100% agreement! Those earrings are a bit much too! She should wear her hair down to pull that off.
Maybe they are sponsored and she has to show them off....?

When I noticed they were doing the matchy-matchy thing I said to myself: "... oh, they probably think that by matching people are going to say 'ah, look how coordinated and well-attuned they are to each other.'" And to that I say "nonsense!"

The "green things" are probably the loving couple's idea of doing something for the forest. Do you think they consider all the balls they attend as work? I am curious.

she looks older then him there. especially with those scars on her eyebrows showing. His tie is a nightmare. the choice of colour to show their greenness is most ridiculous, especially when you consider that the took the private jet to Geneva and the next day they flew to Leeds. Sorry, but as these are not typical head of state functions, I think they should fly regular to be credible. Most countries have strict regulations for when the head of state or ministers have to fly regular and when the event goes with the function. I think that MC needs to introduce this kind of etiquette to their princely parasites if they want to survive as a state.

I think that MC needs to introduce this kind of etiquette to their princely parasites if they want to survive as a state. Monaco doesn't care, they are too busy crawling over themselves sucking up to these two parasitic Green-friendly royal couple!. Here's the Monaco Matin article of their golden couple. These two get tackier and tackier with their need for attention - notice what they auctioning off this time - access to the palace.
Back charity for the royal coupleMonday, September 5, 2011 Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene attended Saturday night at the "Panda Ball" at the same time celebrating the fiftieth anniversary duWWF. During the gala evening in the face of some three hundred guests, the king spoke in favor of the actions of the global fund. Tweet They are on all fronts! Saturday night, Prince Albert II and his wife, Princess Charlene, were involved in "Panda ball", organized by WWF Switzerland. In the building of the driving forces in Geneva, the prestigious gala dinner, celebrating fifty years of action of the World Wildlife Fund, brought together over three hundred guests.
Among them, Andrew Hoffman, president of WWF, Yolanda Kakabadse , President of the International Section, James Leape, Director General, Pierre Maudet, Mayor of Geneva. The Nobel Peace Prize, Archbishop Desmond Tutu - that the princess had met during his honeymoon in South Africa, was also present at the high mass of ecology.
Dedicated to the International Year of Forests , enacted in 2011 by the UN, the evening was marked by a large auction. Hosted by Simon de Pury, it has raised vital funds to conservation projects undertaken by the WWF in the world, including the protection of tigers, turtles, gorillas and marine mammals. Under the hammer, the visit of the Prince's Palace, followed by refreshments in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses was awarded 100,000 Swiss francs (about 89,320 euros)!
The commitment of the sovereign Speaking to invited guests, Prince Albert II wanted to renew its commitments and those of his government. "You know, I myself decided to devote much of my energy and my time to the preservation of our planet's biodiversity and climate, he said. I do it in all international fora where I have to express myself and to defend causes that I believe. Monaco is also the resolute action of my government. And I also do through my Foundation I created in 2006, and is now engaged in more than one hundred projects throughout the world. "
Note that in partnership with WWF, the Foundation Prince Albert II of Monaco implemented to safeguard the Mediterranean bluefin tuna, that of the Amur tiger in China. The conservation of the Toliara reef complex, or the preservation of water resources in the Himalayan regions. So many fights that are supporting these prestigious events.

someone please clue me in about her peculiar dresscode: she is wearing a short daydress to a gala dinner and a long dress with flipflops to a museum opening. seen in the full I think the dress is rather bland and although I like the colour, I don't like it with the context and it is a bit boring. more like a bag then a dress. the hair looks horrible. the earrings are terrible. They look like she won them in the fair.

Clearly, you are jealous if you think that she looks like a flat board with an expensive piece of green or drapery fabric thrown over her manly body - which is what she looks like to me. As long as the sugar loonies (who share the same planet as the dumb-as-a-rock Con Artist) keep drooling over her - this draq queen will continue to live in her delusional world that she is some style icon. Charls spend all her time - well in between shopping - drooling over photos of herself and reading what the sugar loonies have to say about her - her clothes and of course hew expensive gaudy jewelry. Anyone with an iota of style or common sense find Chalrs and her sucker Prince laughing stocks.

But if this was to be black tie, then yes she is inappropriately dressed. It's called she can't win for losing. She must have no one helping her now that she is princess. I guess she figures she can do as she pleases.

This fabric must have come from a couch somewhere, where as the fabric from the dress at Leeds looks like it came from bedroom drapes. If she's redecorating the palace, she's probably trying to be both fashion forward AND environmentally efficient - she's recycling all the fabric and making her wardrobe from what's being discarded. ;D

Albets tie looks like he stole a piece of the drapes too. That print is way too large for such a flimsy tie.

You just have to laugh at Monaco's media spin on Albert and Charlene galloping the world attending parties - away from Monaco - in the name of humanitarian work. From the Monaco Telecom:
Charity tour for royal coupleBy B. Ulrich September 6, 2011
This weekend, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene ran for Europe, or rather good causes: nature protection in Switzerland on Saturday, helping disadvantaged young patients in England on Sunday. First stop: Geneva. There, in the city of watchmaking as WWF organized his famous charity event, the Panda Ball. Specifically, in the Bâtiment des Forces driving, stunning ancient waterworks converted into a cultural and events. The royal couple appeared dressed all in green. For recall, the Panda Ball is a major event organized by WWF to raise funds. We remember it very well in the 2007 edition which was held in the Principality and where the future princess of Monaco had raised an astonishing white dress decorated with a huge Panda signed Isabel Kristensen, a real sensation!
this year the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the WWF and the International Year of the forest. She was also an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the Foundation Prince Albert II and the international organization. Indeed, many projects implemented by the WWF, such as conservation of Toliara reef complex, that of the Amur tiger in the northeast of China or that of the Mediterranean bluefin tuna, are supported by the founding of the Prince.
wetness in a tropical jungle scenery, Simon de Pury, auctioneer, has inflamed the auction. Starting with a private tour of the palace complete with a refreshment in the presence of their Highnesses. It is not known whether a dip in the pool was planned in the program, the fact remains that someone has generously paid the tidy sum of 100,000 Swiss francs (more than 90 000 euros) for it.
The next day, direction Leeds in England for an evening hosted by the Variety Club in Yorkshire. The prestigious association that also celebrated its half century hosted for the second time a sovereign of Monaco. In 1973, Prince Rainier was accompanied by Princess Grace, who had accepted the invitation. This year, Albert and Charlene appeared smiling in the words of the newspapers, the princess radiant in a long sheath dress shimmering satin. The cause, it has not changed, support for disadvantaged young patients, 400,000 dollars were collected.
In short, the couple have is back in its own way, generous and glamorous.
