yup and there is one in spring as well, so if you like that kind of thing, you can get through university pretty well that way. Munich is expensive though. But there are students who have family there and study in other cities, who come specificly for that time...

Well, Monaco has been outdone in outlandish extravagance by Germany's high-paid waitresses. Bar staff everywhere revolt!! It's obviously the "it" thing to do for two weeks! I'm shocked Karl Lagerfeld ever left!! LOL Oktoberfest waitress is one of the best paid and thought after student jobs. If you get in, you try to get in again. Or do you earn about 15000 Euro in 2 weeks? Usually works too as obviously they like to hire staff they already know. They get 12% of the price of each beer they serve plus tips. BUt it's a tough job. you are more likely seeing tourists in Dirndl than locals. Local wannabes and z-listers tend to wear traditional outfit. Real Bavarians put their sunday clothes on when they go to town. Dirndl is in a lot of rural places everyday clothes. I lived there for many years and I have known a few waitresses from university. A lot of people take time off from their proper job to work at the Oktoberfest. You have to like it though. www.abendzeitung-muenchen.de/inhalt.oktoberfest-das-verdient-eine-wiesn-bedienung-15000-euro-sind-drin.333cc77f-04a7-4878-93b5-48499d85abdd.html
