The latest rumour is that the couple will, effectively, live in separate houses. According to French magazine VSD, Albert will remain at the palace, and Charlene at Roc Agel, a luxury villa owned by the royals in the village of La Turbie, just across the French border. With stunning views over the Mediterranean, it was a favourite retreat of Albert’s mother Grace Kelly. Villagers say Charlene has been a constant visitor since arriving in Monaco nearly five years ago. “She loves it here, she likes to walk in the hills,” says one local. “She’ll go off for the day with a backpack and friends, but you never see her with Albert.”Read more about the silent princess and the scandal that threatens to ruin her marriage in this week's Woman's Day, on sale August 15, 2011. [/blockquote][/quote] Why would she be buying a new house, then? I would say Albert will stay at Roc Agel and Charlene and her family will live in the new 3 million plus X million euro redecorated house.

Here's an Australian Woman's Day article which speaks more about Charlene having her separate home. They have some quotes from supposedly people who see Charlene all the time around La Turbie (where Roc Agel is) - without Albert.
Princess Charlene: secrets, lies and royal scandal
William Langley reports Monday, August 15, 2011
The principality is buzzing about what’s really going on between Prince Albert and his new wife.
They are calling her “The Silent Princess” – a pale, sad-eyed beauty who hasn’t said a word in public since murmuring “yes” to her husband on July 2. A month after the lavish wedding of Prince Albert of Monaco and ex-swimming champion Charlene Wittstock, doubts and suspicions still swirl around the couple. In fact, the Mediterranean realm was last week buzzing with talk that the royal pair will secretly live apart – and that their marriage is a sham intended only to produce an heir.
Feeding the rumour frenzy is the puzzling behaviour of 33-year-old Charlene. On her rare public appearances she seems – in the words of royal watcher Joelle Deviras - “distant and distracted”. When Albert, 53, summoned a group of journalists to issue an impassioned denial that the pair was unhappy, Charlene did little to help the cause, sitting expressionless at his side.
Asked by her husband if she wanted to add anything, the South African-born blonde shook her head, and quickly left the room. The fear now is that her silence may speak volumes about what is happening behind palace walls. Meanwhile, on the streets of Monaco, it seems everyone else is having their say.

of course she sits expressionless during a French language press conference: she does not understand a word that is said, so how do you expect her to have any sort of expression, when she doesn't know what has been said. Apart of course from the fact that her face is botoxed and lifted to the ninth.

Wait some more time and there will be rumors of lovers. She cannot live without "doing" it, can you Trashy?
lol Rainier´s office, what a sacrilege. She does nothing but what she is told to, she doesn´t have any duties, and they want to make it look as if she were busy!

I believe that she will be holding court at Roc Agel and Albert will stay in the palace and his new bachelor home. Her family already has their spot and she would never do with a 3 mill hut. You have no idea how small a 3 mill house is near MC. No decent garden, no privacy...nope she either gets it for Albert or as a setting up for someone else. Maybe that singer friend of hers. He needs a place for his family and surely would be willing to do a bit more then just write a song for her. He looks like the kind of guy who likes his women looking male...at least as long as they foot the bills

She may be just "stocking up" on "stuff" so she has valuables when she's finally thrown out to the curb. That's what I would do if i were her. I'd try to fill my coffers as full as I could knowing that soon the cash will stop flowing. Then at least she'll have some valuable property she can sell, and because SHE owned it she will be able to ask, and get more cash for it. In the meantime, she can use it for her visiting friends and family, etc. (She probably told PA that's what she needs it for - so the two of them won't have people underfoot all the time.)

Anybody know how the palace offices have been shuffled around? Albert had Grace's. Caroline had her own, who was in Raininer's before Charlene took it? Was it empty or did Caroline have it? What about Stephanies office?

This was Always going to be the arrangement if Albert married Charlene. It has always been a FORMAL business deal where Albert gets his freedom and Charlene gets the title and the Tiara that she has coveted. It is funny now just how literal she has always meant this--she did not waste anytime in getting a big picture of her in a Tiara....since Albert was not willing to fork over more to buy her a "crown" ;D because "He is rich enough that he could afford to buy one!" This girl really is a dumb as a box of rocks! ;D Yes, she really did express this...I bet she threw a fit and stomped her feet ro get Albert to buy her a Tiara. ;D I still can't believe she thinks she should have and expects to move into Rainier's office--I guess it tells you who is in charge there! The prince takes his mother's little office, while his wife who can't remember how to even spell her own name moves in to his father's office. Maybe it is telling how Albert never felt worthy of his own position he inhereited, but his mock wife has no probleme feeling entiteled. Can anyone imagine how Rainier is turning in his grave. along with Grace. It get's more disgraceful everyday--why didn't Albert just torch the place and get it over with, it would have been better than what he's done to Monaco now! Even Grace's memory they use to be able to rely on is over, now that it's been replaced by vulgar ignorant trash! Albert does deserve all he has coming to him--he might as well have married Tamara or Nicole--Albert seriously is out of his mind. I don't see how Caroline can stand to watch her brother destroy everything his parents worked for. No one will ever forgive Albert for this! The kids yes, this woman, this marriage--Never!!! Albert will never be able to recover now! he totally destroyed himself, and Monaco...at least for a very long time, that is if his advisers and the government are not already in on some kind of sinister plan to replace the Grimaldi monarchy. I really think this could do it.

So why bother at all...if Albert is already admitting they do not have a real marriage? This ought to endear themselves to everyone! And of course the mock princess, because that is what everyone had waited so long for in Monaco...a fake obnoxious paid for princess. ;D

I smell an exit strategy on the part of Trampolina. If this was anything but a sham marriage she would definitely not be purchasing additional property. The palace is large enough for the two people to get lost in and not run into each other every five minutes. After all, it's not a 3-room walk-up!

Mmm...what, a crisis already? Oh no, they live in crisis since the engagment. I wouldn't be surprised if Albert lives in the Palace and Charlene in the apartment.

I think that we could wait and see with this story about Rainier's office. Lilae are you hearing that she isn't getting Rainier's office? Do your contacts know if she's getting an office and if so where? Or is Albert moving into Rainier's and Charlene into Grace's?

Do your contacts know if she's getting an office and if so where? Or is Albert moving into Rainier's and Charlene into Grace's? Why don't they just give the office to someone who could use it! Charlene in this roll makes me laugh so hard...Charlene trying to play grown-up--I can just see her in her private office, still studieing her big folder! ;D I really do feel sorry for some of the people that work at the palace and have to work with her--they are the ones that are going to be writing a book .
