Electric car for the bride
Prince Albert II of Monaco is considered to be good environmentalist. So the wedding gift for his fiancée is obvious: According to one report he is supposed to give Charlene Wittstock a Smart electric drive.

Paris - Perhaps it's not romantic in the traditional sense but a great role model: Prince Albert II gives his future wife and princess of Monaco, Charlene Wittstock, a Smart with electric drive. Reported the French magazine "Closer" in its latest edition on Friday.
Albert, Prince of Monaco since 2005, has been known for having written the protection of the environment on his flags. The 53-year-old and his South African fiancée will marry on July 1st in a civil and a day later in a religious ceremony. A hybrid car is to be used as the wedding car with which the 33-year-old bride is to be chauffeured.
For tourists, who want to take part in the wedding on July 2nd, there are many free offers - including ice cream and champagne. A brochure of the tourist board gives an overview. Events and activities on July 1st and 2nd around the wedding are listed. Many of the offers are free, says Visit Monaco in Hanover - for example, the concerts of the Eagles and Jean Michel Jarre on Thursday and Friday evening.
On occasion of the wedding visitors don't even have to pay anything for bus and boat tours and the entrance to all museums are free. On Friday on the east-terrace of the Marine Museum which will be decorated in red and white, visitors will get free ice cream all day long, in the shopping gallery of the Hotel Métropole a lot of merchants will give away champagne and pastries to customers.
In the shopping gallery in Fontvieille ladies can dress up with a "Princess make-up session". On July 2nd the religious wedding will be broadcast from the princely palace and a card explains where people can watch it on big screens.
However for the reception after the civil ceremony on July 1st, with breakfast and cocktails at the Palace square, only about 6,000 native Monegasques are invited.
