The theme for 2017 is the 'Art Nouveau'. Which celebrates one of the most elegant architectural and artistic movements of the time: the Viennese Secession. A journey through time between 1892 and 1906, when it appeared this new style which spread first in Austria and then in the rest of Europe through the creativity of artists like Joseph Olbrich, Otto Wagner, Koloman Moser and Gustav Klimt. The idea of Lagerfeld is to give life to an atmosphere very realistic event, inspired by the architectural imprints of Josef Hoffmann and dell'irrinunciabile Atelier Viennese Wiener Werkstätte. if they want to make it successful they need the children of Caro. Hopefully someone from the familly is there... maybe Stephenie's kids? but please not the brother of Charlene...

It'll be news if he isn't there!! In those pix you can see how puffed up her face is. What a change from what she originally looked like...

Tbh I don't mind not seeing Charlene there... Yes, I hope her kids are there, doubt though that Beatrice will attend so soon after the birth

Stunning the absence of Albert… it is hardly believable. Rainier was never absent from the Bal de la Rose, including that of March 1983, which the death of Grace. Sad for the memory of Rainier and Grace.
Thankfully Caroline is still the first lady of the Principality. Because Charlene - probably an excellent mother (together with all the nanny’s) - she can not handle this type of events that made Grace shine…
But it is still no excuse for A&C… JMO Albert respect the memory of the Bal or cancel the Bal.

the haters of Caro & co are already in full swing... JMO Caro’s dress is beautiful and suits her perfectly. www.klimt.com/en/gallery/photographies/emilie-floege4.ihtml Karl Lagerfeld - True artist. Bravo! Caro looks superb! JMO Charlotte's dress, worn by her mother.. a few years ago… is made for small breasts - otherwise one falls into the vulgarity. She looks superb! Beatrice, looks like grace with the bun - absolutely superb! Have a nice weekend all!

^I didn't know that. I thought the dress was fun and fit to the theme, but knowing now the historical link makes it even more awesome. Of course at trf one has to say the original is better and the one Caro wears doesn't do justice. Like, are you telling me if Caro had worn the exact same dress, people would have made less comments saying the dress is awful? Suuuuuure, Jen. So many of them have an irrational dislike for this woman, it's too funny. A nice Sunday, to you too
