Letizia has been radiating such pride at her husband, it's like a tonic on their couple. It's beautiful to watch such devotion in a modern couple, even more when they are role models and figure heads.

(In case you don't know about "The Duchess of Alba.") I once traded Christmas cards with The Duchess of Alba. i just googled her and unfortunately i will have to send her much younger husband, Alfonso Díez Carabantes, a condolence card. RIP Duchess! What "a trip" she was. (Google her image to view her journey with plastic surgery.) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cayetana_Fitz-James_Stuart,_18th_Duchess_of_Alba

My typing skills are zilch, I'm afraid. I took a shortcut by foregoing the preposition. Oops! I'm just glad I rarely make spelling mistakes in a language other than my mother tongue (pats herself on the back ) What a lovely eccentric royal, just the way I like them. The younger husband at least didn't take away from her natural heirs. That she chose to divide her fortune and assets before her death to her children tells you she lived by her rules and had a heart. THAT's a role model in my book.

I think it's hilarious that a socialist republican like Hollande greets them with his unwed mother of his children ex. What does he think he is? King François?

They've landed in Lousiana for a US visit where they'll end up later on at the White House. Spain should be highly congratulated for taking in the stranded migrants of the Aquarius after the new right wing government of Italy refused them entry. Maybe while they're in Washington, they can make the case for the mistreated Mexicans. After all, many are descended from the Spaniards. One dares to hope. www.newmyroyals.com/2018/06/king-felipe-and-queen-letizia-came-to.html

Why don't THEY take a trip down to Mexico, meet with the President of Mexico (and Carlos Slim richest guy in the world) and urge THEM to improve the conditions of THEIR country so the unhappy Mexicans can stay THERE and be better served as Mexican citizens.

Actually, I think they're in the US as a return favour for King Carlos's visit to KSA for a bailout. I guess borrowing money from MbS entailed trying to make Trump look good posing with royalty. That said, Trump has rehired Cambridge Analytica via its new face, Data Propria to rig the next election in 2020. One would hope everyone were comfortable in their home country, but look even here in Canada where one man, Sy Jacobson, is capable of blocking my movements by threats and manipulation. I'm not sure relying on billionaires is the democratic way. In the US, the legislative and military cant even contain the executive branch of power and are becoming quick candidates for the Hague tribunal in human rights violations of tens of thousands, let alone one woman who knows not to trifle with the system or impose on spciety and just had a weak exit plan, not realizing the pan awaited after the cauldron. I have made my bed, however Trump could stop separating children from mothers if he were actually a good negotiator which we've seen in NK, he's not. Brutality is always the go-to for these people and you can tell by the company they keep. www.wired.com/story/data-propria-data-cambridge-analytica/www.euroweeklynews.com/news/on-euro-weekly-news/world-news/1472118-former-king-of-spain-makes-private-visit-to-saudi-arabiaThey've landed in Lousiana for a US visit where they'll end up later on at the White House. There is also the time involved to PROVE that these kids REALLY BELONG to the adults strapping them on. There are all kinds of smoke and mirrors involved. Wish Mexico would man up and make it a better place to live. With all the natural resources, oil reserves, mineral reserves, vacations spots, tourists attractions and other industries, there is still the nasty drug cartels that pimp out and use the Mexican citizens. But if you go up against the cartels, officials are usually snuffed out quickly. It's not pretty there but Mexico needs to take better care of their Citizens. The USA cannot be the sugar-daddy forever.

The US does indeed have a surplus of old white men that lust after younger women, I can see where you'd get the sugar daddy analogy just looking at Trump with his Playmate dalliances. However, you guys have to decide whether you're a disaster or a success story, it's whiplash going from poor-US-being-taken-advantage-of-by-every-ally and rich tax dodger that creates inequities in the system. I'm not an expert on Mexico, but theres always been a lot of foreign ownership. The bottom line is, as I'm starting to read the Rome Statute, there is currently in the US an exercise in mental and emotional torture on legal asylum seekers; unlawful expulsions of Haitians that turned up at Canada's border; and an attack on healthcare that shows withholding of medical care to targeted groups. Those constitute crimes against humanity. I personally don't want to see the US on the wrong side of the Hague but its turning into a bad actor under....a bad actor, and some have waited a long time for the US to get its comeuppance, beware. You can yell peace in one direction (usually where Trump is per$onally profiting) while you're engaging in gross abuses of power elsewhere. The higher authorities no doubt know better than me. Let's also bear in mind the Marshall Plan was a lending scheme and not a freebie throwing scheme, so it would be nice to stop acting like the world owes you when you've been paid back handsomely. The US lent reconstruction money, it didn't buy people's souls. There is also the time involved to PROVE that these kids REALLY BELONG to the adults strapping them on. When did the Haitians show up? After the Clintons failed to use the funds they raised for Haiti properly?
