she hasn’t changed,” Jo-Ann says. “People sometimes say she’s reserved but that’s because of her duties as a princess.” I just couldn't help myself! ;D Ok, my slip - BUT her butt is one of her only features that haven't changed! here's a photo of trashlene sticking her flat but out and Jo-ann Strauss marveling at how everyone just adore their future Princess Charlene. Jo-ann shadowed Charlene at the Grnad Prix -which I am sure Trashlene just loved - to show off her new riches and fame that she suckered Albert for. Jo-ann is next to the man on the right. I am always really amazed how people just heap praises on this silly con artist for doing things that everyone else does in the ir normal daily activities - GREET people! Jo-ann is in the fourth row behind Charlene - wondered who placed Jo-ann that far behind Charlene - her "old freind" (as Jo-ann thinks that they are). Perhaps Trashlene wanted Jo-ann to know how much higher in status she is now. In this photo, you can still see a profile of Jo-ann. I think all the cameras on Charlene must have really impressed Jo-ann and increased her kissing up to her. Also, this photo lets you know that Conlene is always aware of the photos and her antics of placing Albert's hands on her and her leaning on his shoulders - is just an act for the cameras - which she loves just as much as she loves herself.

Well, I have to say that my kids had a lot like that going after them during circus on the street a few years back, when everyone was waiting for Albert to finally show up and they were completely unfazed. Just continued doing what they did anyways. A guy with a TV camera pushed his camera for minutes right in my kids face, but he couldn't care less. And even during the show some of them kept coming back. I was a bit worried first on the impact that might have on my boys, but they think nothing of it. But then again they are used to people noticing them and taking pics of them since they were babies. I suppose if you always have that kind of attention you are less impressed and just keep doing what you are doing. I think that trashy never had any particular attention, unless she won sth at swimming. That's why she can't act natural as soon as she sees a camera. She poses straight away. Or stares right into it. If you have been in Monaco long enough and been at a few events, or just walked passed the Grimaldi Forum during TV festival, you know that the number of photographers has nothing to do with trashy, but the fact that they were there for the GP anyways. Just like they are for other bigger events. I have to say though that at the circus at the port they had more TV stations and photographers then for the Amber fashion; probably due to the lack of celebrities this year. There was no one worth photographing.
