The first thing I looked for this morning while watching the Papal Installation was Trampolina -- and, there she was in BLACK! The only royals who wore white were Paola and Maria Teresa. Sophie of Liechtenstein and Letizia of Spain are both Catholic and also wore black. So, now I am thoroughly confused.
Anyway, Trampolina looked incredibly uncomfortable. Once again, a DIS-Grace!
BTW, Paca, I looked at the series of photos you posted and I don't think that woman is Caroline.

From Wikipedia:
Privilège du blanc ("privilege of the white") is a traditional privilege extended to female monarchs entitled to the hereditary style of Catholic Majesty, and wives of such Catholic Monarchs, whereby they are allowed to wear white in an audience with the Pope.
So, either Trampolina got it wrong this time or she's just a friggin' idiot.

A king is on the same level in the worldly hierarchy and that's why their wives can wear white. I think Alberts equivalent ranking would probably be that of a bishop as prince of Monaco is a minor title.

Not a King but a Grand Duke. Is the distinction between an HRH and an HSH (which would explain Fat Al and Trampolina)?

Besides Alberts title has only been by disgression of the French king and at some time the Spanish king. It was never a title in it's own right. A Grimaldi decided to call himself prince one day and the French king alllowed it, because apparently he liked the guy. So Albert is only a prince because one of his ancestors was liked by a French king (for whatever reason....who knows what he had to do for it) and the following kings allowed the heirs to continue to carry the title.

I think they are beige and black. But her outfit is too short. It has to cover the knee. Wonder how many popes it'll take for her to get it right....

I took screenshots of the new Pope's inaugural ceremony this morning from an Italian channel... eewwww Princess Disgrace and Tartbert with the new Pope. I wonder if the Tart told the Pope about his several illegitimate children? The Barsi was probably there with them. We did not see his face. Stephanie was the only Grimaldi worthy of being there. She is honest and open about her life, she is no fluff or bluff and she does a lot of charity work and she is a good mother. As far as the others... they have no place with the Pope.

That sad, sack face she wears is ridiculous --- trying to look pious and, instead, she looks like an idiot. I'm guessing she didn't read the Memo -- this is a HAPPY occasion you idiot!

And what was the language CC used? The language of trash! I don't know how either one of them has the nerve to even face a Pope!

She should have taken care of having it done properly before even travelling to Rome. The black veil is a joke. She should have worn a proper hat as she is not a true Catholic. No class.

(she's an insult to Catholics)
I think socially the papacy is starting on the wrong foot as it is, with the Argentinian PM Kirchner (if im not mistaken, not a Catholic either) highjacking the pope's moment with her issues over the Falklands. The pope didn't like her husband, the gall she has to throw a dark cloud on a festive time for him? Anyways, Albert & CC are small potatoes in the bad taste department by comparison, but I do agree CC should have worn a hat.

No class. she is not used to a veil. Apparently it kept falling off her head (bimbo didn't think that idiots can attach it) so she looks like corrupt Bhutto that ended up getting bombed away... she had no idea how to wear it either because she grew up in designer clothes and only put the headscarf on for the media...

actually looking at the pics again, I think no one wears a veil like the Spanish Royals. I noticed how Sophia always wears hers an Letizia looks great with hers too. The others make it look like they are little girls playing bride with a curtain...and a black one as that. So maybe they all shoud drop that veil thing and get some simple hats to wear if they have to. Or a simple headscarf, to avoid an Ascot like circus....

Charlene reminds me of when someone puts a book on your head and tells you to balance it. She is stiff and awkward (but then when is she not stiff and awkward). I wonder who "yelled" at Charlene for the wearing white faux pas? Also the reasons that Kings and their wives wear white is because once upon a time it was thought that Kings descended from God thus the difference between a prince who was given his title and one born with it. I think the fact that the vatican had to make a statement about her wearing white was loud enough yelling to be heard by someone with half a brain in MC. At one point ALbert seems to look at her like he is proud at her achievement to get the colour right. Bow next time work at the length of the outfit and that veil...and please get your hair done too. It looks horrid.
