seems that it has flown entirely under the radar this year. Usually you have heaps of articles in MC matin leading up to it, but so far I haven't seen any. Maybe they cancelled it for lack of guests

Sadly, this once "crown jewel" of events has become a spectacle attended by B-grade personalities and wannabees.

B? you sure that is the right letter in the alphabet you picked? OMG, that's hilarious Paca! I think Monaco is now in the D-listers category. What's really peculiar is that they have not post a press release of the event describing the performer and decor theme of the event as they have in the past. This information is not even on Monaco's Red Cross website. Someone had mentioned to me months ago when they received an invitation that they were surprised that they sent the invites out earlier than normal. Also, I believed that they even changed the date further a week (i have to check). Something is going on ...,. and ids going on and it doesn't look good for Monaco.

MyAdia you are right that they moved it one week ahead. I think that they was planning having the honeymoon exactly one month.

At this point I dont think a list will be necessary They will take whom ever will pay the 1000euros (or whatever sum) for this event
I just hope that the money does go to the charity and not in the coffers of some 2bit moneygrabber scaming person

Still it seems to fly pretty much under the radar this year. btw I still think that D is the wrong letter in the alphabet. I'd start further at the end

Hey, perhaps someone is listening (or reading)! They just provided some updated info about the Red Cross gala - including the new president. Didn't ass-kisser Stephane Bern said Albert should give Charlene the red Cross patronage? In keeping with her other lies, I guess we will hear a speech from Conlene claiming that she has done so much work for the Red Cross even BEFORE she met Albert.
Red Cross Ball in the Salle des Etoiles
The Monegasque Red Cross Gala will take place on Friday 5 August in the Salle des Étoiles at the Sporting Monte-Carlo, under the Presidency of HSH Prince Albert II and HSH Princess Charlène of Monaco.
The Red Cross Ball is indisputably the high point of the summer in the Principality of Monaco. The largest charity gala evening in the world will bring together numerous celebrities and the greatest international stars of music and entertainment in the presence of the Princely Family.
Concert by Joe Cocker
Price 1,000€

The largest charity gala evening in the world maybe at one time but never again with flagship trashlene at the helm. i'm betting another big FAIL and Joe COCK"HER" just adds a little fun with a pun why do they keep getting these old rockers that need a walker to get to the stage. good grief, they're stuck in a time warp, joe cocker was just at a local casino not long ago, that's how i judge the "used to be, but now aren't's)

I wouldn't be surprised if Albert and Charlene rounded up (or even payed) a bunch of celebrities to attend this Red Cross Gala. The stakes are high for them and they want to try to show the people of Monaco - with images and not substantive changes - that their reign will draw tourists to Monaco. Expect something similar to what they did at the amfAR gala to drum up attention to themselves and their upcoming wedding - setting up a bid to make themselves appear the most important people there.
