I think he fed that, probably by saying he wanted someone like his mother or by people assuming he went by the cliché of men wanting a wife like their mother. It's a euphemism for unconditional love, the type that keeps on forgiving that allows men to always mess up and never having to correct themselves. There's no challenge with that kind of relationship, presumably. For Albert, I think he likes CC on some buddy level. He wants her to succeed, because he identifies with her. Does he love her? Does any woman have a window into a man's heart? You can sometimes be so perfect on some level, yet not fly in real life. My last mate and I wrote poetry to each other, for years. We went through so many battles together, in separate hemispheres but today we're two people in search of an author like a Pirandello play but we have no road map to common ground. Albert opted for the mature course of accepting fate. And happy 4th of July, Tops! Does anyone recall that certain people urged Al to select Charlie because she looked like Grace? What a ridiculous reason to marry her. With all the global choices of beauty AND brains, and it had to be her. From that day forward, there were stylists for Charlie to copy Grace's gowns and photographic poses. There was also a phase for Charlie to copy Diana. Complete recipe for disaster.

Lol yeah, that's a true love kiss, right there. At least she managed to get rid of the 'you are so disgusting' expression she used to make when kissing him. Remember the balcony kiss after their wedding?

Even attractive couples demure from swapping body fluids in public. Kiss the babies, ok but keep some mystery! I feel sorry for the people who are standing close - C&A kissing... you do not do that...

I believe a lot of this public behavior (and optics) is choreographed by the publicist who gives them ques for PDA to puff up the articles. it' s all figured out prior to events.

Maybe she wants to skip the Red cross ball and had to give a public kiss instead, without a disgusted expressiin or the deal was off. Edited: just saw that the ball is finished. Then my guess is that they were afraid of people cancelling if they suspected only Albert to show up. Still, looking at the video, omg she has no charisma, just an insecure mannequin.

Hi everybody! Long time no see... Grace Kelly's cousin Christa Mayrhofer-Dukor has given an interview to the Swiss tabloid "GlücksPost". I couldn't find the original article only a German tabloid refering to it. intouch.wunderweib.de/charlene-von-monaco-schrecklicher-vertrauensbruch-76239.htmlChrista more or less confirms everything we said: After the wedding CC had a miscarriage! PA and CC were terrified that she would never get pregnant again and that's why they always looked so sad/unhappy. (I mean PA only hired CC to get an heir!) Then CC had IVF! That's why she practically disappeared during the pregnancy. She had to take care of herself to make sure that everything went well and PA finally got his heir. (I mean since the birth of the twins PA always grins like a Cheshire cat.) Apart from that they say that is was so difficult for CC to adapt to Monaco because of the partcularly strict court ceremonial. (Really?!) And she can't even trust her own family because Christa blabbed to the press. (So the usual BS...) I say: wait for the divorce in a coupe of years and the tell-all books that'll follow! I'm sure there are a lot of people who want to make money and they'll again confirm everything we said! I'm looking forward to it! Here another German tabloid called "Neue Post" claims that they asked the palace for a statement concerning the miscarriage but they said it's a misinformation! www.pressreader.com/germany/neue-post/20171025/282836486329294

Fascinating. But 25% of first pregnancies do end in miscarriage, it's an awful rate. Not helping is whether she had used steroids as an athlete etc. It would explain why she was so emotional at the wedding, if she was hormonal. Its sad, frankly. Hi everybody! Long time no see... Welcome back Taz!
I think she was just crumbling under the pressure when she cried at the wedding.

It's probably be the reason why she is still attached to Monaco and why she basically does nothing in the Principality. She had a hard time getting pregnant it would be cruel to get her apart from her children so quickly. Plus the kids need their mother, specially being this young. She'll be in Monaco some more years and then they will follow the path Grace and Rainier took: separate lives, Charlie mostly in France/SA and Albert in Palace.

I think they already live separately from day one in the marriage.
If she had a miscarriage - that's awful! But why is it being discussed now? a week before the National Day? to have sympathy because she's never in Monaco?
are they married because she lied to Albert...she said she was pregnant? or was she pregnant and she got a miscarriage during the engagement??
I want to have the tell-all book now!

Welcome back Taz! I think she was just crumbling under the pressure when she cried at the wedding. Remember she apparently had gotten busted trying to fly out of the country. Run-away bride, remember?? I believe she was placed on anti-depressants (commanded by the ones who invested millions for the wedding) to calm her and shut down her ability to flee again. Flight risk. That would have contributed to her weirdness.

You must be right. Besides, her PR people would have long exploited that, however unfortunate. It would have been trivialized in a Paris Match story. As per Casiraghi babies stealing the show - babies always steal the spotlight. I doubt it's deliberate. With "troll armies", Melinda can very well be one. I recall how aggressive they were in the lead-up. Now with FB and Twitter being funded by Russians, it's gotten a little creepier too. Pity. She did get busted trying to leg it - I recall

I am watching Gossip Girl these days, a few years later than the rest of the population, and am now in the final serie in the episode with Blair's marriage to Louis prince of Monaco. I find it very interesting how in their prenuptial agreement, that with a breech on her behalf within the first year, she would have to pay the dowry, or a large enough sum to make her mom nearly bankrupt. I would guess that there was a similar clause in the contract between CW and PA where she would be liable if she were to break free or be caught cheating. Hopefully it was only for a certain amount of time, not forever, for both their sakes.
