they are considered pretty useless. There is talk about lots of partying and also about drugs involved. I think wild is what the nice word is that is being used. They are not said to be particularly bright. Especially Andrea.

Surely that only works for models and actors? What kind of work can't you do with a few scratches on your face? Aside from the fact that I haven't the faintest idea what kind of work he does. I have this prejudice that he works just as hard as his hardworking siblings. Hedonisticly.

That's interesting about Andrea. I have a friend that have met him a few times and says he is a very nice, humble guy. And quite intelligent. She doesn't like Pierre, doesn't understand why he seems to be most accepted than his brother. About Charlotte she doesn't have too much to say because she hasn't run into her. What she has told me several times is that she doesn't like Caroline at all.

^Maybe it´s the same with Charlotte. People say she is arrogant, but imo she is just aloof towards strangers.

I think that Andreas school records are pretty telling. Caro had to buy him an education at a private school. Of the trio he is the least intelligent. Charlotte is normal, but since people around her are in spite of all their money are not intellectuals, she is considered smarter then she is. Pierre is between the two of them. Considering their background, they are not very high achievers. YOu have to remember that unlike normal kids, these ones had all opportunities at their beck and call. With private tutors to help them at all times. ANd still they didn't finish any better then a normal person. I think that says it all. They are overrated and underachieving...

Actually i think they are not overrated. Lots of people don't like them and prefers them away from the throne or Monaco. There are lots of people (Charlene flunkies and non flunkies) that consider them a waste of human beings. I like them, i don't think they are bad persons, but yes i can believe they might a need a kick in their asses for a wake up call.

I heard bad things about them before trashy and her lot occupied the scene. Not everyone who criticises is automatically trashies flunky. Some people may just care about their future...

Honestly, I think Pierre has gone out of his way to remain as private as he could, unless doing certain events for Monaco - several with Albert. I do not have enough information about Pierre to conclude he as as dumb as some think that he is. He didn't finish college it seems, but so has many other royals, including Victoria who will be Queen of Sweden and Harry has not even attended a university. Does Pierre spends ever day partying? I don't know. I would love for those who have insight on how he spends his days to share the info.

Imo it´s good that Harry decided not to attend a university, he is not scholastic blessed. He likes the arts and botanic, but the army was his childhood dream. I don´t know what Victoria would have done without her position. But I bet she would have finished university unlike her brother who is in his mid-30s and still at university.

Carl philip finished his studies of agriculture last year with a diploma. He studied graphic design for 3 years. as to Victoria she sytudied several topics that contributed to her rounded education. To her it was important to have an overview about a large variety of topics that fall into her path. SHe studied language, politics and had diplomatic training. Not mentioning military. QEII did not have a university degree and has done a great job. For Victoria it is important to understand what is going on around her and what she actually will be signing later. There is no need for her to have an academic degree. She has her path cut out for her. The trio though has no specific path. They can do what they like and are good at. So far they seem to be best at globetrotting.

That's what i meant with non-flunkies. That even before Charlene appeared in the scene, there were people that didn't like the Casiraghis, never did, never will. They are followed by their good looks and because they are Caroline's children and that's it. I don't know how bad any of them can be if they get to sit in the throne some day, but i don't think it can be worse than already is with Albert. So, i agree when you say that the best for Monaco would be if the Principality could become a constitutional monarchy where any of the trio actually don't have the power, like Albert current has.

Pierre's lawyers sent an absurd letter to the lawyer representing the other side in the night club brawl. Really Dumb Move. See below from today's NY Post: (June 7, 2012)
"Take It Back"
Lawyers for Monaco “royalty” Pierre Casiraghi and his posh pals Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld and Diego Marroquin are desperately trying to clean up their images, which were bruised by the “Battle Royale” — and have fired off a sternly worded letter demanding that negative things previously said about them must be retracted. The trio, along with Stavros Niarchos, were involved in an infamous brawl with businessman Adam Hock at Meatpacking club Double Seven in February. A letter from the “prince” and his pals’ lawyer Robert Dembia to Hock’s attorneys Joe Tacopina and Sal Strazzullo, seen by Page Six, demands: “I am writing to demand that each of you issue retractions of all of your false statements . . . on your letterhead, in writing . . . My purpose is to deliver your retractions to the appropriate news outlets in an attempt to repair the damage you have done to the reputations of Mr. Roitfeld, Mr. Casiraghi and Mr. Marroquin.” The letter goes on to issue a wish list of statements they say must be retracted, including one made by Hock, “They expected to be treated like the royalty they are. They didn’t get what they wanted, and it pissed them off.” It also itemizes Strazzullo’s offending comments such as, “They threw the first punch,” and Tacopina’s quotes including, “They’re international bar brawlers. Paris, Belize, the US . . . These four are a bunch of self-entitled punks who don’t have anything better to do than spend their parents’ money.” And Tacopina’s comments about Princess Grace’s grandson Casiraghi, who had claimed his injuries forced him to take a month off work, “This poor kid who doesn’t work, couldn’t work for 30 days . . . I think what that means is that he couldn’t go to the club for a month.” Strazzullo said, “This lawyer has no basis to ask us to retract anything. If he wants to get a lesson in the law I will gladly give it to him.” Tacopina told us, “We stand by everything we said.” Hock is fighting misdemeanor assault charges and will be back in court next month.

LOL idiocity seems to be contagous in that family. Who do tey think they are? There is a lawsuit going on. They should wait the outcome. If they feel that what has been said is false, then they should go to court....again. Apparently they didn't realize that a courtcase would entail publicity. And it is the lawyers job to defend his client on all fronts. Looks like the defendant has a better one who knows what he is doing. But it is typical that all these people care for is their image and how they look. Justice does not seem to be their first interest in the matter as it should be. The longer this is going on, the worse they look and the more credible the defendant becomes. Not sure about the US legal system, but from what I remember from the DSK case is that the lawyers can say whatever they want outside the courtroom to make their client look good.

Wouldn't this be preparation for the lawsuit to follow? First, you complain in writing, the other side ignores it, you win the current lawsuit, then you serve for defamation. I think it's literally going through the motions.

but then they would have to sue the lawyers and not their defendant. IMO they would have to win first and then if the lawyer and defendant don't stop you can go for defamation. this can be also seen as an attempt to intimidate the defendant and his lawyers, which it probably was supposed to be.

since the owner was a witness, they probably hope to discredit him as a witness. Before they were only going after Hock, now it is after the club. It's ridiculous to say that they shouldn't have served Hock alcohol. That is only true if he was already too drunk to begin with and then went out to drive or cause major damage due to alcohol. To me this sounds as if Pierres case is pretty weak against Hock and they are now going after potential strong witnesses in his favour. It's lawyers tactics, when they are grasping at straws. Even if the owner wins his case, they will try to bring it up in the Hock case and discredit him due to the lawsuit. All pretty predictable tactics. Obviously Pierres lawyers are more into making heaps of money for themselves then in properly advising their client to settle. The damage done is now bigger then if they would have just cured the bruises and damaged egos.
