Scandinavian Heads of State, European royalty, top diplomats, and distinguished members of the U.S. and Nordic cultural, educational, business, and philanthropic communities will mark the 100th Anniversary of The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) with a Centennial Ball on October 21 in New York City. The black-tie affair will begin with an elegant cocktail reception, followed by dinner and a gala evening of dancing.
The Centennial Ball will recognize the ASF's 100 years of building cultural and educational bridges between the United States and the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. The ASF has served as a leading cultural institution in promoting Nordic culture in the U.S., since it was founded in 1911 by Danish-American industrialist Niels Poulson and a group of other forward-thinking leaders.
