I think we need to add WC's boobs BEFORE and AFTER pictures in this thread. There are still people who believe she didn't have any plastic surgeries done on her body.  IMO she had her boobs "adjusted" a couple of times. Look at them in her latest PDV magazine cover picture. From 0 cup to full C cup! |

Yeah baby! ;D Let the world see a natural beauty WC is today. She is lucky to marry an old and rich guy to pay for her "natural transformation". Does anyone on this board think that these pea brains who are surrounding PA truly think, or thought, that if they took a girl who had absolutely nothing - in any department - and "re-created her" - re made her face and body - put her in expensive designer clothes - made up a CV for her - that they could then sell her as as "fairytale - dream come true" story. You know turn the "ugly duckling" into "the swan" type of thing. Do you suppose PA and company thought this sort of "story" would work in this market place today? Apparently there are many people who just don't see what is obvious to others. I remember when Madonna's video "Material Girl" came out. She did her 'version" of Marilyn Monroe's "Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend" scene - I can't tell you how many people said to me that Madonna looked "exactly like Marilyn" - They "looked like twins" - "no one can tell the difference" . I was floored by these comments - but really truly many people saw no difference between Madonna and Marilyn. Maybe PA is like one of these people - maybe so are his advisers! Maybe they really don't see the difference between Grace and Charlene - on any level. Maybe they really think what they have created is wonderful. Pathetic, I know - but a possibility. I'm just trying to figure out what the hell are ans were these people thinking?! |

[/quote] Let me try to explain it to you (that is what I heard from wife of one of Albert's inner-circle friend/employee); the Palace and Albert never thought about WC as anything more then booty call/arm candy for Albert. One year before Albert took over they thought that it would be good for Albert's image as the future sovereign (and to erase the guy rumors, as well to derail media's focus from illegitimate children popping out from everywhere) to have a "steady" girlfriend/companion. Someone attractive looking with no apparent scandalous life and someone available, willing to wait and accepting of Albert's lifestyle. After looking into dozen of prospects (girls that Albert met and had affairs with before) they zero in on WC. She was attractive enough, Albert liked that she was an athlete, he liked her "simplicity" and humor. She had no apparent scandalous past (except for her lifestyle while she was in England...so I heard), no children, no previous marriages and most of all Albert felt comfortable around her. He went to SA to "reconnect" with her and "the rest is history". Both Albert and WC planned how to move her permanently to Monaco to be close to her new Boss and her new job. They came with a brilliant idea of WC training for the Olympic Games , so there she goes. WC was put in a small apparent and was given an allowance (nothing much at first, but more then WC ever had in her life and could dream off). Longer she stayed her allowance and perks got bigger. The Palace and Albert never thought that one day she would get the ring (she was considered a temporary solution until "things" settle down. But WC never stopped thinking about her ultimate goal. Once she moved to Monaco she told all her friends that she is determined to stay there forever. She was so afraid to lose her prize that she refused to go to SA and see her family for four years. That was OK with them because they knew their daughter is working hard on her dream to come true. Also, she had nothing else going for her in SA or anywhere else, so....After the yacht girl pictures and after being ignored by Albert for a while, WC got afraid that she might lose her golden opportunity (the way she called it) and decided to invest in plastic surgeries. With the help of her "palace mentor" and couple of friends she started her transformation. And it worked on stupid Albert! She was back. Albert never thought of her as his future wife until week of Victoria's wedding. Lets not forget that couple of months before "the engagement" he made WC wait for him in front of the hotel on a dark street in NY while he was inside with his friends. IMO the proposal was a "spur of the moment" decision. He finally succumb to the pressure to marry...he also liked idea of being photographed and talk about in glossy magazines. WC's role from the day one was to create the buzz for Albert and Monaco. They needed someone who lives for the spot light and is ready and gutsy enough to do whatever it takes to be on the front page. They found that person in WC. The Palace and Albert thought WC did a great job of promoting Monaco. Suddenly there was her picture and word "Monaco" on front pages. Now that they finally decided to make her official they want to make her into international star (outside of France and Germany) as well to promote Monaco. P Caroline will continue doing her thing and will represent Monaco for anything cultural and intellectual, Albert will continue his lifestyle as before and WC will become socialite and represent Monaco at fashion shows, festivals and award shows internationally. She will also be seen in Monaco with Albert at all national holidays and Balls. I was told that Albert and WC already don't spend more then two to three days in a row a month together. In between that they also meet for the events. The most time they are together is when they travel for official visits. Pretty much they already live separate lives.... |

Again, you hit the nail exactly on the head Royal Pauper. It is obvious to me that these two spend as little time together as possible. Charlene used to hang with Albert and his friends when they went on vacations, nos she has to bring her own friends (bought and paid for) to keep her occupied. As I noted elsewhere, I thought it was so telling when Jenny Crwys-Williams asked Charlene to describe her daily day, spending any time with her soon-to-be husband was only indirectly alluded to when she stated that in the evening she has events to attend.
But hey, she won - and that's all Charlene cares about. Dignity or self-respect are as foreign to this girl as the French language she can't master.

I'm not saying she uses him, BUT, isn't there some famous plastic surgeon with a new technique in NY? It's the one that just "redid" Kurt Cobain's wife - Courtney Love? Is that why Trashy was in NY for her "wedding showing"? No other reason for her to being in NY with Demi and ashton (and all the Kabbalah buddies) that I can imagine.

If not Love's plastic surgeon - Christy Brinkley's dermatologist Dr. Wexler for some new plumbing. No way was she there just for a wedding shower! (Someone should explain to CW that just because a doctor and help someone with Christy Brinkley's bone structure - doesn't mean they can work the same miracles on a woman like her.)

Yes - but it's NOT working - anywhere. She's not and never will be an international sensation - unless she does something so outrageous and scandalous that she becomes a sensation - then what have they gained? She's already a joke among the "socialites" they are trying to attract. She doesn't wear clothes well at all - she doesn't have the body or presence - okay, sometimes she looks nice - but so what!? I know she's hurt PA's already thin credibility with many of the "secret" organizations he'd like to be part of. (I know this for a fact.) PC can't be thrilled with her as a person to represent Monaco. And I'm sure she isn't pleased with CW's family. All CW can do is bring Monaco down. That's already been shown. It's just going to get worse. So why are they continuing with this sham? I get what and why they thought in the beginning this may be a good idea - but to take it to this absurd extreme! That I don't get.

Think about the social level they have to be if they are using Charlene to elevate their status? I know some people thought I was being unreasonable because I rarely had anything nice to say about all of Charlene's new multi-thousands outfit that she now wears to each event. But, the woman doesn't have the body nor the presence - she actually makes most clothes look worse that they would on anyone else. All of these years and all of these designers - there has not been one instance where an outfit she wore being a hit with the public and having a financial impact - as with Kate. Not one! CHARLENE DOES NOT MAKE CLOTHES OR ANYTHING ELSE LOOK GOOD. This woman looks like a drag queen and she actually does an injustice to these high-end designer clothes line. Honestly CM, if this is true about Albert's feeling, then there's hope for him. really. Seriously. Because for awhile I actually thought he was proud of his little creation and thought he really believed that he struck economical gold. ALL Opinions are welcomed on Royal Opinions, but realize this board was started because we couldn't voice our critical opinions about Charlene. So, do not be surprised when others do not share your view of Charlene. As for Charlene being classier than what (assuming the entire family) she is marrying into, I guess it depends on your definition of classy. No, Charlene has not been married nor have any kids, so to some that makes her better than ALL the Grimaldis ever. But in the literal defintion of the word classy ( having elegance or taste or refinement in manners or dress), I suggest you check out what the trashy dressing ill-mannered crass foul-mouth non-working high school drop-out Charlene looked like when Albert first dragged her to Monaco - before he started spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to clean her up. Whatever negative attributes people heap at the Grimaldis, Charlene surely does not care since she lapped after Albert for 5 years hoping and waiting to be one of them. |

If we're talking about "class" in the true, traditional sense of the word - Charlene was and still is hopeless. It has nothing to do with how many lovers one has had or not - or illegitimate children one has had or not. Or how much money one spends on cloths etc. It's an intangible style, a presence one either has it or not. CW doesn't have it and never will. Clearly Grace had it or she would not be a World Class Icon today. (Her sister's did not really have it by the way - not the way Grace did.) |
